I was reading so many comments were people like what did she expect for marrying the emperor? I kept thinking well he was an emperor when she married him. He was a prince I think and she probably didn’t realize just how power hungry and ambitious he was or would be calm you know the saying that absolute power corrupts absolutely. I think that he didn’t really love her because if he truly loved her once, he realized that the palace light wasn’t for her he would’ve let her go, and let her take their kids with her because he has a harem after all, he sired another child with the current empress. So he was clearly capable having more children Or maybe his chronic illness made him impotent or infertile since he actually hadn’t seemed to desire a child in 15 years.

I think at the end of the day he was just an extremely insecure and paranoid little man.

This one kind of drove me crazy about who rules the world. They both fought the fight for the kingdom to unite the kingdom, and then I know that the male lead had sacrifice a lot of his life force because the female lead was injured and he only had like 10 years left to live. So they gave up the fight to the second leads in order to go live a quiet life in the mountains away from all the political drama.It honestly drove me crazy because I was like what was the whole point then if you’re just gonna give up like that.

Even though the female lead never wanted to rule and always wanted to live a quiet, peaceful life, she knows that the male lead loves his country more than anything and decides that she would rather rule at his side, then live a quiet life without him

I heard he does become the emperor at least in the novel. Although I think it was fake news, because somebody said the novel has a tragic ending with him becoming the emperor and her leaving or disappearing. Someone else on here though said that that’s not actually the case and that you have to be careful because people have been known to give out false information about the novel. I also googled it and it said it as a happy ending so I was hoping that that means he does become the emperor with her at his side, but we’ll have to see

Oh ok. I’m confused then because in the drama, she was poisoned by heaven’s grief, and there is no antidote. The only antidote is the one the mail it has which is through cultivation I think. So how could her mom give her an antidote every month unless it was not really an antidote just something to suppress the symptoms but not really cure her?

So it looks like episode 13 he finally starts to find out who she is since 27 comes back critically injured after being captured.
