Thank you for reading & adding such a rich commentary! It sounds like we were on the same wavelength. I especially…
Thanks for your reply. I think what I would hope to see in the final episodes is for Shen Haoming to drop his guard and relax and be honest with Yan. I think he has tried to be the son that he thinks his father expects. He needs to be totally honest about his original deception toward Yan as well as his sincere love for her. He needs to be more agressive in his pursuit of her and when she turns away, he needs to run after her. In many of the recent episodes he watched her walk away and was too proud to go after her. I found myself shouting at him! I also think he needs to take responsibility for his son and reveal he is his father even if it means bombing his career. He should be willing to give up his professional success and even start over like Yan did and be true to his feelings. Maybe he should start a business cultivating the agave plants. that was the only time that he really seemed happy in his work. He really doesn’t seem happy in the family business and just goes through the motions like a robot. What would you like to see happen?
I usually know who I am rooting for in a drama. I don’t really know who I want to win in this one. My favorite character right now is Joo Ha Neul. even though he’s keeping her secret, he is my favorite character. Jeong Won has no idea that he has liked her for so long and she could have had the upper class life she wanted in an honest relationship. Her relationship built on lies will eventually collapse and not allow her to have an honest one with Ha Neul.
Your detailed review is excellent and spot on. Zhao Lusi certainly carries this drama and even though I am a fan of William Chan, his one dimensional stoic persona could have been played by other actors as well. He is similar to the role he played in A date with the Future. That aside, it’s ok for me to overlook this since he is so nice to look at! Yes, the styling and wardrobe may have been the best and most diverse I’ve seen in a drama. Adding to that, her business delves into the fashion industry and the really life problem of cheap, internet counterfeit goods. This really is a high value production in every aspect: Story, depth, realism, individual growth and interpersonal relationships. I also have enjoyed watching the sisters find each other again and rebuild a relationship that was fractured by abusive, selfish, neglectful and ignorant parents. Even her sisters boyfriend has shown personal growth. there are only 7 episodes left ands I will be sorry when it’s over.
Like you posts as always. Couple of thoughts of my own from a slightly different perspective. I don't think she…
Great post and responses. One thing i am sure of is that this drama has a lot of us thinking more complexly than most of the dramas we watch. For a daily, 100 episode drama, this one is a gem. I hope they can keep up this quality throughout.
very good analysis. I like how it isn’t the typical naive FL who is taken advantage of and it takes 30 episodes for her to realize it and change. Lots of good characters in this one.
For the most part I enjoyed this s drama. Like many others I had to fast forward the long pause scenes although the musical c during those was really good. I found her girlfriend annoying most of the time as well. My only complaint is that like many dramas that drag things out the ending, while satisfying, could have been a bit longer. I felt like there were scenes we would have all liked to see.
So, Yeong Chae's mom knows more about Yeong Chae's father's death than she should. She knows the FL father was…
I had a feeling that was who he was framed for the murder of when in an earlier episode the evil mother said her husband was dead. I’m sure that she’s the one who was behind the murder and the frame up.
I know what she is doing is wrong, but I’m rooting for her. Her “friend” really is a horrible person who has taken the only thing she has of value (her talent) and belittled her throughout her life. I don’t blame her and I’m rooting for her. More than getting the guy, I hope her talent is recognized and rewarded. As for her mother, she doesn’t deserve the daughter she abandoned.
This is another good daily. it’s funny that that Se Hun’s father is played by the actor who was in Cinderella Game which was the daily before Querns’s House and his mother was in Beauty and Mr. Romantic. They both seem like similar characters in this one, lol. After Queens House, I’m glad this one seems like another good one!
It seems like she doesn’t recognize the mother that abandoned her. She didn’t even change her name so I’m not exactly sure why she doesn’t. Unless she does and she’s just playing dumb at some point it will be revealed.
After watching Queen‘s house, which I absolutely loved I wasn’t ready to jump into this new drama right away. I just caught up with the first six episodes and I have to say I think I’m going to enjoy it as much as I did Queen‘s house. It seems like it’s fast pace, which is always nice and has some great Potential for revenge! I’ll be looking forward to watching it daily just like I did the prior one
