So I randomly started watching this show one evening just to have something on during dinner. I thought it looked fun and chill, and honestly, it was a nice break from obsessing over some Kdrama love story for a few days.
From the first episode, I was totally blown away by the cast...they are all super smart. And then the first game happened… and wow, I definitely underestimated how intense this would get 😂 Korea really knows how to make a game that’s NOT just a game. Honestly, if you’re not a genius or some kind of math whiz, don’t even try to fully understand the rules, just enjoy watching the players do their thing.
SPOILER ALERT: I was immediately hooked on Si Won and Dong Jae, so naturally I latched onto their alliance. I was kinda annoyed at the “Orbits alliance” because they were so focused on taking them down...it felt like they’d never let them in. And Orbit’s whole rule about “helping the weaker players” ended up being kind of contradictory at times, which was frustrating.
But once Si Won and Seok Jin were left to rely on each other… holy heck, they became a power couple. Their determination and drive are insane. The day they ended up in the prison together? Mind blowing. Like, seriously...Seok Jin goes into the prison, solves a puzzle, opens a safe, loses his closest ally, sleeps maybe two hours to train for the next game -which he then WINS,comes back for an 8hour poker session, WINS again, goes back to the dorm, and then in the reward challenge gets the highest points again. If that isn’t a total mastermind, I don’t know what is.
Seriously, hats off to Seok Jin… and not to mention, he’s a total oppa ❤️🔥
I have to say, this was such a refreshing watch! Unlike shows like Singles Inferno or Love Island, where everyone is confident and picture perfect, this show highlights pure emotions and insecurities, the inner struggles that ordinary people probably experience at some point. I’ve read a lot of comments calling the guys “red flags,” and I get it…but honestly, none of them had romantic experience, so everything was new to them. On the journey to finding love, sometimes you have to break a few hearts or act like an idiot to learn 😂 What really impressed me were the girls. They went all in with open hearts and courage, and it was so heartwarming to see how they supported each other despite rivalries 🥰 The series also had me laughing a lot. There were so many hilarious moments. I mean, seriously, that guy actually jumped into the bushes to secretly listen to the girls’ debate?! 🤣 Some moments were just priceless. One thing I’d love to see in a future season is mentors being more involved with the participants during their stay, offering guidance. I think it could really enrich the experience for everyone.
The beginning was a bit slow and at first I wasn’t really sure what to expect. But I have to say, I absolutely love Jeon Yeo Been. She’s a little quirky, but at the same time she’s amazing at emotional scenes and makes everything feel very real. Ahn Hyo Seop is just… irresistible, no further explanation needed😂 The series genuinely surprised me. I really liked that it wasn’t easy to predict what would happen next. There were moments when I felt a bit confused, but everything eventually fell into place. Overall, it was a beautiful watch 😌
I don’t even know why I waited so long to watch this. I love haters to lovers story 😂 The main characters have amazing chemistry, and I really love how the story unfolds… It’s so beautifully shown here that behind every smile, there can be well hidden pain. The supporting characters also had fantastic stories… I think this has easily become one of my top K-dramas 🥹
This drama deals with a topic that’s still pretty taboo...domestic violence. Even though things are slowly improving, there are still many victims who are ignored or even blamed. Worldwide, about 30% of women experience violence from a partner, and sadly around 140 women and girls are killed every day by an intimate partner or family member. What I really liked was the character Jin So Baek. He’s quiet, calm, but you can feel there’s so much going on under the surface. His presence added a lot of depth to the story. Overall, the drama is emotional, realistic, and an important reminder that domestic violence is still a serious issue that shouldn’t be overlooked.
It was a beautifully melancholic watch… honestly, there were only a few episodes during which I didn’t cry. The first four episodes were a complete tearfall for me. I also lost someone very early in my life, so this drama touched a very sensitive place in my heart. Later on it got a bit lighter, and I really enjoyed the gentle, calm pacing.
Why you even watched it?i guess you were watching with your boyfriend.he may be showing you this series so that…
Lol, why so wounded? 😂 You actually sound desperately single if you enjoyed this dragged-out wannabe Western drama and still defend it years later. Different strokes for different folks, but seriously, grow up. 🥱aaand what moves, exactly? There’s literally none.Maybe you’ve been living under a rock… we in Europe have a very different kind of moves, Butthurt. 😏
It’s a good show, I’m not saying it isn’t… it’s unique in its own way, but it kinda bothers me that it focuses more on killing and dying than on the characters, which is pretty typical for something based on a comic.
The first couple of episodes are kinda "wtf"until it clicks what you’re actually watching. Some people say it’s about a serial killer, but I think that’s not really the point. It’s the story of a woman with big dreams who just doesn’t fit society’s idea of beauty. Her whole life is full of bullying and oppression, and you can really feel all that frustration boiling over...especially when she keeps running into violent men and sexual predators. In other tv show they said "Everyone’s a killer, you just have to meet the right person" and that hits hard when all you’ve ever known is psychological abuse. The show also shows how women can support each other, but also hate and sabotage or betray each other to get what they want. Honestly, the depth of this drama is way bigger than it seems at first glance.
Honestly, I was counting down the minutes to the last episode :( I’ve never had to force myself through a kdrama this hard… it was painfully boring. The plot dragged forever and went absolutely nowhere.Frustrating…
