I watched this drama while it was airing and I loved it then and still think it was one of the best kdramas I have ever watched and certainly one of JCW’s finest! I remember I had a soft spot for the wife and I really really wanted them both to finally be together. The end was heartbreaking for me. While it was airing, in any episode that they met I hoped we would witness some gentle, sweet moments between them or at least an emotion filled hug or a passionate kiss lol but weird that the couple never showed emotions like that.
The ONLY JCW drama that I didn’t enjoy and could not finish watching even though it was only 8 episodes. He is my ult favourite actor in K drama land and I really wanted to like this one for his sake but unfortunately it was a disappointment.
I am not his fan but watching Vincenzo currently and I think I started liking him. Previously I tried watching My Youth but it was quite boring so dropped it. Interested now in watching his other works. Maybe I’ll go with Innocent Man once I finish Vincenzo.
I paused the show after episode 4 and took a long break. Picked it back up from yesterday and on episode 8 right now. I like it enough to keep going. FL is my favourite but all the tenants are super annoying. I would have liked the show more if not for that super annoying gang. Let’s see if I can make it to the end.
This is a very interesting take! I see it kinda differently, and I actually like how their relationship is portrayed.…
I concur with your last paragraph the most. I do understand the rush because of it being a 12 episode drama and really wish dramas nowadays weren’t limited to the 12 episode format. 14-16 episodes allow more room for development and gradual build up that i miss. Like for instance it’s too early (in episode 5) that La ik is already feeling a bit possessive/ getting too nosey with what’s going on in his attorney’s life . Him actually moving in to live with her is a crazy leap imo even if it’s just about client and lawyer relationship. As for the rest of your post, I get your pov and probably most people are seeing it that way. Like I said it’s probably just me.
Finished Episode 5, and their relationship is progressing too quickly for me. I don’t know it’s not clicking with me for some reason. I love KJY and I started this show for him. Both the leads are acting well too, no complaints there but I still don’t love the show. I am watching it because it’s just interesting enough to keep going for now. I don’t find the chemistry that great. Also, I think the idea of a fan girl getting to live her fantasy in reality (even if it’s the demand of the script) just doesn’t agree with me, lmao. And going by the comments under me it’s clear that most people are loving the show so probably it’s just me.
I definitely liked the drama because imagine getting through 24 episodes in today’s day and age when you have gotten used to the 12 episodes format, without getting bored in between. However I honestly felt that the ending could have been better. The last scene imo didn’t do enough justice to my expectations. I don’t want to spoil the ending so that’s all I will say.
I agree. There’s just something about him. Magnificent.I’m marching through all his dramas. I started with…
Oh really! Thanks again for letting me know this. I am definitely going for this when I start missing him on screen again. It seems the new drama will take a while before coming to our screens.

Ah! Thanks for the info. I went on a long holiday and paused all my drama watching. Not sure if I will download the kisskh app just now …sigh! Maybe wait a bit more and it’ll land up on one of the main channels later. In other news, heard LMH is almost confirmed for a new historical drama 🎭

Yes I read it yesterday too. Good if he accepts but it’ll still be like a year at least before it’s aired. City Hunter is the one I want to watch the most right now.
