I am only 5-ish minutes in and I will not lie the biggest reason I'm watching this second season is for North and Sonic because they were done dirty in the first season and MICHAEL. MICHAEL. He is just so fucking good. Nuance. Emotion. Doing so much while doing so little.
Do Ba U is so afraid of his dream coming true.... because while it means the ultimate happiness, it also means the ultimate pain. And he's lived with this pain for so long that it's more comfortable for him to stay there rather than try something new, literally live out his dream.
Considering Fifa was just about to start a life abroad as was his dream, Hem had built a life for himself at Pokpa (the 15 year age difference....), it makes sense that it ended how it did. It was a mature ending and not a delulu ending. They both grew because of one another- Fifa finally opening his heart to his grandmother's dream- though his may never align he saw the beauty in it; Hem finally being able to heal and let go from his past.
This show was a slow burn, was NOT sure I was going to like it, but ended up really enjoying it in the end. The STUNNING scenery shots did not disappoint. I wanna go play with the elephants myself!
Like I do for most age-gap shows, I shall ignore the 15-year age difference between the mains.... XD
Overall I am enjoying it. Def one of those tourism shows, too, tho. Don't know if they have a specific name, but like Escape to Homestay (non-BL but with BL actors) is one that the actress playing the grandma Rudklao Amratisha was also in. And tourism isn't even the right word....
Like they had a whole scene about conservation of the forest and about preventing forest fires. In that other show it was about a huge dam and water conservation. So, whatever kind of show that is, lol.
EarthMix was about the only thing that carried me through this remake. And I'm glad to see Earth finally playing something other than the Strong Silent type (which he does well) cuz he does have such a sweet and goofy side.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a bad show. Definitely not my taste tho being very plot-driven, characters making ridiculous decisions based on that, Boss just *NOT* reading the room when it comes to Heng's feelings....
Ok, so, I also thought is was sweat, but I think it was actually a tear drop that fell? I think? That would make…
Was literally just finishing it up and had to come check the comments about it, lol.
Def came down the ridge to the tip of his nose, so maybe a test, but like sweat is more commonly known to do that and they don’t show where it came from….
Romantic answer: magical golden tears Silly Answer, but Plausible: sweat
I just rewatched the first episode and kinda wish I hadn't read the book. I remember being so fascinated by Pei…
I was just thinking if I should read the book or not while waiting for the rest of the show. I have some suspicions about Pei Su and what he might be up to and it's been fun to see it playing out.
We were so close this week!
But seriously. It was all cute and all made sense.

Tho I think things will change after this week's episode.....

OST is catchy, too.
