The problem is the book continues so we know where things are supposed to go. It feels like production wants to see if they can milk a second season for more money or they're terrible at planning the story arc. Neither one is a good thing.

If this was the ending and there was no book there might be a lot of complaining about how it ended but I wouldn't agree with it all. But that's not the case. The book continues with more content they're not covering. The cast likely won't all be back. Terrible.

Kind of more lighthearted and about an adventure. Not the deepest drama but I liked the charm of the main characters and I felt the main characters ended up with what they deserved (not referencing villains just the 3 main characters).

Is this drama more action heavy than drama/romance heavy? I'm really into palace dramas, but I think this…
I would say it's a mix like silvermcv says. There is action scenes, there is 'political intrigue' scenes and then there is some romance.

Thanks. I guess I'll have to go back and re-watch. I haven't been keeping as up to date with everything.

I am about to rip my heart out waiting for Xing'er to finally finally finally return to Yuwen Yue and fight…
I agree with you Grn. ZLY is a good actress but she's not great. I think where she (and her management team) are really good is in picking projects and that's why I'm willing to give anything with her name in it a chance.

Getting annoyed with all the hates of Shin Se Kyung and the drama. Yes, it's not perfect but it's really…
My only criticism of her is her face is a bit stiff (especially the cheeks/lower half of her face) but maybe that's just how she is and it can't be changed... not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. The overall cast in this show isn't very strong anyways so it's not like she's constantly conversing with actors blowing her out of the water. They're average like she is and that's fine. They're convincing enough.

Btw I think that the new dark Yan Xun looks really hot! Great costumes and styling. He looks very manly and dangerous....…
He didn't order it but he didn't exactly tell them to send the two royals home alive or in one piece or healthy. He has also personally led them on brutal rampages through a city and some villages. He likely had a good idea what was going to happen and instead of picking good men and ordering them not to do anything - he sends random men, the princess and prince both get scarred forever. And these are two people who both stuck their necks out for him multiple times. And that's how he repays them? I don't see any appeal. He's a brutal warlord who's even worse than the king of Wei. At least the king of Wei has people around who stop him from a lot of his madness.

Forgettable drama. It's not bad and you should give it a try if you're considering but I doubt this is one you're going to remember a year from now.

So if I beleive the recommendation it is like Go Princess Go, another parody of Bu Bu Jin Xin? Or time traveling…
I think it's less of a parody than Go Princess Go was. She seems to get stuck in a body. But it would also seem the owner of that body still inhabits it as well. Not as ridiculous as Go Princess Go but not as serious as Bu Bu Jin Xin. Somewhere in the middle which is just fine. You get funny moments but nothing quite as over the top as Go Princess Go.

The cast all put in good performances but for large portions of the drama it's still not enough to overcome sloppy writing, character development and the story.

The plot in the last third of the show is pretty weak to say the least but it's a romantic comedy and the main leads seem to have good chemistry in my eyes.

Hi, I'm familiar with the image of blurred knives, however I'm curious about the censorship in Nine:…
You're probably right. They don't want to promote something for free. An American produced show might put tape over it or ask you to turn your shirt inside out and it might not go to the extreme of hiding record covers but product placement is a big deal in Korea, America and everywhere.

Man things really took a turn in episode 14 and was still really good in episode 15. I really hope they finish strong for 16-18 because this is good and interesting.

I have tried to watch this drama I would say at least 4 times, in all I have dropped. I am going to try again.…
I'm struggling through it too and I'm on episode 40. I can't believe this goes on for another 22 episodes. The writing, directing and acting aren't very good. Maybe for some the pairing of the main characters is enough but it's not for me. I'm almost watching it as a comedy at this point to laugh at some of the hilarious monologues (that I assume they want us to take seriously). Monologues like "I am so great, this person is so bad" and it starts to feel like Anchorman "I look good, I mean really good, HEY EVERYONE COME SEE HOW GOOD I LOOK". Now Anchorman is about a fool who is an anchorman while this show is suppose to be about a bunch of military geniuses.

I feel like the show didn't know what it wanted to be. There was bromance and action scenes. And then there was a giant conspiracy and who was at the top? I don't remember anymore because the show wasn't that good so I didn't get invested. The whole love thing was spliced in between all this and it wasn't particularly bad but it wasn't developed in a good way because of the other stuff going on.

So like I said - this drama was kind of all over the place and there were problems. I was also frustrated with how they shoved so many action scenes into the first several episodes but then the last lets say 1/3 of the drama where they hinted at action, could have had action and should have had action.... there was no action at all.

A below average drama with a good cast to prop it up.
