I think its not about the pacing of the drama itself but the fact that the drama is already well over half aired, but there werent real plot movements regards Who really rules the world. Our ML has so many goals but his main biggest goal isnt moving anywhere and I think thats why people here are whining, we feel like even if it would happen, it would be too rushed towards the end and be half baked. Its a wuxia drama which is a bit too dragged over some trivial stuff like palace misunderstandings and random romantic dates of our leads. it loses its wuxia element.
One word: disappointment. They took one drama that I initially rated 9 for the first 20 episodes and made it a 7-7.5 worth of drama, what a disgrace that ending was... if y’all consider it a happy ending then why am I not happy at all?or nor any of you?
I’m going to be honest, the brain tricks were good throughout all the drama and it really stood strong for a while, I genuinely liked the drama at the beginning but suddenly all went downhill even the chemistry between the leads :(
I heard they were rushed to end the filming or something due to the spark of Covid back in 2020. So eventually I gave it a 8 considering how good the start was.
Guys, for real, only two or three episodes had less of our female lead. Even the male lead isn't on screen all…
I think since it’s airing and we need to wait a few days in between, it feels a bit unsatisfactory...however if someone would binge watch those episodes it would be okay for him

The way he acts towards his servants and innocent people who saw his sickness is very evil, he was about to kill a noble lady ( BFX) for helping him! It’s all good when he’s on team of our ML but he’s that kind of character that turns REALLY bad when the ML fails them somehow... the third prince Ju is wicked but he has more empathy ( atleast for the girl servants)
I love this drama so much that I want to put it in my pocket and carry with me everywhere... I can already feel myself heartbroken when this drama will end :(

And p.s I interpreted the title- who rules the world not as a fight for the throne but rather who rules the world..BFX or HFX. Or even as who rules the world the humans or the martial world and their random sects and this mysterious soultaker group

I can like it if it’s with some ideology behind like Joy of life and NIF which have this revenge kind of plot, but here it’s just some old queen doing petty tricks for her son to be on the throne and that’s it.... I wish they can get out of the palace and capital city and go on ACTUAL adventure showcasing their wuxia powers

Look I like power struggle plots if it’s for revenge or something like Nirvana in Fire, but as of right now there is nothing big going on except this evil queen that wants to put her son to the throne and her petty tricks...which is a bit too banal if u watched many cdramas it gets old,..and they hyperfocus on it... I guess it’s fine since the drama is 40 eps long but I just hope they will end this arc and start the real interesting stuff like the fights between the 6 nations and this souleater or however they are called are so we can see real wuxia
