Its alright,nothing special

It was alright but a little slow. Im used to wuxia dramas with alot of martial arts and sword fighting and stuff so this ones a bit slow but I love Liu Yuning so ill watch the whole thing. The beggining and the ending episodes were great but the middle episodes were pretty slow. Also not to be mean but the female lead,while her acting is fine, her voice is so annoying, she talks like a baby and is so quiet even when shes mad and stuff its unrealistic,i wish she would talk in a normal voice not that baby voice. I personally would not add to me rewatch list,but hey i guess everything cant be a masterpiece. I give it a 7 out of 10 and thats a bit generous.

Really enjoying it

I get what people are saying about her baby voice,i also hate it but i just look past it. The visuals are amazing its like a feast for the eyes 🥰🥰 the funny thing is there are so few shows that i have found so visually appealing and one of them was MJTY which also has esther yu 🤣 she wasnt as bad on there though because she plays an assasin. Anyway the male lead is so perfect for this drama like his sharp jawline and perfect hair makes every scene so beautiful. Her outfits are so freaking gorgeous and even though its so unrealistic that she can have a new outfit everyday and look so perfect i just love how they dress her up in the show shes literally gorgeous. I love his bad boy persona too im just wondering why hes not fighting anymore? They only show him racing lol but anyway i hope the show isnt like the novel PLEASE FOR GOODNESS SAKE 😭😭😭 i rate it a 9 for now because unlike most modern cdramas i havent had to fast forward AT ALL like every scene is watchable and not boring. Yes they made her too unbelievable learning how to drift and drive so easily but its whatever they always do that for the leads. Like the male lead is a fighter,a racer,gorgeous, a genius and also not a playboy....come on....🤣 but for the visuals and how they didnt make us wait 25 episodes for the romance im keeping my review at a 9. I'll update it when i finish it if it doesnt deserve that rating anymore.

From bad, to interesting, to horrible

This show started off lame, but I kept going because I quite liked the male lead. the misunderstandings from the get-go were extremely annoying. The ML could have communicated better to the female lead, but he chose to be hated for no reason instead, finally about halfway through the series, the misunderstandings got cleared up. Yet they still showed us no love scenes between the leads and suddenly the female lead was pregnant, I didn't even know they had gotten back together. I read that he doesn't do any intimate scenes because he's married in real life. And while I do respect that he should be playing in other Category dramas if that is the case. it got interesting toward the middle of the show but then it slowly went downhill. It was extremely rushed towards the end and nothing made sense. I thought they were going to bring the sister back to life But apparently they did not, and not only did the guy die at the end, but the girl died too. And that is acceptable on a show that was extremely well written, for instance, "a journey to love" But on this show, JUST NO. They had so many chances to kill the bad lady but they did not ...nothing made sense towards the end of the show. It was just a dumpster fire, and the fact that they killed off her friend as well at the end for no reason was just ridiculous. The only good thing was that they made the female lead prego so at least she had a child with a man that she loved and they left him in the world but other than that, it was just a ridiculous ending, and all of the magical aspects of the show were just ridiculous, and made no sense. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Great but too many flashbacks

I like that this drama showed that life isnt a fairytale,but they did get their happily ever after. But for me the male actor carried the show, female was beautiful but was very cringe and awkward to watch on some scenes but it could have been the writers vision and he told her to act like that idk. Another negative besides the cringe moments from the FL is how many FLASHBACKS they put in the show. I swear 40% of the show is flashbacks. They even do a flashback of something that just happened in that very episode...like its not like we forgot what happened 15 minutes ago writers... if you add all the flashbacks it would equal atleast 8 episodes 🤣. I know a lot of shows do the flashback thing but this show is way too excessive in that aspect. Also did anyone actually care about the grandpa sideplot? Because i found it boring and fast forwarded and it seems most other people did the same. Not sure why the writers felt the need to add that in and it really took up a lot of scenes too so its not like it was a small side plot. Anyway ive already rewatched 3 times and i dont really re-watch shows,i did fast forward all the flashbacks and grandpa scenes though 🤣 This show did make me cry of happiness and fullfilled what a love story should really be like though i will give it that! Now if only real life could be like the way he loved her :(

Drawn out storyline

I just watched this in 2026 and to be honest, I'm not really sure where all the rave reviews came from. The story was okay. But this really could've been done in 30 episodes or to be honest, even 20. For me, there were way too many side stories like all the scenes with her roommates lives,and the parents lives and just everyone's lives like we watch these shows for the leads and usually the second leads, but they were just way too many stories going on here.I fast-forwarded.I can't tell you how much. For me there was not enough romantic scenes between the leads when they finally got together. There were like 2 kisses and they werent even like passionate kisses or anything. I kept waiting and waiting for them to reallly seal the deal but they never did. And she really just agreed to date him so easily like i didnt see enough convincing and coaxing etc she just kinda accepted it when she had never thought of him like that before? Kinda weird. And they REALLY didn't need to add the story line about the second brother falling for her as well.That was really ridiculous and like how do you even go back to being brother and sister after you admitted that you liked her as a woman and wanted to marry her , etc , that's just freaking weird...anyway it was just okay but way too drawn out. Wouldnt bother with a rewatch and wish i could have my 40 hours back 🤣

HATED IT

I went into this not knowing that there were 2 seasons actually, so I thought there were just 10 episodes. The female lead held on to her pride and ego and was cold towards the male lead the entire time until about 15 minutes before the very last episode ended and then she ran away with him from her engagement to another dude.So she decided that she wanted to be with the male lead only to literally leave him waiting for her at a port that she had promised to meet him at after she said a final goodbye to her dad. I've never hated a female lead as much as this .... She was so infuriating! No matter how many times he told her how much he loved her and literally, he said, "I'll be your servant, you have my heart and soul etc", that still wasn't enough to convince her that he really loved her, she literally had no reason to believe that he was fooling around with her, he was always so sincere anyway. It's not even worth watching the second season because of how infuriating she is, and I just am so heartbroken for the male lead like he thought he was finally going to have a future with her, but she turned around and went back to the other guy, I understand that she didn't want to leave her, dad behind but she could've sent for her dad later. It's not like she would've never seen her dad again. That was not a valid enough reason. shes literally such a horrible character, and whoever the writer is honestly the worst writer I've ever seen, and I've watched hundreds of K-dramas, and hundreds of Chinese dramas, I've never seen anything like this show. I don't understand why everybody loved it. Also its freaking sad because their servants were in love too and now they just dont get to be together because of her idiocy??!! And whats with his singer friend who freaking never wanted them to be together since the beginning? Is he freaking secretly in love with the ML or what cuz he was jealous ever since the FIRST time he saw her with the ML and he even gave the ML a dagger that said my beloved or something,that was the dagger he later gave to FL am i right? What a creep...being in love with your super good friend??!! The the FL was in love with her BEST FRIENDS MAN for pretty much all 10 epiosdes!!! Are you kidding me??!! To be honest idk why ML would want her when he knew she was a skank,he saw her trying to steal her best friends dude and just kept chasing her anyway.... Dude if youre in love with your best friends dude and actively try to trick him into kissing you and falling for him etc then you are a horrible human being. Why is no one writing about this in the reviews??!! She had been dreaming about ML for so long but his face was always blurry so she didnt know who it was and when she found out it was ML you would think it would be the turning point like youre litterally dreaming of your soulmate and you found out its the guy chasing you but yet you still dont forget about your BFFs dude??!! WHO WROTE THISSSSS...if you hate misunderstandings,pride,ego,never saying what you really feel,pushing people away even though you are falling for them etc FOR HEAVENS SAKE AVOID THIS SHOW AT ALL COSTS!! Who would want to watch a second season of this chick??!!! horrible, even for a mini drama

man this show was just horrendous...The first, maybe 7 episodes were okay, intriguing even, but they really drug out the divorce thing until even the last episode...she made no sense why she wanted to divorce him when they were so in love. like nothing about the show made sense. I watch these mini dramas where a lot of stuff doesnt make sense but this was too much. it was just horrible writing. its something that honestly never should have been released. someone should have laughed at the script and ripped it up. and the fact he was forcing her to make out and stuff when he knew she was married(although he didn't know she wasn't really married to that guy) but he THOUGHT she was and he kept saying "I know u like me so just divorce him and choose me". YUCK so hes a cheater. guys never get with someone like that it just shows they will cheat on you too. I know its just a show but I dont watch cheating stuff because its just too wrong and disgusting. anyway even putting that aside it was just a joke of a show. I had to fast forward so many parts that were just way too cringe.total waste of my night.

Best kdrama ive seen in a long time

So I honestly have not seen a good k drama in a while. I saw that this one came out a couple years back and the trailer looked interesting so I gave it a shot, and I'm so glad that I did, I binged the whole show in 3 days. I was hooked from the first episode. The storyline and the plot were amazing. I loved how you never really knew if the suspect was who you suspected or not. And I'm glad it turned out to be someone that we really did not expect in the end. I was so happy to see that they changed the future. And I just really thought that was so beautiful. I would definitely rewatch again. The only thing I didn't like about the show and why I took one star off was because the male lead just seemed way too old for the part he was supposed to be early 30s, I believe, and he looked like he was 40 or mid, 40s almost, and I guess I'm really used to dramas where there's a huge height difference, and the fact that they were the same height and he was old was just really not up my alley.. like I kept wishing he was younger and taller because I could not see them in a romantic way because he seemed to be 15 or 20 years older than her and it was just weird, but I also didn't like the fact that there was not even one single kiss in the whole show. I'm all for slow burn, but there should at least be one kiss in the show. So I also didn't like that , and another thing that was kind of annoying was when they were trying to convince the grandpa and the cop that they were from the future , why didn't they just show their cell phones and the laptop that he had brought in the beginning like that literally made no sense....🤣 but other than those 2 things it was the perfect show!

Amazing

I really loved this show. I've actually watched 2 times in a short period of time. The first few episodes were extremely cringe worthy with Lusi trying to act like a teenager. But actually the way that she was acting seemed more like a fifth grader or something. It was just really weird, but once you get to episode 8, where she's in college, it starts getting more. Interesting and less cringy and then it becomes a beautiful love story. Her voice in this show is reallt babyish and annoying though i will say that. Ive watched her in many other shows and i dont remember her talking like that.

Didnt like female lead

This show was great and the story line was great but the female lead was such a MISS. She was supposedly replacing the identity of a girl who was around 18 years old or so and yet somehow no one noticed she looked like she was in her THIRTIES??? how is that even possible? I watched for Wang Xing Yue and hes the only reason i kept watching. All of his scenes were captivating and although hes not strikingly handsome, the way he talks and his facial expressions give him a 10/10 his acting was off the charts! When he would say her name it was breathtaking! But she was just not a good fit for this role especially since they were trying to say she was so gorgeous even more beautiful than her younger sister who actually WAS gorgeous. Idk if the director was blind or what but nothing about her casting made sense. They needed to have chosen a 10 year younger actress to play this role. This and maybe one other drama ive watched have me so puzzled about why they chose the lead. Typically the casting is perfect on these dramas so i dont know where this went wrong. That was my main complaint about this show.

Good but not good enough

I watched for xu kai. He played this character so well and was so handsome but the female lead who plays a dude is like half the size of everyone else in the military and supposedly no one notices its a girl??? Come on man 🤣 also they had many useless side stories in this show and every other scene was filled with japanese dressed in all black getting shot. I mean is there just an unlimited amount of them in the area? And somehow even though they always get killed,the next time they dont send more to make sure they win the fight they still just send a handful of them 🤣 and having everyone fall in love with the female lead is so unrealistic,to be honest she looked better as a dude yet they had like 4 guys fall in love with her 🤣🤣🤣 HAHAHA anyway i really loved xu kai in this and the supporting male lead was cool too but if i ever hear this chick say "may-sure" one more time in that voice i will self destruct 🤣🤣

Beyond boring

This show is beyond boring. Female lead looks like shes 13 years older than male lead and has no chemistry with him at all. male lead is carying the whole show, side plots are boring so I'm fast forwarding 50%, of each episode. The FL starts off alright but gets boring after like 8 episodes always having the same shocked, confused look on her face in every scene, and never admitting her feelings, she acts like ML is her brother and its so wrong to be with him. It's not that deep. I literally frown evey time she comes on Screen now because she always acts the same in every scene and i can't stand it. I just want to see my man happy when she finally agrees to be with him but once that happens I'm dropping. Not to mention the brother of the FL has the same problem as her about loving someone but not admitting it and torturing himself not allowing himself to be with her...
