I though that there would have been some kind of a misunderstanding but nope. It's a cheating alright, and…
Lol, I'm glad it got through to you ^^ Yeah it's really a shame that there are so many double standards like that around men and women in general. I get feminism and all, but a lot of time we don't think about the men's positions too. :\
But I also think that's kind of what this drama points out? because it goes against the typical idea of affairs--it seems more likely for a man to cheat, but it's the wife--and we can see the husband's reactions, which are much different than a woman who's been cheated on, most likely due to those double standards. (doesn't want to tell anybody, feeling pathetic etc.)
Anyhow, glad to have discussed w/ you lol~
late but that's not a drama lol

I think that if a drama created a male character like her that regretted his decisions just the same, I could pity him equally. Characters like Yoon Gi are unforgivable, but if there was a male Soo Yeon with his world crumbling down around him and expressing as much regret as she did, plus he had a wife similar to Hyun Woo, I think I would feel the same towards him as I do towards Soo Yeon. Granted I'm super impartial to everything so it may be my personality.
I think I get what you mean though? I (and most people) have been raised with double standards, therefore a man cheating seems less forgivable.
(Unless you're thinking the exact opposite and men cheating is more so? lol I'm not sure ;;)

I personally find it possible to sympathize w/ the wife. Because people make bad decisions in life, and her husband, though he did nothing quite as bad as she did, clearly has his own flaws. While she made an awful decision, she clearly regrets it. I don't agree w/ her but I somewhat pity her.
but lol that's just me I guess. I like the realism too so there's that
