I see the trend of male leads moving towards more real, tangible characters. Less of a mean, jerk caricature and not a second lead-type overly perfect lead either. (The second leads are changing too! They're becoming more than perfect, useless puppies and actually developing personalities and flaws!) It's interesting to see the writers step up their games every year with more and more different character types for male leads. Some become really interesting and complex while others remain pretty one dimensional or ridiculous lol.

(now if only they could find a nice balance for female leads....)

recently though, I watched What Happened In Bali, and it was really interesting to see Jo In Sung's jerk male lead character being MORE than just a jerk male lead (internally, with his struggles and all lol). A curious occurrence for an older drama like that!

My favorite Korean song at the moment is Jung Dong Ha's cover of My Love By My Side! <3

How can you forget Sung Dong Il and Kim Byung Ok? Lol those guys are just... inescapable.

Whoa! Loved this drama to bits. It had it's poorly done moments, but as a whole a very interesting and unusual show. You'd never see anything like this on SBS today!

Kang Ki Doong was literally the most likable character in TMW
and as for Introverted Boss, I wouldn't call that a good bromance at all since Woo Il is inconsistently wavering between good friend and manipulative jerk face :)

He's a great villain though. Really, he pulls off the childishly awful person character very well ^^ You won't like him at all as a character though lol

looks old lol. at least 5 years ago maybe? then again, it also looks extremely edited bc he didn't look like that even in old immortal songs episodes :P

he's so adorable in Tomorrow With You ! <3 my fave character in the drama~ also hoping to see him around dramaland more frequently!

I also liked FBRS as awful as it is (and I haven't seen the others, but I bet you're gonna get a bunch of hate on Healer being mention lolol). Plus, Lee Ki Woo was super cute in FBRS and it's just ridiculous enough to be cute lol

it's ridiculous tho because they didn't even end up together lol idk why they would even make her a character bc she was even more pointless than male second leads in typical dramas. and yes, the story was just a complete mess lol. I don't even know what they were doing while writing this drama .-.

are you referring to quack? being an otp not meant to happen? idek why she was in the drama tbvh. she served little to no purpose from what I remember and she was pretty obnoxious imo, hence my dislike for her and her ship w/ hoon
not that I (personally) cared much for the actual female lead either--she was poorly written and I had no clue who her character even was supposed to be throughout the drama
