They suggested searching for the episode via a private tab, without being logged in and then copying the link into the tab where you are logged in via VPN (i think, my French is a bit rusty lol). But i have now tried that and it doesnt work either, even with VPN it says that the series isnt available in my area :(

As a queer person it doesnt feel dated to me. Some of our stories are that way. Not everyone is lucky enough to be with who they love. I am glad that there are many happy queer love stories nowadays but this story deeply moved me and i think it's important to not forget about those who can't have their happy ending.

They did zero research on BDSM and hired the most aggressively heterosexual people to create and for what..... what wasted potential!

Oh, I see, thanks for elaborating! It's still very disappointing. I know not all BL actors support our community but it's still...ugh. like you said, he views our love stories as being somewhat "less" than straight stories.

I just read through your comment before watching and yikes. I am going to finish the series, but that really soured it for me. Why does he have to be such an arse?

I am sorry, I expressed myself badly, I realise. I didn't mean they shouldn't have been together, what I meant was what narrative wise, Bas' abuse was not given any room after this, actually much like in TharnType.

I can deal with magical healing d*** when it's a show like TharnType that doesn't actual claim to want to address sa in a meaningful way. This series however did, and it's... ugh.

So, compared to Thai BL, Japanese BL series are few in number, but they are really high quality (unlike this movie).
Japanese BL I have enjoyed are:

1. Life Senjou no Bokura
2. HIS (the series and evermoreso the movie sequel)
3. Absolute BL (I think that's the English title): this one is more of a parody, deconstructing all the usual BL tropes. And it's so, so good.
4. Mood Indigo and its sequel Pornographer (these are both more mature than the usual cutesy BL)
5. Given: currently airing and based on one of my favourite BL manga ever (it deals with some dark themes though)

Yeah, it's getting real old....

He is quite bad at expressing any intense emotion. He is doing ok in scenes where the character's mood is just whatever, but his facial expressions in the scenes where he is trying to be angry or sad or any variation thereof.... ugh.
