Yess I feel like both of them have great chemistry with co stars so their pair should be fabulous. I got to wait till next year though. I saw some insta reels of Shadow love too and looks good. I might try it but first I think I might watch moonlit reunion

I share the same opinion. The world building in a drama can never be as good as the book. Especially with the censorship and episode limit. I always treat webtoons and their kdramas separately too for the same reason.

So ep 9 shows the duality of her character very well. She is cutesy when it comes to Xiao Jue especially but she kicks serious ass when she fights like ep 9 and ep 12. But yes if you do not enjoy it till then I would say yes drop it.

Yes this is the same feedback I got too but People were divided on the plots that got adapted. For example some people thoroughly enjoyed the battle and romance adaptations. Especially Jiyang which I hear is exactly like the novel and Rundu too. But others were not. So split opinions

I feel like people in the comments section saying the rating is too high are being extremely unfair. If its high and has so much viewership then clearly there is a section of people who are enjoying this drama. Like for me it had all the elements I love : amazing romance, great humor, well written characters, great battle scenes. There are alot of high rated dramas that I have found extremely mid or not liked at all but I did not question their rating. I accepted its not for me but alot of people must like it. Its okay. Tastes differ. Its okay to share opinions but outright saying that people rating it highly are wrong - yeah its unfair and not okay.

So I repeat, I LOVED THE SHOW. ITS FABULOUS FOR ME AND CLEARLY FOR ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE TOO.

Honestly you should atleast try the first 13 episodes. Ep9 is one of the best in the entire show amd the fight in ep 12 is fabulous. You also see the chemistry build up. Slowburn shows take time to come into their own and I would say 6/36 is too little time for some shows to grow.


Also to give you context the other two shows I enjoyed as much as this are Coroner's Diary and The Legend of Zang Hai.

I think its unfair that so many people are so worried about the rating of the drama. If its highly rated there is clearly a section of people enjoying it. I have watched many high rated dramas that I did not enjoy but I did not go around questioning its rating. Some people enjoyed it and tastes can differe so its okay

So I have not read the novel. But this is what some people who read the novel told me on Reddit. As far as how close to novel it is, there are varied opinioms, some say it is pretty close others don't like the plots they removed in the show. So I would say different people different opinions

Again that is your opinion. But Mine is different and will continue being different. I enjoyed the LOTFG alot and yes for me POB is good but LOTFG is better based on what I like in a drama. I found Cheng Lei more commanding and believable as a general and I really enjoyed how Zhou Ye portrayed He Yan. The romance for me is also alot better in LOTFG. For me chemistry is not about kisses or sex, its about lingering glances, flirtatiom, shy smiles which are plenty in LOTFG.

She fits the novel description though. In the novel He Yan is extremely small and frail
