I just want new love interest for hyunwoo. It will make things 100% interesting and also helps haein to snap out…
If Haein was selfish and and only cared about herself, she would've agreed to annul the divorce and gotten back together with Hyunwoo. But because her character is selfless and cares about others more than herself, she made the ultimate sacrifice by letting Hyunwoo go to save him from the pain of losing her and in turn letting go of her greatest desire and reason to live which is to be by his side. Of course she knows that he loves her. It's why she understands how devastating and painful it would be for him to watch her slowly slip away from him both mentally and physically. She wants his last memories of her to be happy ones rather than ones filled with pain that could haunt him for the rest of his life. In her final moments she is once again trying to protect him. Haein has already confessed her honest feelings to Hyunwoo and revealed her love for him and just how much he means to her. There is nothing else she needs to prove. It is Hyunwoo who has yet to take the step to tell Haein his truest feelings. So far silence has been his response to Haein's requests, so you can't blame her for doing what she's doing to spare him from the pain. It is Hyunwoo who needs to step up and tell Haein that he doesn't care what happens to her as long as he is by her side.

She could've, but what would the point be if he wasn't even sane to remember or comprehend her words. As far as the family knows Grandpa is out of his mind and is not even conscious. Which is why she left the pen for him just in case. Even then, compared to her words that they would rescue him, leaving the pen is a greater reassurance that they are trying to come up with a plan. But Grandpa is a desperate man consumed with guilt. Death is his greatest escape and repentance towards his family.

The plan was to find the money because once they find the money, they'll have the leverage to take both the company back as well as save Grandpa since in their current position they are unable to do that. Remember Grandpa is still under Sulhee's authority so even if they were to hire thugs she could've reported them for kidnapping even if they are his family.

Someone said for the preview "That Truck Scene in Europe was a flashback in Germany when Hae In was pregnant.…
Although it's a good theory, I don't think it makes sense considering Haein said that the first and final trip they had taken was their honeymoon in Germany. :/

Was the sacrifice of Grandpa even necessary?? I dont think so. I mean, there were plenty of other ways to reclaim…
The main problem is the poor timing unfortunately. What you said makes sense and is the logical route, but we can't forget how difficult it is for Grandpa to make contact with anyone. Right now he is useless and is not sane for half the time. He feels guilty for causing this tragedy to befall on his family and is a huge burden right now because of his circumstances. Grandpa does not know what the family is planning, all he knew was that they are helpless and Moh Sulhee has all the power. So he believes that his death will at least take away Sulhee's power and give his family a fighting chance.

As we can see, the Hongs and Hyunwoo did devise a plan to try and get to Grandpa, but because of the poor timing, they were one step too late and were unable to get to him before he made his sacrifice. The Hong's influence and money are also still limited, so hiring thugs wouldn't be as easy for them as it would have been in the past before Sulhee took over.

Wouldn't it make sense if she did die though? nobody likes a sad ending but sometimes a sad ending is more necessary.
I'm a fan of tragedies. I think if done right, they are much more meaningful and have a lasting impact. For Queen of Tears, I desperately want a happy ending because of how much Hyunwoo and Haein have suffered. However, I don't want that at the expense of poor writing that is either too farfetched or stupid. So even if it does end with a sad ending, I would not mind as it would just as of an end to the drama. The foreshadowing is there, and would play well into the story as from what we've seen, this is a story about love, family, healing. Haein's illness has been the catalyst for all of the mending and rebuilding of the relationships in her life. We've seen everyone's reaction to her illness and how it had brought them all closer together. Haein dying although would be devastating, but it would still be beautiful knowing that she had passed knowing that she was loved and that her loved ones are happy and will be able to live on without her. Hyunwoo and Haein's miraculous love although did not cure her, but it did however, mend the rift in their marriage, healed the Hong family, and brought the Baeks and Hongs together.

The sad ending that I don't want to happen though is the one where Hyunwoo dies especially if it was to save Haein. We've clearly seen how important Hyunwoo is to Haein. He's the reason for her to want to continue living and is basically her whole world. His death would be too cruel for her as I don't believe that Haein's will to live will cease to exist if Hyunwoo is gone. Not to mention the crucial fact that her whole life she has blamed herself for the death of her brother and child, now adding on to that the guilt of causing her husband to die will be absolutely devastating for her. Therefore, I hope that this won't be the route the writer takes just for shock value and the "plot twist."

I hope this isn't foreshadowing their end. I don't care even if it is a last minute happy ending.Maybe she will…
Hoping for a happy ending for everyone. Don’t care what happens to Eunseong or his mom but I hope nobody dies.

Haein saying when Hyunwoo dies she'll be the angel to pick him up. Ep 1 literally starting with Haein landing in a beautiful field in Yongduri to pick Hyunwoo up and Hyunwoo describing her as an angel in that moment... I'm like 70% sure it's gonna be a happy/bittersweet ending but I need Saturday to come faster so I don't keep thinking of these depressing thoughts!!

It pains me knowing how much she loves him but he doesn't feel it because it's not in the way that he understands. I'm so glad they're showing Hyunwoo start to love her in the way that Haein has been loving him this whole time. Being patient with her and waiting for her, silently protecting her. Gosh I love them so much. I'm glad that you were able to come to and understand her, our girl is so misunderstood.

Omg this is exactly me too! LOL Let me tell you I was stressed for ep 10. There were like 12 minutes left and I was so scared they're gonna leave us with a giant cliffhanger cause so much was happening. But then they somehow managed to fit everything within those minutes and the build up was amazing. Ep 10 really went by so fast I couldn't get enough.

Agree with you completely! I adore everything about this drama from all the things you had listed. It's giving us everything that makes a good drama. I know many complain about the long episodes and the large ensemble of characters but I can't seem to get enough of it. The episodes are going by so fast despite their long run time and I'm constantly checking the time because I don't want it to end lol. Although there are times where I also do wish that we could get less screentime for the side characters and more for our main couple especially Haein. I feel like there still so much of her character and their relationship to explore! As the FL, I really wish we could see more of Haein's perspective in the remaining episodes. As for the OST it's absolutely flawless. The last time I've felt this way about a kdrama's OST and love every single track was 2521. Every song in QOT really is amazing and tugs at your heartstrings in every scene they're played in. The chemistry between all the characters is also so refreshing to see no matter what their dynamic is. It's rare to find a drama where everyone has so much chemistry with each other. So happy we're getting 2 extra episodes because I'm not ready to let them go.

Love how they're developing BaekHong's relationship. I just love the character of Hong Haein, she is flawed in so many ways but it's those flaws that make me love her even more. Remember hearing Soohyun say that that is also how Hyunwoo had fallen for Haein. That Hyunwoo sees Haein's flaws as her strengths as well and what people would deem as her unlikable qualities, it was those qualities that had made him fall for her.

Can a person's love be so pure and unconditional as Haein's love for Hyunwoo? From protecting him behind his back to now standing in front of the whole world declaring her biggest weakness and secret in order to protect him and in turn also giving up on her biggest dream that she had worked her whole life for. Hyunwoo who now recognizes her love for him and rediscovering how much he's still in love with her is going through all different sorts of attacks and humiliation in order to save her and her family. Him continuing to love and support her despite her constant reminders of their divorce because he now knows that she is doing it out of care and love for him. Hyunwoo who was afraid of what the Hongs would do to him if he divorced Haein is now selflessly and fearlessly going through that very thing under Eunseong's attacks in order to protect Haein. I love this couple so much despite their flaws. It's so clear that they love each other, and it's very much obvious to those around them as well. So glad that they're finally starting to communicate better and we'll finally get them on the same page and rekindle their love again.

Honestly there could be a possibility where Haein never submitted those documents because she knows she’ll die…
Hoping this is true! It would also make sense why Hyunwoo was seen wearing his ring again in one of the previews.

When did Haein confessed without Hyunwoo knowing?
Yeah you’re right. And also in her situation she’s also said a bunch of hurtful things to him so before she dies she probably wants to reaffirm to him that she does still love him as well.

I’m a sucker for tragedy and tragic endings, but in this case I’m praying for a happy ending for them as well!

Honestly there could be a possibility where Haein never submitted those documents because she knows she’ll die eventually, so her not finalizing the divorce is could serve as her last act to leave everything she has to Hyunwoo after she passes because he would still be her husband.

When did Haein confessed without Hyunwoo knowing?
Ahh, I meant as in she wasn’t aware that she has already told him she loves him. Hence why in the next episode preview she said she hasn’t told him yet. Also because she told him that during her episode and back in Germany there was probably still some doubt in his mind if she still loves him because she still was talking about the divorce. Although I’m sure that he’s aware of how much she loves him now based on how she revealed her one biggest secret and weakness to the world in order to protect him along with worrying and caring for him throughout the episode.

When did Haein confessed without Hyunwoo knowing?
End of ep 7 when she momentarily lost her memories of Germany. Also during the scene in Germany when they were eating and she indirectly told him she’s the one who loves him the most because she’ll be the angel who picks him up when he dies.

Agree with you wholeheartedly on this, Up until this point, the majority of the focus/pov has been about Hyunwoo…
Yes it’s always like this! They ask for complex female characters but when they are given one, they fail to understand the complexity of such a character. There’s no winning. I love Haein’s character because she doesn’t take crap from anyone. She stands up for herself and for Hyunwoo even if it’s unbeknownst to him. She may appear cold but judging from those closest to her like Hyunwoo and Secretary Na, she’s a good person deep down. And these two have decided to stick by her and remain loyal to her because they are the two who spend the most time with her and know what type of person she truly is behind her armor and the walls she’s built up.

She lives in a world where everything is calculated and it’s important not to let your weaknesses show as it could be used against you. But when we see her in Yongduri, her demeanor is completely different since she’s able to let her guard down around Hyunwoo’s family because they don’t expect anything from her. That’s how much trust she has in Hyunwoo as well as his family. And because of this, we see Hyunwoo’s mom also care and love her as if she were her own daughter. I’m loving the recent episodes despite her lack of screentime because we’re able to see small little moments of Haein finally receiving the love and care she’s been lacking her whole life.

Love the little tidbit of what you said lol. Yes it’s time we get herstory!

The bar is in hell at this point! Seriously how could people be supporting this?? All the while Hyunwoo has been…
There shouldn’t even be a comparison or any competition between the two because the answer is obviously and will always be Hyunwoo no matter which universe or timeline. He’s not only the far better and should be the only choice, he’s also the one and only person Haein has and will ever love. It’s absurd that Eunseong is being praised as if bro did not just turn her life upside down.

Dude you said everything that I want to say! I absolutely love Haein’s character, and even with what we have now she is already one of my top three favorite kdrama FLs, so I’m literally dying to see more of her. There are so many awesome female characters in kdramaland that often show great potential but are then diminished in order to further the male lead’s character arc or the plot line. I really hope that is not the case here since the writer had done a good job in equally fleshing out both her leads in CLOY. Completely agree with you on how frustrating it is to be praying each episode for her screen time when she’s literally one of the main leads! Kim Ji Won is one of my fav actresses and I’m so happy she’s the one who got this role. For both Haein and Hyunwoo’s characters, it takes a certain type of quality acting to properly convey the nuances of each of their characters because they are both flawed. It’s difficult to do this without making the characters hateable and both KJW and KSH have done such justice to their roles that I am able to sympathize and understand both characters’ perspectives. As a woman and eldest daughter myself, KJW just portrays Haein so well that I am also able to empathize with her and I seriously need to see all that this character has to offer. Really hoping the writer won’t let us down!
