Listen....JoongDunk ate in The Heart Killers. In Dare You to Death thoughβ¦so far not landing. Dunkβs stiff…
I get what you mean. I loved their acting as FadelStyle right from the start but until now (ep 2) I didn't get warm with them. But I think it's not a problem of acting and more a problem of writing or perhaps directing. The characters are too 2D-like. Perhaps I need more background story. And sometimes I feel like they're already too close for a boss and his co worker who just have met π€·π»ββοΈ I feel a little sorry for JoongDunk because it's not their fault.
I don't understand Tawan.... Why can't he understand that Peach is just a brother figure for Aran.Although I love…
Yeah, he needs to get that his behaviour isn't right and pushes Aran farer away than gets him back. I agree that he should get some sort of penalty and change before getting back together and there are only 2 ep left... actually sequel for TawanAran would be great because i have the feeling we didn't get much Information about their past relationship yet
I like how this series manages to balance the comedy and some serious themes. One minute I'm giggling like a fool and the next minute I fear that someone will ger hurt because of the mafia background π
I loved the conversation between Plub and Thee and how they build a dreamteam now π₯°
But I fear that next episode will be the cursed episode. Was it Thees father who texted Mok? And what has happened to Tawan? Even if he is a red flag, I'm till rooting for PerthSanta π π And this Shohei guy won't give up so easily π
Only 2 episodes left and I have the feeling the series has just started...
Okay so Iβm literally LOSING IT over this BL right now.Like Iβm laughing one second and then suddenly my eyes…
I also love the part where Peach told Thee about his ex and that they talk in general about their feelings! Finally we get some maturity in BL and not the repetetive communication problems.
I'm not a big fan of comedys and not at all at "cringe comedy" but Me and Thee manages to find the right balance of cringeness and fun π i really love this series!
Ep. 7 was the best for me (so far)! I like to see the progression during the series. The first episodes were very funny and dorky and in the last episodes we get some background storys and beside enough funny moments there is also a part when the truth of real life kicks in and that nothing is pink and fluffy all the time. Todays episode was very emotional. I loved the part when Peach brought Thee to the orphanage. He laid his vulnerablity bare in front of Thee and Thee found the right words, some comfort and acknowledge of Peachs fight for a good future for him and his sister. Furthermore it felt like the first time where Thee could be a "child" again by playing there with the other children.
And the last scene was WOW! Not because it's a NC Scene but because you can see the progression in Ponds and Phuwins acting and their comfort towards each other π nobody can say anymore that Phuwin can't kiss! Their kisses in the darkroom and now in the bed were really hot π₯ and i loved the scene where Peach put his arms around Thees neck during kissing π₯° throughout the whole scene it felt genuine and the chemistry was overflowing π₯
And I like that they followed a nice buildup during the series and doesn't mix up too many plots at once. Now that we know something about both backgrounds, their feelings and the growth of their relationship we can focus on the mafia-part which seems to start right now.
And I'm curious if Perth will be the other model for Arseni in the spring collection because there wasn't enough PethSanta moments so far π
Episode 2 is here and now we have to wait for 2 long weeks π it feels like GMMTV hates us Dungjangs because last year we had the same 2 weeks of suffer with the heartkillers. But at least we didn't get such a Cliffhanger this time like it was in the heartkillers π
I really like the plot. It's very interesting and there is so much mystery right now so that i habe no idea who might be the killer. Is it really someone from the group of friends? And can you even call them friends? Their friend(s) died an noone sheds a single tear or seems to be sad? Even Jay (which i think isn't the killer because he is Jades brother) didn't seem sad the morning after Tars death. Okay he sad he was not very close to him but nontheless is was someone you know and hang out with...
Furthermore everyone in this group seems to have some shady background... Tar with his drug and rape theme, Champ and Chereen with their secret relationship, something is off with Tonkla who was there at the drink me bar. So i think we will get more hints about the shady background of all the other friends in the next episodes.
I ask my why the names Chereen and Bell were written on the Truth or Day Letter which was sent to Tar? π€
All in all I like this 2nd episode more than the first one. The first one wanted to much at once and felt hectic and a little bit off sometimes. The 2nd ep was better even if i still think that Jade and Kamin are too fast too close for people who have just met 2 or 3 days before... but well... actually i prefer that more than a slow burn but it was really fast, so that it doesn't feel very realisitcally for me unfortunately π nontheless i hope to see the kiss without a damn phone ringing next episode π
Merry Christmas to all the fans here π let us survive the next 2 weeks of waiting with rewatching some old JoongDunk series π
I think you can't compare DYTD with Manner of Death because DYTD has definitely romcom elements in it, so it's…
I agree that DYTD shouldn't be funny. It doesn't fit the theme in my opinion and it isn't as funny as THK for example. But i definitely see lots of chemistry between JoongDunk! It felt perhaps a little bit off because the first episode wanted too much: a hot introduction of the main characters, an interesting case to solve, some action, some sexual tension, funny elements and so on. That's why the first episode felt a little bit off for me. But it's more a matter of writing and editing than acting.
I just finished Manner of Death and in comparison this Dare you to Death is not it. I like Joong but the others…
I think you can't compare DYTD with Manner of Death because DYTD has definitely romcom elements in it, so it's a mix of genres. It has only the same theme : investigation of a murder. But the whole atmosphere is another. It's like comparing red with blue. Both are colors but are nontheless different.
I admit that i also needed some time to adjust to the atmosphere in dytd because the pilot teaser from last year was much darker (which i prefer) but gmmtv can't escape their love for romcoms π€·π»ββοΈ they've made the same with revamp π but i hope they won't ruin dytd in the same way.
If you have Netflix you can watch it there but you have to turn the language to English then you should be able…
Thank you so much!!! I was so angry because i only got the netflix account to watch this series and I'm in Germany and couldn't find it, but now after switching the language, it's finally here !!!! You are my hero <3
So I finished the series and I really liked this series! It might be not everyones taste because it isn't the cute and fluffy BL stuff many BL series rely on, so if you search for this or hot NC scene, this series is not right for you. But if you like some mystery and want to guess what comes next or what has happened, this is great.
I admit, the first episode was really confusing but when you get into the story, you start liking the concept of this series. And in the end it deals with a very important theme.
SPOILER! I think they've portraied dementia in a very unique way which I really like. Actually I was sure that Win was just a ghost in Alans imagination right from the start and after ep 5 I was pretty sure that Alan is the old man. So the reveal wasn't a big shock. But nontheless i liked how they managed to show us the world of people who has to suffer from dementia, what it might look like.
So I can't tell you if the ending is a sad or happy ending. My feelings are torn apart. On the one hand it's sad that he passed away, on the other hand a brightful afterlife waits for him and he seems so happy. This makes me think about the meaning of happiness and life. For somekind it seems to be tragic but there are always two sides of the medal. And sometimes it might be better to stay in your imagination because the truth hurts too much π but that's life!
Wow, I really like this series. The whole atmosphere is great, the music fits perfectly and I appreciate that this series is so different from all the other BLs I have seen! And I'm not biased but it doesn't bother me that Off is nude or only wears underwear in 99% of the time π€
I can't believe rating is still low ....Anyways here is my ""assumption"" :1. Win is alans imagination…
I totally agree with your first assumption that Win only exists in Alans imagination. But for the other parts I think that the old man isn't Alans former doctor but Alan himself and his "dad" is actually his son. And Si knows Alans as "old man" that's why she can't tell him that he is actually the old guy π€
Honestly, I was quite disappointed by the trailer; paradoxically, the unofficial one was much better, with a decidedly…
Yeah, i feel the same! It reminds me of Revamp. The pilot was so dark and full of mystery and at the end we ended up with a dorky vampire but why? Somehow i feel like Thai people or gmmtv only love comedy... i like funny moments too, but i prefer much mature/serious vibes. Joong also lost his sexy flirting skills and is now a cute flirter and Dunk also lost some of his coolness and the atmosphere seems not really dark anymore π such a pity
The old poster was so much better GMMTV don't waste the potential of a good screenwriting and acting with your…
I totally agree with you! Not only the old poster but also the old pilot film was better im my opinion. In the pilot there was more sexual tension between JoongDunk. In the new trailer Joongs flirting isn't sexy but cute and Dunks character also lost a bit of his coolness he has shown before. Also the trope between the "kids" seems somehow a little bit off. It reminds me a bit of Revamp. The pilot was dark and then the series was more about a dorky vampire. I don't get it why Thai people or GMMTV has to stick to the comedy Genre. It's not that i don't like funny moments but this series has so much more potential and i hope we get to see it!
Since I've watched the trailer i was really looking forward to this series and i'm not disappointed! The first episode was just WOW ππ» the atmosphere, the acting, the art-theme and especially the music are all great! I'm glad that beside all the fluffy stuff GMMTV also produces some mature series like this!
If anybody knows the song names which are played in the background, please let me now! The music is so well chosen! π
I feel a little sorry for JoongDunk because it's not their fault.
