Dropping it. I will consider that the movie has no sequel, a tragic ending is always better than a "tragic" sequel.
That's fair. The first two episodes are cringy, just in terms of the recap and Golf feeling like he was owed Bank's appreciations for being alive, and was gaslighting the heck out of Bank
I know you can't treat media as a look at ones culture, but this...like Bank didn't deserve this. That's when you cut all them a-holes loose. Forgive them yes, buy cut them out of your life
But that's it, i don't they really were queer. They just kinda ended up together. I've seen what you're talking about in other BL's SOTUS i feel is just put too high up on a pedestal.
I was hoping the show wouldn't go the direction its going currently. The homophobia, the attempted rape, toxic…
I was worried about that, as soon as I saw the first episode, i had a feeling this was an older BL. Like it's story was written before 2015, because the "I'm gay and proud; until my homophobic crush comes back then it's the closest for me" felt dated. And the females being these just lower than human villains. Like with My Gear and Your Gown
I'm so sad and angry, this is beyond concerning. Earth is an angel and he doesn't deserve this. I knew Mean is…
I feel the same as you. I had no idea until someone else told me about their behaviour and their treatment of Earth. It's very disheartening that people still do terrible things to people
Is it just me or does these writers just treat abuse victims poorly ,if I'm wrong i need to understand. Because I'm like the dad was a horrible character and I get guitar had to grow some, but it just like the abuse still was allowed even though he stood up to his dad, but everyone was like hey, Solo it's you to blame....i just find this stuff so triggering.
I agree with you 100%. A preference -- for whatever reason -- does not automatically translate into being phobic.
But you're positing a different argument altogether. You're talking about sexual attraction now. Side-steppong the fact that you said that you know people who refuse to sleep with a man who has been with men even if they date women. That is predjudice it's not a sexual preference. Because not being interested in somebody because of their sexuality vs. who they are (personality/physically), is diametrically opposed. That's what I'm saying that you seem to be missing. If Karleen just said hey I'm not interested in you that's fine, but to say I'm not interested because you're questioning or bi, is heavy handed and leaning on bi-phobia. Not saying she has to date her, but if she's rejecting her on her sexuality because she thinks she will loose her to the opposite gender is discriminatory

You're searching for an answer that i can't give you that is very obvious.
When pearl confessed Karleen immediately shut her down and even ghosted her for a time, i don't think you could've missed that.
Are you not reading what your typing that is bi-phobic indeed. A woman not sleeping with a man because he may have had sex with another man? Even if he might just be experimenting or bi, but the opposite sex refusing because of knowledge of their interaction with the same gender is bi-phobia and a narrow mind set to have
That's still somewhat biphobia, her experience of her partner leaving her for a man has caused her to exclude…
That's a very privileged view to take. If someone who identifies as straight then and the other person identifies as gay...that is not the same as someone who identifies under the lgbt umbrella expressing their feelings to another member of the community and being turned down, because they fear they will 'go straight'.
And look at you second to last paragraph you have excluded bisexuality as other. I don't think you did so intentionally. It's not about being open to dating bisexual folx it's about acknowledging bisexuality as a legit sexuality, and not a phase, which happened in the 80'-90's when gay and lesbians were discovering themselves and caused that bi-phobia. And thats what is happening in PND Karleen has an irrational fear founded one personal experience, that still is valid, but she has chosen to assume any bi-woman is not bi therefore denying Pearls sexuality which is different from your example cause two people if sexual identities of straight/gay don't usually date because they is no interest that would lead to an intimate relationship
