I will stand by what i typed but let me rephrase it, she could have done that when they got back, not just freak out like they had an orgy in the house. Also never said that all bl should be problem free, the issue i have is this is an old troupe that is used when people think their are being meaningful and deep. Killing off queer characters, it's so entrenched that people don't realise that it stems from homophobia, if you wish to use that to strengthen your point go for it, but then bringing redemption to characters who were the cause feels hollow. Not saying they should be punished outright, but it makes the deaths cheap, because then what they could've had the same redemption with the characters living. That's what I'm saying...the ending doesn't have to be 'happy' but death isn't the ultimate loss and i think that's what people don't get
My only criticism though was how the issue of Xu Yang’s bullying handled. I find it so ironic that Xu Yang gave…
My thoughts, but I suppose it was more of a "let's not kill of the gay character" which was a nice change considering they usually do it to make s point that could've been done without s death to begin with
i'm dropping this - tragic endings in lgbt media (especially in asian media) present the idea that being lgbt+…
Right it feels like they turned it into a redemption for the two problematic female characters. Sandee outing them and his mother just flipping out over nothing.
kind of over covid related shows at this point omg. But I'll still give it a shot. The trailer was insanely chaotic…
I mean we're still in a pandemic...so it's easier to do shows that revolves around it, instead of putting staff at risk pretending it doesn't. Just because you're over it, dosent mean it's over yet
I can see the appeal of this show and would never take it away from anyone, but it's shows like these that literally are just nothing and people act as if it were something amazing. It has its moments, but it's literally just a drawn out grocery add that is dragging into mediocre tedium. There are 5 episodes left, stars i hope it moves forward and picks up the pacing
Not a good first start, also I'm hella triggered so that effects how i feel about this first episode. Thai, after sometime, gives us another gay character who is denying his sexuality to impress is kinda crude crush. I'm not the target audience and i get this stuff if wish fulfilment/fluff. Still subjects like this could be handled better. It's still early, and I've been psyched, but from the early trailers it boils down to Chon and the Ex competing and that's just...lame
Let me see if I understand. So Tharn and Type have been together for 7 years yes? So Type isnt out at work...ok i mean that can be plausible, but a little unbelievable considering they're open and HAVE BEEN DATING FOR SEVEN YEARS!!! Also, so Type doesn't want to get married because he's worried about how Tharn's parents will be perceived??? Um what!? Their son is out and gay, they seen all his boyfriends, heck his ex still comes over for dinner, I'm pretty sure they don't care one bit about their son getting married, they probably actually want him to get married. So this premise is already shite...like internalised homophobia is a thing, but you think after seven years of being in a same gender loving relationship it would not be this bad, and from what I've seen thai bl righters defend these stupid plots as if it were something precious, cause it's already trite. Like if Tharns cousin was interested in Type because his boyfriend was newly out and wasn't affectionate and Type is the potential he could have and Tharn being pursued by someone would make more sense, but this plot that's going now is making me hesitate. First LBC2 and now this...i need a break
There are other series that are being filmed during the pandemic that still can meet the expectations of the fans.…
I study acting too and they are 1-dimensional. They're is an inherent difference in cute moments through editing and genuine moments that happen between actors. These two do ok with what they were given, but they do lack chemistry that would give weight to their performance. Yes I see the cute moments, but those are literal gotcha traps, to keep you invested, but if you look past you see that that's all it is Eno gh to get people to gush but has no actual depth
This tough, because what I'm seeing is Kane and Soda(oh I just got it...sugar cane and soda) Never got to be open with their love and now they are meeting in this middle section where, as far as iv seen, soda isn't burdened by his family's choices...but now both have other men; Soda being engaged and Kane being courted. So it feels like this could end up sad, because their love together, so it's moving out of the lost past and always wondering or reclaiming that but hurting the ones who love them in the present. I'm curious to how this will go, let's just hope it's not the kinda ending like Dark Blue and Midnight
