I don't think the two of them haven't really thought about what will happen after '3 months'. I think TK actually…
When re recounted the conversation alone that night at home, he blamed her for being odd. He doesn't realize that he loves her. Otherwise, he would have reminded her in the car of Housemate Rule #4(?): Don't mistake TK's acts of kindness as affection.
It's funny how Taekyung has basically forgotten about them being a time-limited deal by now with how insistent…
I agree with your second point. I think for the writer, it's too tempting to split them up. They need to be apart for them both to realize how empty their lives are without each other and I think this will be especially difficult for him as she brought him more than love, but a sense of family via "Bong Min and the Boys" that was so lacking in his life. She'll probably go back home, so she will at least be surrounded by her family, but she won't be able to stop thinking about him, and BongMin won't let her forget him. I do believe that their moms play a vital role during the separation phase.
Interesting weekend... I'm glad they cleared up the miscommunications from Ep 13 in 14. And any sympathy I had for SeJin given the fact her Mom's a nutcase, vanished as she's really gone off the deep-end now, forcing her parents to divorce to support the reason she 'cant' go to the US after all. (I did think the writer would send her to the US to team up with JH to plot to disrupt YD/TK.)
And poor TK doesn't realize it, but he's already circled the drain, and is love with YD. He beat her to it...she's getting there too, but he's already gone.
I too would like to see more of YDs brother + the youngest sister: more airtime please! And we need to see more of the 2 moms getting together - they are such a formidable pair!
The thing that bugs me (other than the annoying but necessary characters to create drama) is that YD doesn't realize (or appreciate) what InOk's reaction will be when they split up after 3 months. Does she think InOk will just disappear? It's her only grandchild, for goodness sake! They have no idea of the pressure that will be on them to reconcile from their Moms, and that her child's grandparents will want a role in its life. I think the 2nd half of this series, after the '3-month point' will be really interesting and bittersweet. I still have faith in this writer, he's been very clever with us so far (even mocking the old separated-at-birth-twin trope) so I believe he knows what he's doing, unlike 3BS which wandered around for most of its plotline.
I really like how fascinated/enamored he was of the group chat, considering he was from a "family" that barely communicates. It seemed to me that "communication (good or bad)" was the theme of Ep 13.
i know i shouldn't overthink this but how does the marriage arrangement benefit Yeon Doo at all. Tae Kyung got…
for her, it's a solution to a short-term problem: calming her mom down enough to have the baby. For him, it's a solution to a long-term problem: Marrying SJ.
Biggest problem: she's not thinking long-term (will he help raise the baby?) and he's not thinking short-term (how does a committed bachelor handle living with someone?)
Goldi Golddigger hid first her earrings in a drawer than herself as our lovely leads came back home quickly, interrupting…
Thank you for the synopsis! The "shady dude" was the other "star teacher" at her academy who went thru her desk, right? I saw the raw preview on YT this morning, but wont be able to watch the subbed version til tonight.
That's always such a mess. Why can't they just write that he went on a business trip or something
I think part of it too, is that it would require a major re-write of the storyline, at least in the short-term, and I don't know how much of the story is already written ahead. For instance, if he dies: -InOk inherits his estate (presumably), making her a major shareholder in the company and a threat to the siblings, who would plot against her -TK/YD would have to move into the main house to keep an eye on her and protect her better. Much more conflict with the siblings and Granny. -SeJin uses it as an opportunity to 'comfort' the grieving Granny and worm her way back in So, it might get to the point that it threatens to sideline the major plot-point (the pregnancy & fake marriage). I suppose the best bet is to let it slide and bring in the substitute. And he IS a good actor as seen in an almost-identical role in BML as an adoptive father of the ML. But it would have been interesting....

It would have been interesting if they suddenly killed the character off (traffic accident, heart attack, etc)? That would have left InOk very vulnerable in that house of vipers and put pressure on TK to support his mom. Might have been interesting, but an extreme detour from what the script is outlined for.
I think the theme of Ep 12 was 'GUILT'. While Ep 11 seemed like something of a breather from the pace of the prior episodes, Ep 12 started things moving again. In 12, we see TK freed from the guilt of leaving SJ mid-wedding thanks to her endless lies. And our main couple are now having to deal with the reality of lying to their parents/step-parents and the dread of the inevitable guilt when they find the truth about 'their' grandchild. Can't wait for Ep 13... And can't believe we'll still be discussing this in September! LOL
Is there something in SK law or customs, that would prohibit YD + TK from marrying, if his youngest sister already married her younger brother? (or vice-versa) We came close to this scenario in IBN & 3BS, but not quite.
She hadn't returned the annex house key/forgot it. She says it and the camera pans on to it too in her hands.…
Exactly. It bothers me that they are, after all, outright lying to their mothers. Yet I also figure that since they think they can out-smart their Moms (like most kids), their Moms will already have figured everything out long before they confess the truth. Their Moms almost stumble onto the truth back at in Ep 10.
Korean shows are not very into less traditional family forms and in cases like this the FL would probably misscarry…
It's odd to me that they have made a point in several episodes about his specialty. My thinking is that it isn't incidental, they might have something in mind for him coming up. Otherwise, why not just write him as being another OB/GYN in the practice? I'm probably overthinking :-)
The oldest child is the son, Gong Chung-Myun played by Choi Dae-Chul. Also, I agree with you on the clerk. The…
Thank you for clarifying. I've gotta believe that the middle sister won't end her pregnancy, since "their side" will need an heir to the family fortune vs. TK/YD child. So many moving parts to this drama, it's like every episode ends on a cliffhanger. Can't wait til next week!
They packed so much into this weekend's shows, it will take a while to digest. The show's pace has no sign of slowing down, and if anything seems to have picked up. Oddly, the one thing that stands out was that clerk at the Borough office. Man, that guy was GREAT, and what a terrific scene.
Has it been said which is the older sibling of the TK's family? Is it the brother or sister?

I have to agree. I keep thinking, there is a reason he's not just an OB/GYN, but a FERTILITY specialist. That's going to come in handy for some reason ahead. Plus, the child isn't his, and as a veteran of 3 Bold Siblings, you know a DNA test will be lurking out there somewhere. I hope I'm wrong....
