I don’t get it. All sang joon ‘s manager has to do is go to the lab and ask for a copy of the results with his ID He doesn’t need to supply another sample. Or i’ missing something.
I wonder why the parents gives zero attention to Soobin, they are almost the same age but treated so differently
There was a VERY brief reference at the cafe when HJ mentioned that Ji Woo was taking the place for Soo Bin because he hurt his arm playing basketball IIRC. But that was several episodes ago....
I think they really blew an opportunity in ep 35 to end the amnesia meme quickly and cleanly: When GW & HJ inform their parents & TaeJu that she's pregnant, etc, THIS would have been the perfect time for TJ's memory to "click" and remember she knew that, and suddenly all the pieces in her mind would fall back in place...she could stand up and shout "I REMEMBER NOW!!!" amidst all that drama with her mother/step-grandma. In other words, that shocking memory has holding everything back. Oh well.
The schizophrenic nature of this series continues...Ep 34 was boring and almost pointless, while 35 felt like one of the best in the series, and gave us (IMO) the best scene in the series, where MY/SR and GW/HJ meet in the cafe. But, then I'm a GW/HJ supporter so I'm biased I guess.
The guys in the accounting department at that DNA testing company must be thinking, "MAN, are we killing it this quarter with all these DNA tests! Sales are thru the roof!"
I swear, it feels like there are 2 different writers on this show. One gives us the sweet romantic and funny scenes with GW/HJ and MY/SR. The other is writing this dopey amnesia story-line with characters that I could care less about, possibly trying to return focus to the main couple who have seemingly gone to the wayside because the other 2 couples outshine them?
Here is my opinion on this paternity question. Sang Joon is not the father. The uncle is the father, he had a…
I agree with much of your post, Pachecopc. He is obviously 'fixing' the DNA results somehow. But that lady is NUTS though, and I think that she genuinely feels SJ is the dad? Young-sik is using her and the situation to his advantage. To me it's puzzling, but not that interesting, and every time that crazy woman gets screen-time, I FF.
Why do I get the feeling that SJ gives her up, she goes to the producer and just as they are about to marry she has a breakthru and SJ discovers the truth?
It’s on Viki. They didn’t air an episode on Saturday as it was the 31st, I guess
Correct, the KBS 2022 Awards show took the Saturday timeslot. IIRC, in years past, the next day (Sunday) slot was then used for a holiday (Xmas/NYE) musical variety show, and there was no program in prime-time for the weekends. Now, they created an interesting situation, where KBS America, which is usually 2 episodes (one weekend) behind KBS World, is now only one episode behind. Maybe they'll re-sync and show us the Awards show next Saturday?
What is also odd, is they didn't post the spoilers for Ep30 on YouTube when they put up the clips from Ep29.
I’m finding the ending to this show is now a big disappointment. Episode 46 was so good, now we get a storyline…
I'm with you 100% Sean. Just saw both 47/48. And I am really disappointed they have gone this direction with only 4 episodes left. They need to do some fan service and give us resolution to: YuNa/SooJae and both couple's babies. I mean COME ON. We've invested 45+ episodes in this series and NOW they decide to change direction? Given this show's lack of any significant time-jumping, how will they cover the babies birth?
Your rant is well-deserved and shared. I watched Ep 25 online yesterday, and remembered how much fun this series used to be.
Many viewers have voiced their concern that Su-Jung/Jung Eun has been given too much screen time, and I also have…
Jamie, that's an interesting point. I too have seen the ire directed at this, especially at Ms. Bae. I don't think she's doing that bad of a job, but her role in the series has been diminished, for sure. At the beginning of the show, she had a lot more to do, in getting her marriage dissolved (she even had a conversation in English, which I appreciated) and seemed a competent young woman. But the show hasn't done her any favors, either. At least twice, they've caught her glancing at cue cards instead of the person she's talking to. Those scenes should have been caught and re-shot. Who is watching the monitors while production is being taped? I have my own issues with some of the show's attention-to-detail in production, mostly in continuity errors, but things like that should never make it on-air.
I'm sure it's uncomfortable to have a decorated veteran actress like PYJ in a supporting role, so probably this was inevitable? It really makes me wonder how much of this show is being written "on the fly", as production continued?
Hae Jun was fine that Yoon Jae contributed less financially while dating but after marriage on her honeymoon,…
Actually he DID purchase more stock (or at least planned to) in a couple of episodes before the marriage, when he planned to give her "more money". At least at that point, according to the price index, the stock he is following is at a low point, so he got a good deal. The bad news is if the company (ME Technic, I think?) goes bust, he's screwed. Remember HJ chided him for being a sucker for bad investment advice. A few episodes before the marriage he talks to HJ (who dumped his stock in the same company) and mentions the stock is down 40%. This is why she warned him before the marriage not to lose any of HER money (they would need it to get by) . Now that they are married, this couple has 3 open plot lines: YJ needs a car (minor point); The stock investment situation needs to be resolved ( I keep hoping that whatever medical devices ME Technic is developing will come to market and the company is bought out and stock soars); and finally child rearing.
Honestly, we all seem to interpret the characters differently based on our backgrounds. If you're interested in a realistic presentation of how 6 different people handle falling in love, it's worth a shot!
hi drama fan!this lead me to understand an other common trait between you and HaeJ: you two take things way too…
Deidra, what makes this series so interesting to me is how we all view it differently. We also draw our own conclusions from those interpretations. Ours simply differ. (I'm actually MinHo's age and would have liked to seen a couple based on their age group, but the Dolts hit a nerve for me for reasons I've stated before.)
Bear in mind, that even the strongest people have weaknesses. And sometimes those weaknesses can be fatal flaws. History shows us this.
Thank you for the kind words.
PS - It occurred to me last night that the biggest problem facing them isn't her. It's the relationship between YoonJae and his Mother. I'll post an observation on this later on, once I sort it out.

More Sweet Potato and Cafe Couples please!!!!
