I have a sinking feeling that end scene at the beach we've been speculating about will just be them going there, once they realize they can be together. Maybe we will get snapshots from the wedding in the photo-montage they always do just before the credits at the series finale.

I hope I'm wrong.

Well it's over. Some random thoughts:
• It was nice they brought back some characters for a final appearance: Ms. Choi, the PR2 team lead; SR’s friend from Mint Comm; and they even managed to find a scene for SooBin to appear in (the wedding, in case you blinked and missed it).
• Speaking of SooBin, I don’t know what happened to that actor, but man this was a mystery to me. There were at least 2 family crisis meetings he was not a part of, presumably because he was busy at the café. Yet, he was missing from both recent café scenes (JH breaks up with NS & CYH ‘discovers’ SeRan). Weird.
• SJ telling the family the date of the wedding, but that the location was ‘secret’. So, they hold it in front of a restaurant, on a public street. Can’t get much more secret than that.
• At least this series finale wasn’t the dumpster fire that It’s Beautiful Now gave us and it flowed much more logically. A nice sense of closure, with YS driving off to nowhere and his family packing to leave with the time jump at the end for the family portrait with the baby after the world tour ended.
• Finally, there has been a lot of talk about the punishment for the villains in the show. Sure, SeRan, YS, and the crazy Ex- and the equally crazy mother of JW pretty much sucked. But what about the real villain in the show, who got off with only Karma to bite her: YS’s Mom. She stole her son’s chance for a future, let his stepfather abuse him, and lied to him about the relatives who took him in, to poison his mind. She set the ball rolling for everything. Where was the White Truck of Doom when SHE was crossing the street?

YY and SJ must have been wearing dry-suits under their clothes, right? I can't imagine how cold the seawater would have been on an already cold day anyhow. In real life, hypothermia would have a real danger. Just walking into the sea as SJ did would have taken his breath away from shock.

LOL, I just realized the real neurosurgeon in this, is the same neurosurgeon from Bravo, My Life!

SooBin seems to have gone MIA again. I guess he's "working at the cafe"?

Question for the group: I finally watched 43 in its entirety. In the last scene (tennis court), did SJ deliberately set up to have the manager take the ex's picture, to prove she's lying about her health? Did he even know what she looked like?
I'm guessing not, and I can see a scene where he's viewing the pics on his PC at home, and TJ walks in, sees the pic and we're off and running...

Am I wrong?

For the first time, I FF'd thru most of an episode (43). I will be very curious after the series ends, to see the post-mortem comments here.

Let's be honest, the writing has been shaky since Ep 1. They didn't know how to play the lead characters off each other, making for weird, and unconvincing chemistry. Then with the MooRim couple taking off in popularity (probably to their shock), they floundered around again in trying to catch up to their character development. Ever since the KBS awards (where MooRim won a Best Couple award) it seems they realized the show had gotten beyond them and they've been struggling to control it, hence the heavy-handed cliche stuff we're seeing now. We still get moments of brilliant, romantic, and funny scenes, but they are few now. I've got a feeling the original story-line as proposed by the producers to KBS was nothing like what we have been seeing lately.

My take away from this weekend, however, is that TJ/SJ actually make for a pretty good investigative team....Maybe a spin-off series with them as undercover detectives??? LOL, in Hollywood I wouldn't put it past them, maybe not so much in SK.

I keep asking myself: How is it that they shovel all this dreck at us, and yet can come up with that brilliant scene where TaeJu assumes the role of Mother-in-Law and approves of MY/SR?

I just don't get it....SMH

For those asking about when SangJun's fathers death: per episode 1 (watched it last night), the latest date stamp was 2002, then a scene 2 years later (2004) had SJ & TJ reunite while she was at med school and he was a patient at the hospital. They started dating (not revealed how long after, but seemed shortly) and at that point, SJ revealed his Dad died 3 years ago (approx 2001), so he died about 22 years ago. I don't know how old Ji Woo is.

OK, a question for the group:
In 39 we see MY-ex eating a steak dinner in her hotel room via room service. She seems to have a good appetite, and I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Was this scene to show us that she's NOT sick and faking any illness?

I guess the poor sweet-potato vendor lost his 2 best customers, we haven't seen him lately?

Thank you! This whole time, I'm trying to figure out why someone with real-world experience in successfully running one of their stores is in Food Development, when she should be in Operations/Management where she can use her experience. SMH.

She is the living definition of a "loose cannon". I feel sorry for her husband.

I don’t get it. All sang joon ‘s manager has to do is go to the lab and ask for a copy of the results with his ID He doesn’t need to supply another sample. Or i’ missing something.

There was a VERY brief reference at the cafe when HJ mentioned that Ji Woo was taking the place for Soo Bin because he hurt his arm playing basketball IIRC. But that was several episodes ago....

I think they really blew an opportunity in ep 35 to end the amnesia meme quickly and cleanly: When GW & HJ inform their parents & TaeJu that she's pregnant, etc, THIS would have been the perfect time for TJ's memory to "click" and remember she knew that, and suddenly all the pieces in her mind would fall back in place...she could stand up and shout "I REMEMBER NOW!!!" amidst all that drama with her mother/step-grandma. In other words, that shocking memory has holding everything back. Oh well.

The schizophrenic nature of this series continues...Ep 34 was boring and almost pointless, while 35 felt like one of the best in the series, and gave us (IMO) the best scene in the series, where MY/SR and GW/HJ meet in the cafe. But, then I'm a GW/HJ supporter so I'm biased I guess.

The guys in the accounting department at that DNA testing company must be thinking, "MAN, are we killing it this quarter with all these DNA tests! Sales are thru the roof!"

What happened to Soo Bin? Was he written out of the show?
