Oh man right when it gets good I think I’m gonna drop this. it’s so disappointing because this is an amazing show with incredible actors but… “I understand the pedo taking advantage of you but bullying is unforgivable!” line pushed me over the edge. I am so disappointed they went this route with Kanata’s subtle anger throughout the last couple episodes. Not only does Kanata fell for the finding someone to lean on lie but it also looks like they’re setting up the pedo to have resolution with the older brother. No thanks! Maybe I’ll finish this way later after the last episode just for Kanata and Akira’s relationship but I’m dropping this for the normalization of abusive “relationships”.
oh god I should not have finished episode 7. How delusional are these writers?
I’m excited to see Sato Yusuke again but after reading the manga I wonder how they’ll adapt it since it’s pretty… boring? I mean it could’ve been an amazing enemies to lovers but they got together so fast I got whiplash. The other plot lines aren’t that interesting either. The Proper Way to Write Love did an amazing adaptation and was an overall improvement over the short story. Hopefully they’ll take note and do something interesting!
sadly he is the product of grooming & that's why what the "tutor" did to him was so despicable, cause…
Yeah it’s crazy how some people make excuses or just blame Akira who is the victim. Sure there’s grey in some areas of life and I don’t mind them being depicted in stories but I definitely draw the line at trying to sympathize with the abuser. The way I see it is that everyone has the choice to be evil or good and your past trauma shouldn’t define you. Your choices define your character and growth as an individual. The “Tutor” however has no trauma other than repressed desires for Akira’s appropriate brother and he choose to take advantage and mess Akira up mentally. I love this series but hearing how Akira thinks of himself is truly heartbreaking. I hope it doesn’t get swept aside with the next episode or worse… rationalized by the victim or Kanata.

Exactly! Also, people forget that he targeted Akira because he is the younger brother of his crush! Talk about disgusting. If the "tutor" truly wanted to be close with Akira because of mutual understanding of oppression, the "tutor" should have been a mentor, not an abuser, especially when it started in middle school. There's a reason why the age of consent is a thing, and that minors having those types of relationships at such a young age is a net negative on society and the individuals involved. I was so excited for this drama, but was hesitant after reading the manga and all the scenes trying to make the "Tutor" sympathetic... I am holding on by a thread for Kanata and Akira.
Bro… If you think you hate the pedo enough you are dead wrong. I should not have watched the preview for episode 7 because it looks like we’re gonna have more scenes with that terrible person. I really hope they don’t give him any resolution or god forbid a happy end.It was nice to see them talk for a bit. Kanata was so gentle with his words that it’s giving me hope he’ll knock out the “Tutor” next time he sees him. I know I’m probably reading too much into it but I get the impression that the subtle anger Kanata’s actor portrays whenever Akira mentions the pedo is because Akira does not even realize how badly that guy messed up his self value. It’s so sad that Akira doesn’t even understand the words he’s saying to Kanata. Especially when he said that it went all the way back to middle school! I almost lost it when after Kanata beautifully explained why he likes Akira only for Akira to devalue himself because of the influence the “Tutor” has on him. Kanata please knock some sense into your boy in the next episode!
Saw on an instagram post (can’t find it and didn’t save because the app reloaded when I looked up the MDL page) that’s it’s being released on VOD on April 27th. Don’t know if it’s an international release but FOD network dramas are so slow with their international releases.
I’m in the USA and it’s on The Lezhin Snack app. First few episodes are free but you have to pay for the rest. If you haven’t bought any coins there’s a 50% off promo for 100 coins about $10 which is enough to unlock the series.
Great acting and chemistry but the pacing felt off. Decent story but it feels like a lot was cut. I noticed a few scenes from the trailer didn’t appear. Overall an enjoyable watch with some drama that was way to easily resolved.
That position is hilariously bad. Took me out because like is he rubbing their sticks together? I just find it funny and interesting seeing positions that only work for hetro intimacy used for homo NC scenes.
so there is a page for Because I want you with eight episodes, and then there is this page which seems like the…
I think I read somewhere that there’s two versions. A shorts/vertical version and one that compiles them into 12 min episodes. It’s like Matchplay and Matchplay re-edited version
The infantilization of bottoms in Domundi shows is... weird to say the least but this one takes the cake for me.…
Yo I was thinking about watching their other series after seeing Durang with You but it’s seems that one is an outlier. I usually avoid Domundi because of the stereotypical characterization of top/bottom (the infantilization) and the weird “shipping couple” thing they encourage with their actors.
i loved the show so far but if they waste another half of an episode abour a fuckin groomer im gonna lose my mind
Man I was so close to dropping when I saw that we were halfway through the episode and still on the pedoline. At least it’s over… hopefully. I swear if he goes back to the Tutor I’m gonna lose it! They changed and added a lot to the adaptation that I hoped they would change the “Tutor” plot line. Wishful thinking but I hope Kanata knocks him out for making Akira feel dirty and undeserving.
Having a relationship with an older man doesn't mean he was groomed. He's legally able to have a relationship…
Don’t know if you got to it yet but he started “tutoring” Akira when he entered high school so the argument from Littlelola that Akira was 18 is irrelevant. Also, Japan only recently lowered their age of consent to 18. Not to mention the circumstances of Akira’s mental state at the time he meet the “tutor” definitely clouded his judgement. Also, if Akira was so okay with it why would he hide it? Why does he feel dirty and undeserving of Kanata’s affection? It’s so sad seeing people defend this and I’m happy to see people pushing back
you people blaming akira for being groomed are stupid
Yo that’s crazy. It’s also crazier seeing people supporting his abuse. Like he was literally not in the right mental state after being bullied by his friend just for a man to swoop in and take advantage because he couldn’t get with the age appropriate brother. “Keep our balance” yeah right. It’s clear Akira was not okay with his “relationship” with the tutor and that it messed him up. He literally feels dirty and that he doesn’t deserve Kanata’s affection. I don’t know how clear it can be.
