Get to know China's system better
I watched this series not only because of the great cast BUT i wanted to get to know China's judiciary better. After watching, its good for knowledge and to be honest, am amazed with their Mediation system. I never knew China prioritise Mediation so much. The stories are all very relatable so it makes the series very realistic. Jin Dong & his wife's relationship is a good reflect of matrimonial issues between couples with kid. Cheng Yi's role as a young judge is realistic. As a young judge, he struggled a lot to play the role and wanted to give up BUT eventually he learned to handle stress and his role. Good to watch and good to learn. Was this review helpful to you?

Not the best wuxia BUT still entertaining and good fight scenes
It is my humble opinion that one should only write review if he or she has completed watching the series. The earlier part of the series was a bit messy but it did get better after api 13 or so. Cheng Yi was emo and cried a lot as Xiao Qiu Shui but i could understand it as he is a modern person travelled into ancient time. I feel that its his way of interpretation but most people are unable to accept or misunderstand his interpretation/performance. I love every scene of Li ChenZhou and Cheng yi nailed it. Other actors all did their job well too esp the villain of the show. The series also promotes a lot of moral and good values. What is the purpose of living? It is to live with joy, live without any regrets, live life to its fullest but doing the right things. Overall my entire family enjoyed watching the series but we wont say its the best series of 2025. I would say that the production team do indeed need to reflect on their work as they could have done a lot better. Was this review helpful to you?

A Different type of Series!
I have watched the series to its end from day one. I love the story, cast, music. It is NOT suitable for the children as it is very brutal/cruel BUT it makes me feel patriotic towards my own country and race. The pace is fast and slow depending on the plot but very relatable. If i put myself in xie huaian position, i might be more brutal in fact. We protect our family, our friends, our country too. We wont compromise on that. All actors acted so well in their respective roles that made me cry ever so often. It offers no romance BUT it offers lots of human connections and compassion and forgiveness. I love Zhang Mo/deposed emperor's role the most as he changed from a coward to a very responsible human being. Also love Gu Yu's role. Very loyal, protective and willing to do anything for his country/king.Was this review helpful to you?

One of the BEST XIANXIA ever
I watched this series during pandemic as i had nothing to do BUT i didnt expect this to be this good. It is my first xianxia and until now, it remains as my best as i have watched others. You just got to watch beyond episode 3 and then u will get hooked. I never knew about Cheng Yi nor Yuan Bing Yan but their acting and CP was one of the best i have seen in ages. The story is almost flawless and made me re-watch too many times. I must admit the main male lead Cheng Yi did so well that whenever he cried, i cried too. This is what viewers want and enjoy the most. And with a happy ending, who wouldnt liked? Was this review helpful to you?

Made me cry so much!
I truly loved how Tang Zhou loved Yan Dan and thereafter Ying Yuan 2.0 made me enjoy so much! Their love story is matured so its more about sacrifices they are willing to make for each other. Their love knows no boundaries esp when Yan Dan finally understood why the realms peace is much more important that anything else. Yan Dan became matured and Ying Yuan/Tang Zhou learned how to love and express himself. Its very relatable in our everyday life. Communication is the key to everything and one will sacrifice for the person he/she loves and also prioritise the world. This is how the world is supposed to be.Was this review helpful to you?
Worth WATCHING esp for the THOUSAND SWORDS SCENE ! Forego Hatred.
Overall, i enjoyed myself for the first part till epi. 17 or so and then the last bit from 32 to 36. The thousand swords scene is one of the best i have ever watched on c-drama. My honest opinion is that the acting and cgi are top notch even from the supporting cast but i do not know what happened in between till they dragged so much into the spider story. They suddenly focused on Li Yitong's beautiful outfits with her awful brother rather than sticking to the meaningful story. Bad planning indeed from the production team. But the final bit from epi 33 onwards were epic. Made me cry and understand the whole idea is that the goods willl always prevail against the bad. The good intention will always prevail against the hatred in people which is exactly what is happening the today's society. We stay true to our good intentions togetherWas this review helpful to you?

Emotional roller-coaster !
I believe the team made it a point NOT to drag too much so it does progress quite fast to the extent i wished i could watch more of Yan Dan & Ying Yuan/Tang Zhou together. Its a matured love story and more about sacrifices one will make for the world/realms and not only on love. Acting wise is top notch from all of the actors and actresses. Cheng Yi's crying scenes really broke my heart so many times and his acting got me hooked on the drama. Yang Zi is also very good as she made me cry and laughed a lot. One of the better xianxias of all time but my favourite remains as love and redemption. :)Was this review helpful to you?
