This is more of a criticism I got after watching ep 6 as a viewer:

I get what Kwangtae is trying to do, and I'm all for him as a participant explore his options. But he is going about it in a worst way. Instead of trying to get to know all the female house mates discretely, he's making it obvious to all the girls that he has his eyes set on all of them. Now you get Yujung confronting him and getting the wrong assumption about her being a "second option." That screams "DISRESPECT," as a woman. He needs to calm down his game, or it'll likely backfire on him in the end. He's giving me SI3 Gwanhee's tamer younger brother vibes, lmfao.

Ever since the "famous" convo between Juwon & Seokyung outside the back of the house, it seems as though Seokyung is now trying to gate-keep Juwon for herself. I don't know what she's trying to accomplish, but she's also making herself a target for hate/jealousy with the other females who might have an interest on Juwon (Yujung & Sangjeong). It seems as though she's making it obvious that she's his ex, so the chances of Juwon getting female attention in the future would be slim. If she wants Juwon back, she can just arrange a private convo and just have a heart to heart talk with him as soon as possible. But just like she said, she puts on a "poker face," so her intentions are hard to decipher. I wonder if this behavior would be the reason why Yujung decided not to continue pursuing Juwon's affection in future episodes?! Hmm...Her ex would likely appear around ep 8, so there's not much time for her to explore any possibilities with Juwon. Let's see how this progress...

the king and the secretary mentioned the name of Yeohwa's brother. so it's likely that he's part of a secret organization that is opposed to the current government. the king is definitely waiting for his return.

my take of Yeowha's widowhood, is that she was immediately rush into marriage because they know most of the family are all military officers. she could potentially plot a coup in search of her brother. so her marrying into another powerful family (who might be on the opposition), could silence her in some form or another. and in those time period, being a widow is considered "damaged goods," so no one would wanna be associated with her in terms of what is socially acceptable in those times.

yeah, that's the one that I saw too.

I did sense that she could be this season's "star" for a lack of better word. Cause, she was featured in a lot of the previews prior to the airing of the show. Especially that seen where she was crying, I think she went to the "Ex-Room" for sure.

its possible that they've tried making it work, but ultimately, decided not to. I think the vlog when WonIk interviewed Hyeseon (not sure of the time frame), was kind of a give away. Fans were divided by those that wanted to see them together, and those that were loyal to the Hyeseon-Gwanhee love line. Idk if you saw that vlog, but Gwanhee commented on 2x...implying jealousy, lol. And the fans went crazy on his comments. He decided to delete them. Then Gwanhee released his take on the matter afterwards.

Right! Pride & Prejudice has such a universal theme, that it's so adaptable for a Kdrama.

there's been spoilers that have been popping up on my feed, and I'm very curious if this will turn out the way it is predicted. keep in mind, these aren't 100% confirmed, so read @ your own risk:

apparently there's going to be 4 catfishes; 2 of them are of course the exes of the current housemates - for prediction, its been assumed that it's Kwangtae & Yujung's exes. the other 2 would be new additions to the house. I've seen some pictures of Yujung & her ex, but he's blurred out in the photo - apparently he's a chef by profession. This season will focus on both Juwon & Yujung's love adventures; not necessarily towards each other, but their respective pursuit of it.

Yujung's ex will definitely cause a lot of emotional sentiments ones he enters the house. So for now, she has her eyes set on Juwon, until her ex comes in the picture. In the beginning, I was rooting for her & Juwon, but after seeing the latest episodes, I think Juwon isn't as interested in her, as she does to him. Also, base on observation, she seems to be the jealous type - I often heard the saying that a pretty person is usually the most insecure, specially when they don't get what they want. I noticed how she reacted when Seokyung touched Juwon's arm, and the camera zoomed in on Yujung, and her reaction was that of a jealous gf. I wonder how will ep 6 play out when Seokyung sits on Juwon's lap, and Yujung is present. OMG! Yujung will eventually put the pieces of the puzzle, and realized that those two are exes. It's predicted she will get back with her ex.

Juwon will apparently end up with a new partner by the end of the show. Right now, he seems hung up on Seokyung, but I guess Seokyung's lack of response to his pursuit of her would eventually back fire on her. Juwon will eventually grow tired of pursuing her, and just in time for the new female catfish to enter the house, then he'll focus his attention on her in full. One thing I find interesting in Juwon's behavior in the house so far, is that, he seems to gravitate more on people's energy rather that physical attraction. I noticed this since the beginning, he's kind and responsive towards everyone, but he doesn't seem to pay extra attention by the likes of lets say Yujung, considering she's the type that turns heads. Like for example; Hyewon was having trouble picking up the side dishes, and Juwon immediately helped her out without hesitation, makes me think that he likes to take the initiative in pursuing rather than the other way around. He always has this soft spot for Hyewon, and always seems to be considerate of her at all times. It would be a 360 plot-twist if they both end up together by the end of the show, lol.

It would be interesting how this season plays out. Will we get a controversy or we're in it for a surprise! we'll see...

some of my faves of all times. I would love to see a remake (whether period drama/present time) in a Korean drama setting:

1. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
2. All the Jane Austen novels
3. Wives & Daughters by Elizabeth Gaskell
4. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
5. Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin (I would personally love to see this remake in a Korean drama, but more on a present day type of atmosphere because of the themes of the story).

well, all the speculations have now all been debunked by Gwanhee.

idk if you've seen his vlog he released a few days ago. basically addressing all the "supposed hints," fans have been assuming. he is not in a relationship with hyeseon, and they are not in LDR. apparently after the show, they've discussed it, but ultimately, Gwanhee's preference about being able to meet the person he likes at all times, would not have workout with Hyeseon (she's studying in the UK). to his credit, I'm glad he addressed the issue as early as possible. because apparently, it has been affecting his professional life as well, so he decided to just put and end to it.

that's the rumor going around. she's the only (female) casts this season, that I've seen getting contents so far.

apart from hyeseon, I liked hajeong because in the end, she had the most growth out of all the women this season. She backed off when she realized that gwanhee and her would not have worked out regardless. It’s great to see she’s getting her own flat form. I also heard she’ll be included as a panel for next season:

I was having major second-hand embarrassment from her during the helicopter ride; the nerve! I saw a post about how S3 had some of the most iconic scenes in SI's history; and the "helicopter drama" was the top picked, lmfao.

lmfao! I think most of us were all rooting for hyeseon, even though gwanhee was such a piece of work the entire time. she's like the k-drama heroine come to life.

right! I have to dig up some k-web dramas I've watched in the past, to see if I can spot him. nowadays, a lot of those who debut in web dramas are starring in bigger productions (i.e. bae in hyuk, lee jungwon, etc). whether the rumors about Hwihyun are true or not; it's hard to really judge because in retrospect - all of these participants are already in it for exposure of some sort. but it doesn't necessarily mean that it will end favorably for them. so it's a hit or miss joining shows like this.

some things I noticed after watching the first 2 eps:

yeowha’s brother went missing after working on a assignment. I’m guessing he might be involved in some government opposition, and might possibly become a rebel because of it. there’s hints that he’s alive; he left her a custom made weapon in their secret hiding place.

about her “dead husband.” her uncle was the one who facilitated the marriage soon after; which is suspicious. but in those times, it’s likely seen as a necessity because she’s now left without a guardian. her father in law might have something to do with her brother, her husband, and the park’s family to either gone missing or turned up dead. it seems like he wields more power than the king, but I think the king is “playing” a part, and is working with a faction we have yet to see.

its an exciting 2 episodes so far. can’t wait for the next week.

I’ve caught up with the first 3 eps so far, and I would really love to see more Juwon & Yujung in the coming episodes. I feel like they might have an impact on the future episodes to come; whether they are exes, or not. I did noticed that Yujung seems interested in Juwon. I remember the beginning of ep 3, and how excited Yujung got when Juwon came back - and she started asking him questions already. Plus, she seems disappointed that she got Hwihyun as a secret date; my first thought was - “she must have hope she got Juwon or even Dongjin when she shot the QR code.”

also, I’m pretty certain I’ve seen Hwihyun on some shows (like a web drama), cuz his face is so familiar. We’re already aware of his profession due to the couple reveal, which is why there’s some alleged rumors going around about him on social media. Same for Dongjin, I could have sworn I’ve seen him in some dramas in the past; like either a side character, or an extra.

I’m hopeful that I would enjoy this season as much as I did with S2, cuz I noticed both the beginning episodes are on a slow start. Hoping things could shake up the dynamics ones the “catfish” moves in sooner or later.

ngl, I was one of those viewers that rooted for hyeseon/gwanhee end game 😂.

I really do think that gwanhee shows his vulnerable side to hyeseon, but as a viewer, he frustrated the hell out of me 99% of the time 😤. If they are really dating outside of the show; which there are clues that they are, I hope gwanhee gives the kind of respect befitting hyeseon. She’s a very good girl, but also has her convictions. I wish them the best!

There was a clip of gwanhee back in november saying something about going on a vacation “with the person he loves.” I’m guessing he’s referring to hyeseon, since she’s currently in the UK, working on her masters. And that the flowers she got on her bday was from the florist gwanhee frequents in yeonamdong. So it’s possible that they are in LDR.

did you mean Ok JaHyun? yeah, she has the look of a villainess. The 1st time I watched her was on “The Uncanny Counter,” and she was scary in that series.
