3 time lines were shown in the episode:
1st TL: present time-they were back all working together which was the prison escapees case.
2nd TL: 2 years earlier from present day- end of season 1 where everyone parted ways to do their own thing after which Mr Jang gets arrested and was investigated and released.
3rd TL: An year earlier from present day(so an year after Mr Jang was released and cleared of all charges). Mr Jang and Kim do ki are still working together secretly without the others knowing. This is the single father loosing his son to human trafficking/illegal slavery case. This case is probably where the whole team gets back together again which will be shown in the next episode(which means in present day it would've been an year they've all been back together, when the prison escapees case happened).

What if the roles were reversed and ur daughter is the one who is the single mother? Would you then think the same of her? wish her to never find a partner who would marry her, love her and take care of her? Would she not be worthy of love and companionship?

Do joon was killed and lost everything (the company, his dreams of having a family with Minyoung, parents he cared abt, his life). And the person who ordered the hit became the chairman for the next 20 years with zero consequences and died in his sleep by natural causes. That sounds like justice to you?

Do jun lost everything (the company, the love of his life, the child he dreamt of having, his family and his own life) while the person who killed him lived as the chairman for 20 years and died in his sleep. If that isnt a disappointing ending dont know what is.

U sound a bit unhinged to be honest

The life of Do Jun as we saw it in the past episodes was really in fact the life of the original Do Jun. We saw in the last scene they showed when ML commented the exact same thing to FL abt her clothes Do Jun did to FL back in college, she thought back on that memory and reacted. There were other scenes like the one with Mr Oh not ever wanting to see those donuts etc.
He did propose to her in the interrogation room and told her of his dreams of a married life with her and having a child together. And she did accept afterwards so thats probably why he said they were engaged plus they dated for quite sometime before they broke up and became estranged. He wanted to marry her then aswell given the ring he had in his desk that he was staring at wistfully.

No. He got arrested by the prosecution in 2004 where he proposed to her, not 2002 (grandpa died late 2002, SIL got pregnant, grand ma was carted out of the country and they broke up right after which must be early 2003. And in todays ep., during grandpa's memorial, SIL has a baby with her who looks to be atleast a few months old, which means a year+ have passed so it must be 2004 and over a year since ML and FL broke up. And he got arrested right after the memorial so we are some where in mid 2004) and the newspaper article abt the athlete he showed her was something that was about to happen right away(2004)so he used the outcome to try and get her back (which means he probably waited for her response only for a few weeks at the most, not years)
