The investigation part is stupid. Rather the characters were made to look stupid be the execution. Like if you go spying on people one wouldn't wear bright colored clothes and "hide" where anybody can see you if they just look up.
I love the ML but I don't really feel the chemistry from the FL in their scenes.

I think there are a lot of different interpretations of "horribly written" here. :D

Allen Ren (31) in Under the Power played a 22 year old.
He looks the part okay, what feels unrealistic is THAT the character is only 22.

Also could be worse. I just dropped Jiu Liu Overlord. Was watching for Leon Lai but couldn't bare it anymore (way to boring).

His character writing was a bit weak. :-/

Because if you aren't a twilight fan you surely remember so much about the writing? :D
P/s: Didn`t like ep 1 much either.

I find the romance the most boring part. But this is one of the few "thriller" dramas that actually gives me thrills. And the acting is good.
I can forgive that some writing/character choices are effect driven.

Now f the ML was as hot as in Maiden Holmes... the ratings would be higher! :D

Please clarify through what you mean with "like this". The actor or the character? :D Because there are a lot of hot actors...

The plot really was the excuse of a plot and the mystery a joke with all these convenient "talents". Everything was to easy... But then there were things so obvious to the viewer (at least to me) from the start that I pressed fast forward a couple times. But I did enjoy the romance at the beginning.

Truly the only thing I liked was the main couple. I personally recommend only watching the first 18/19 episodes. The rest/the plot in general is so incredibly boring and unoriginal.
Anyone who has seen a few chinese historical dramas can guess the rest. I feel like this drama only went through the motions. For the most part I felt totally unengaged. But I did enjoy the first bit with the romance a lot though! :D.
But it became somewhat a cheese and boring side show.
When I rewatch this one day I will stop at ep 18 or 19. There was a really good moment to stop there.
