Is the drama publicly funded? If not, they have no right to demand for cancellation. If you believe in freedom of expression, there is no other way to look at it.
Trying to shut something down you don't agree with or even think is problematic (so you don`t have to bother with further criticism/debate) is authoritarian and toxic for democracy.
True principles aren't some nice weather concepts. You don`t just throw them out no matter the crises or offensive thing. But at least we are just talking about a drama here.
Isn`t Ji Chang Wook one of the highest - if noz the highest - paid actors in Korea? lol I wish he was back at doing exactly what that`s do to though: action.
so you judge by the first ep? it actually really stupid
Yes for the time being. No it's smart to wait for the reviews if you have the impression you don`t like a drama. If one doesn't like wasting time at least.
I regret wasting my evening on the first episode last night. Ep 1 gave no reason to continue at least concerning the plot and characters so far. I`ll drop it for now.
I kind of started to like it from episode 5. But I wholeheartedly admit mostly because the ML is really nice to look at. :D Still pressing fast forward a LOT and episode 8 I literally guessed most of what would happen in the whole episode just after 15 minutes inn. It became slightly less silly from ep. 5 on and the soundtrack became better too.
It`s kind of entertaining but I have to stop or fast forward every two minutes because I can't bare the cringe moments. This is why I try to avoid comedy as much as possible. And this is the worst/best example of my Kdrama kryptonite. But I am bored and need something between episodes from The Uncanny Counter, His Dark Materials and The Expanse. Or else I might end up watching the economic melodrama around us. And going for a walk in nature might literally become illegal (where I live).
I only made it through the first two episodes by pressing fast forward a lot. Do episodes after continue in this style? I am kind of allergic to comedy like this. If I have to cringe that much I get literally jaw pains.

Overlord was really bad luck. Couldn’t bare watching much of it.
