So disappointed after waiting 3 years. The actors are beautiful/handsome. They did the best they could with the writing. The female lead lacks common sense and brought a new disaster one after the other. I just couldn't watch. I wanted to but gave up hope around ep 23 when it became obvious that the characters could not develope, grow or work together.
Even in a fantasy drama there should be some logic and common sense. The writer used easily avoided misunderstands to creat crises to be solved. Much of the conflict was unnecessary. Instead of working together the main leads were in disconnect. The FL's part really made me cringe in dread of her next actions.
I'm afraid I will have to drop this. The female lead truly is mostly a plot device. She doesn't think things through and causes constant crises. I dread when she comes on the screen. It's so unnecessary. An 8 year old might use better judgement. I had hoped for a much "fuller" drama with smart, strong characters. Working through challenges instead of creating them. I love the actors, but the drama is disappointing.
I came here after Royal Nirvana, therefore plots and scheming here seem very mediocre and the reasoning behind…
I'm hugely disappointed after waiting for 3 years. The writing for the female lead makes me cringe. It's like she is a plot device meant to trigger catastrophe. Not sure how smart she is supposed to be given that her actions obviously trigger calamity. I wanted to love this and I do love the actors. but. I even tried watching with the sound turned off but each episode brought predictable disaster that yes didn't have to happen.
Agree. Also, I didn't enjoy the symbolism of the bell. He was not an animal after all.
waited 3 years and I do now have a big crush on Darren Wang and I like all the actors but this drama is so cringe worthy. I want to watch it but only can if I turn the sound off, somehow that makes it less annoying. But each episode it is like a feeling of dread waiting for the female lead to do the next stupid thing.
As someone that love cdrama and rarely complain, I'm finding this drama so annoying. I can't seem to move past…
The female lead's character is immature and constantly creates problems. I think that the writers use her to create problems that then have to be solved. Lazy writing. Had to drop it.
The actors are eye candy! but I'm disappointed so far. Waited 3 years for this drama. It seems to have lots of mis-understandings that could be avoided if the main leads worked together. The writing is lacking. The FL comes across as immature or something, just not what you expect of a commander's daughter. Want to love this drama but I find myself fast forwarding through many of her scenes as they make me cringe. Darren Wang is super hot and Sean Xiao's part seemed to be the most sensible so far.
i was hoping to like this series- but it fell flat for me. I ended up dropping this series and couldn't finish.…
oh this cracked me up "she's captured or passed out and when she wakes up...she's in a a diff outfit/female clothing...like the bad guys changed her everytimes she blacked out...?! huh?" hahahahah! so true
uh and that kiss my stars!

So disappointing. And I am not a fan of Olivia Wang's either.
