they don't match. You can tell Zanilla's heart isn't in this drama, read her comments online. And because of the crappy job by the makeup people, she looks tired and has dark circles under her eyes. It isn't sexist to dislike huge age gaps when a couple is incompatible because of them. Whether it is the female or male who is the younger. Zanilla is one of my favorite actresses but this is a real miss. Look forward to her better dramas.

This drama was a miss. Too many writers, and not enough care given.
Even Zanilla was unhappy with the writing.

I've seen many of her dramas and they were great. This one lacks the charisma and liveliness she usually brings to the drama. Very washed out looking. It is weird.

Zanilia Zhao looks like she doesn't want to be there in most of the episodes so far.

The relationships just sort of are there, they aren't built.

I see no chemistry either. Maybe because there is little or any character development or in depth interaction. It feels 2 dimensional. Not the actors fault - maybe the writing or editing?

Well described. The drama feels "flat" a lot of the time. The Zhou Fe character lacks dimension and personality.

Same for me. I waited 3 years for this drama and can't force myself to keep watching. Stuck around 20+ eps even fast forwarding - usually female lead. So many bad decisions by a supposedly smart person.

Big sis was my favorite, then Dongfang.

Accurate review. I only just watched this. Often in these types of dramas the so called bad guys - usually "demons" are more honest and moral than the either "immortals" or "righteous" sects.

Interesting concept and kept me in suspense. Nice fantasy of people who find out they live in a comic book and aren't supposed to have free will. It makes you imagine what if?

In case you decide to watch it, hint the male lead has a strong fate with the female lead.

Just finished this drama. I think it is a classic and still good today. Watched it on YouTube with eng subs.

Kim Jung Hyun (the King) is a super talented actor.
He made me cry my guts out in the drama "Time".
