On Ever Night Season 2 Jan 18, 2020
At 18 minutes in on first episode, boring. No draw. No reason to watch except if you're hoping that maybe eventually something interesting will happen.
Ever Night didn't need a season 2.

Well, I think it is in keeping with the times this is set in. If we watch a story about ancient history should…
You're right. I haven't studied Chinese history but had hoped the good guys didn't use torture. It requires a certain amount of corruption.

When are they subbing the rest of the episodes?
I think you can give up on the subs. Virtual Voyage was doing them but seems to busy to finish.

Is "facial blindness" really that common in Asian countries? Or just a newer trope cause the old ones like amnesia, twins, birth secrets, rich boy and clumsy virtuous girl are worn out?

Except he's not really a "good guy". His job is a jinyiwei, so he works for the emperor. You can sort of compare…
thank you for the explanation. I will see if I can reconcile this. Does he change?

Can you spoil me as to who did what? But overall I agree with you. If you behave like one of the bad guys, can…
in the very first episode the male lead tortures a prisoner. I don't know why but it's torture. Given that torture is still a think in 1st world countries even, I find it disgusting.

I thought that good guys didn't torture people. Is it supposed to be ok depending on who does it???

Am I the only one who doesn't ship Ding Ning and the aunt? Their romance seems forced and with no chemistry.
there was no creating of the relationship, no build up, no explanation.
They were just plonked together. Nothing to ship. Sad. Whoever created this pile of a drama should be punished for wasting too really good actors.

14th prince is clearly a psychopath... He goes from evil to playing the victim, then he turns around and try to…
"I can’t wait to see the sister burning" - ditto!

It's so so. The story idea is interesting, the writing and acting is not. It feels like a lot of money has been wasted. Everything feels flat, one dimensional.
The lead male actor Kim Min Kyu doesn't seem suited for historical dramas. He lacks the gravitas needed. He's great in modern dramas. He's very handsome and has unique looks.
The female lead - Jin Se Yeon has improved but she also lacks that certain something that makes you care about her character.

Seriously, did someone in the cast or production or writers offend someone important and it's holding up the show?

Why all the Wu Xian type drama always ended in tragedy/sad ending. There will be always someone died or all died…
don't see a "tragedy" tag. I do see a "reincarnation" tag though, so that's a good sign.
