The plot: ambitious, yet not as thoroughly fleshed out. The pairing: cute, everyone was just so cute. The cinematography:…
now I see what the problem was for me - "emotional investment". I wanted to like the drama but I just couldn't get a strong attachment to the characters. Thanks for putting it into words.
I would definitely drop the show if he marries both. thats just wrong.
I'm not fond of harems in a drama either. I don't watch many harem/palace because I find it hard to enjoy them. It certainly doesn't seem romantic - but it is based on that culture or time. it's ok to drop a drama if part of it ruins it for you. Dramas are for fun. I drop dramas for all sorts of things.
Why can't they ever make a harem drama where the girl doesn't end up with the king or a prince who is about to…
It turned out that the real trigger for the death of the gentle Empress was when Fu Heng's wife boinked the emperor then told the Empress about it. Pretty awful. So yes the emperor was guilty too.
I enjoyed the drama, but I was hoping for a different ending... I wonder if she ever really loved the emperor…
Just finished it today. And I'm not sure if she really loved the emperor. They did seem happy together. But she definitely loved Fu Heng. In their next lives, they would be together.
A very nicely done article. For me, Life was a disappointment. I was on the verge of dropping it so many times.…
I've tried and tried to watch it. It feels very dreary. It mostly feels depressing. A drama should have some positives in it somewhere. It just didn't pull me in - in spite of the wonderful actors etc.
The drama has 50 episodes. It's not even half of it. Give it some time. I am sure we will see development in the…
thank you for all of this commentary! I became a fan of Zheng Ye Cheng 's because of this drama. His background story is fascinating. While waiting on new eps for Odyssey, I watched "Let's Shake It" and loved it.
This drama is so different. There's a lot of new faces, new talent that I hope to see in more dramas. And this is probably wrong, but I enjoy just looking at Daniel Choy, what a work of art.

No one can tell? But we the viewers can?

:) The plot got tiring, but still I liked the drama.
