I enjoyed the drama, but I was hoping for a different ending... I wonder if she ever really loved the emperor…
Just finished it today. And I'm not sure if she really loved the emperor. They did seem happy together. But she definitely loved Fu Heng. In their next lives, they would be together.
A very nicely done article. For me, Life was a disappointment. I was on the verge of dropping it so many times.…
I've tried and tried to watch it. It feels very dreary. It mostly feels depressing. A drama should have some positives in it somewhere. It just didn't pull me in - in spite of the wonderful actors etc.
The drama has 50 episodes. It's not even half of it. Give it some time. I am sure we will see development in the…
thank you for all of this commentary! I became a fan of Zheng Ye Cheng 's because of this drama. His background story is fascinating. While waiting on new eps for Odyssey, I watched "Let's Shake It" and loved it.
This drama is so different. There's a lot of new faces, new talent that I hope to see in more dramas. And this is probably wrong, but I enjoy just looking at Daniel Choy, what a work of art.
that put me off at first but actually the intent isn't to show girls crushing on him but instead his character…
It's ironic. The Fairy Sister rejected Lin Dong repeatedly, but the wild girl Huan Huan always just knew Lin Dong was special. So Fairy Sister went against fate so to speak, and in the end regretted it. I learned from this drama that it means different things to different people, hence the lower rating overall. Maybe my perspective is different as I'm an older viewer. I disliked the Fairy Sister for much of the drama - I felt she was very negative, mostly focused on herself and she failed to do her job of being the Emblem Protector much of the time. When Lin Dong's life was in danger it was often Huan Huan who risked everything to protect him, even knowing that at one point he was only interested in The Fairy Sister. Huan Huan was selfless from the very beginning. Anyway, I loved this drama but am an outlier I guess. :(
your review makes this sound good but overall rating 7.5 is that a good rating from you? Should I watch this if subs appear? (I tend to rate too highly anything I finish. I drop if I hate something)
2 female leads not enough? Suddenly more female characters entered the scene. OTL
that put me off at first but actually the intent isn't to show girls crushing on him but instead his character development from an immature crush to sincere love.
:) The plot got tiring, but still I liked the drama.

He got a 6 - 7 centimeter gash above his eye that required 30 stitches.
"The actor was scheduled to join the rest of the cast at a 'The Last Empress' press conference on December 20. However, his injury has made it unclear whether or not he will be in attendance."
