I'll say that my biggest issue with LOTFG is really the pacing and editing felt jarring and really kept taking me out of it. It was pretty authentic to the webnovel, but it did feel like a bit too much shoved in to the whole story. Maybe one or two fewer side arcs would have helped it for me, but thats how it was in the webnovel so i get it but i think it caused the whole story to feel spread a bit too thin and i didnt get to dig in to the romance as deeply as i would have preferred. This one the romance really felt like the focus.

I had SO MUCH FUN with this drama!!! I am a romance novel addict. I love a good romance story and thats what this drama was so dont come to this story expecting a piece of high dramatic art. Cheng Lei is absolutely amazing in this. I have to say this man can ACT. His range is pretty incredible even just within this one character and there were lots of subtle choices to his performance that kept cheesy stuff feeling sincere and loveable imo. The weakest link was the FL action scenes but frankly thats not what I was even sort of here for. INCREDIBLE kiss scenes. super hot leads. a well paced and performed romance story with a sprinkle of intrigue to keep it moving. HEA guaranteed yall.

Have you WATCHED Blossom? I find this is an absolutely wild take because he is SO hot to me. I fell down a HOLE I have yet to escape from after seeing it.

This drama is so good but these shitty "kissing scenes" RUIN IT. Cdramas really have to be better about this. Be willing to kiss or stay out of the romance genre ffs.

watched this for Lee Minjae mostly because im normally not a big sitcom person in general, but the acting and cast was really fun in this! great comedic timing. short, quick and fun. an ensemble cast and a couple cute love lines bit this is mostly light, fun, corny physical comedy. I have it and 8/10 but if you like this kind of genre youd probably like it even better

I’ve seen him in a ton of rolls, but they’re always in costume dramas I haven’t seen him in modern clothes til today and OMG WTF HES STUNNING. I would really really like to see him in a modern romance drama as the male lead. I will be checking out those projects from him very soon and hoping for more even sooner.

unfortunately the source material fumbled the ending so bad not even the screenwriters impeccable writing could make it not a bit cringe, but other than the detour right at the end this drama was absolutely perfect for what it was. yoo yeonseok is always incredible but this role let him stretch his legs in the kind of way his amazing on screen kissing skills have always needed.

I need him in more ML roles. He's so good/hot.

OMG literally put SWNS on hold because the villian (Wooseok) was second lead syndroming me too bad I literally lost interest in everyone else. Had to check his upcoming works and I am THRILLED to see it's a romantic fantasy AND it features my KPOP ult of ults Seunghyub from n.flying. SO hyped for this.
