I haven't watched the first season because I was worried it'd be angsty but now that it seems like Ryeoun is joining this sequel as a protagonist means I will be adding both seasons to my watchlist. Also finding it hilarious that he and Choi Hyun Wook have so much overlap of works. Hope to see him in even more things!
cute story, if a bit rushed imo. leads are pretty. i like these dramas for the low angst and fluffy storylines but i know they arent for everyone and they are rarely groundbreaking. i did appreciate a lgbt subplot in this drama DESPITE china's strict censorship laws.
Currently on episode 33 and I just had to rant about Fei Fei for a minute.
This girl literally brought her fiance to her workplace to work directly with his ex in an attempt to undermine and steal her position that she worked for years dedicated to. she knew he still had feelings for and was somehow surprised and anxious and blamed everyone but herself that it got messy and weird and they were seen together doing work related things.
It's so unfortunate because she was such a great character at first but of course they have to add stupid girls v girls conflict. I have so much respect for Li Dai that yeah they were rivals but they were also respectful and never played dirty. They knew what the enemy was and it was misogyny.
If lee do hyun and song kang aren't in this i literally don't even see a point. Bringing it back and having NO IDEA what happened to them when they left it all on a cliffhanger is absolute trash.
I'm such a fan of him! I'm looking forward to seeing him in a first male lead role in a full length romantic drama. He's excellent and so handsome. I can't believe he's so young!
I keep stumbling over him in various webdramas since watching extraordinary you and he always grabs my attention! I'm excited to see him progress in his career!
so far this drama has been PERFECT to me. PERFECT. Kang Ha Neul is absolutely mindblowingly incredible in this role and I may have never enjoyed ANY ML as much. I'm so curious to see how this develops and how the mystery progresses but ugh this is my favorite drama I've seen in a long time.
I'm really trying with this drama but the pacing just doesn't make sense to me so far. I'm hoping itll bring it together the second half. The concept of this is interesting but the writing and plot development is some of the most CLUMSY I have seen. What a shame to waste JCW on this drama I hope they can turn this around.
Me too. So many times. I cried when I found out he was the spy and a whole lot after that because I loved his sweet side and He really balanced the villain role perfectly with being lovable and the viewer seeing that he had redeeming qualities. Even as he was doing horrible things you saw his internal conflict in all of it and I really attribute 90% of that to Yi Long's acting. I'm glad they resolved it how they did I just wish we had gotten more concrete hope for him and Baoni.
I actually thought the dream part of this drama was minor and only helped to push the story and wasn't weirdly overused but overall I have VERY MUCH loved this drama. The actors are good but FAR and away the very best part of this drama to me was Chen Yi Long. Every single part of his acting ability kept this plot going and cohesive and a lesser actor would honestly have ruined this whole drama but his performance really made this noteworthy. I would LOVE to see him in more dramas and more of a lead role because while I loved the main couple and their chemistry and wad happy to see them together, I personally fell in love with Mo Nan and the second lead syndrome is strong. I still have the last two episodes to watch at the time of this review but as of right now I am extremely pleased with this drama and even though I'm not used to Chinese dramas in terms of dubbing or length I happily binged this show and loved every minute of it.

think it's fair to ruin his career when in my mind he was more of a victim than a perpetrator. He also apparently personally apologized in person to everyone on the production team. Not sure what else someone should do. https://www.scmp.com/magazines/style/celebrity/article/3129818/seo-ye-jis-4-biggest-scandals-explained-accusations-its
