Not immaculate saint Thara convincing Mark that she sent all the golden blood bearers to a sanctuary where they can run happily and carelessly free.
When she gave that excuse to Mark about their whereabouts felt like she was implicitly saying that those from centuries ago were reunited with the ones she encountered not long ago before Tong. Like, bruh! They're in the same holy place and Mark read in between the lines.
Miss ma'am, who are you trying to fool?

You meant "abroad" as a ticket straight up to heaven!
Is "abroad" the only excuse you have in your sleeve? Please be more convincing next time.

So, I understand that they want to tie up and torture Mark...but why took off his T-shirt?! 😁😁
Think about his shirtless handcuffed scene as a "Mark lost his armor – reference to ep. 10 – hence being topless, once again"...
Thara is too powerful to be beaten with that single armor (this as a metaphor to Tong's Pirates shirt Mark dressed) so Mark has to level it up to face the final boss. There's a reason for everything or we can find our own to make things less questionable.

(I copy pasted this paragraph as it was a response I left for someone else)

I really don't have an idea of how this is going to be solved. Can Thara die? Is that an option? Maybe they can…

If you don't know Thara is an immaculate saint.
I'm most certain she would try to fool holy water as she did with everyone around her – and the ones who actually believed her character till ep. 10. πŸ‘€

Girl, where have you been?
I missed you!

I was left emotionally drained!

An unfeeling, empty eternal existence, not something he'd wish upon Tong. If it does happen, I can only assume…
Exactly! 🀣🀣🀣

That promise felt more like:

Mark: "I'll never drink your blood, again."

Writer: "Promises are meant to be broken, mainly for the sake of noble reasons."

Personally the height of "Joss shown as straight up meat" was when he wore those two tight speedos and the frame was propously centralised over that area. Other than that, I don't find Joss's shirtless scenes as "thirst-traps" but well placed bits to show his great physique. Felt really plain to me.
On My Golden Blood May 21, 2025
Mark didn't turn Tong into a human cause he never asked for it, he was never clear about it. Plus, Mark was under Thara's rules till he finally broke free from her wing in today's ep.

Mark also thinks that being a vampire is more like a curse than a blessing so that possibility might've not crossed his mind. Most probably, if it had, he might've thought that Tong would lose his feelings and emotions – therefore his ability to love.

Tong, just ask Mark to turn you into a vampire...problem solved!

The difference between RL and fiction is that we can literally read in between the lines – in case it's not clear enough – and predict a character's destiny. IRL, we have Tharas deguised as uncanny women who charge a bill to make palm readings.
RL doesn't give us – mere mortals – psychic powers but reading fiction definitely does.

You just made me realise this! Cause Tong is literally a walking life fontain.
At very least, Mark's eyes could've turn golden to depict that his secret flower was watered by Tong.

What a missed opportunity! 😭

Nothing that is told or shown in a fictional piece is by chance.

Remember Tong's wish?
On My Golden Blood May 21, 2025
@polca I summon you!

Tong had his "baby-girl act" phase while he was nothing but a contryside spoiled naive 20yr old young man.

He had time to build up his character throughout a whole year when he finally faced danger – for the very first time – to which threatened his own life... It's undeniably clear that Tong had character development.

"He could've been a strong, emotionally complex bottom" – what's braver than choosing to die in order to protect the love of your life? Notice how Tong blames himself for all the wrong around him and just accepts that everything will turn alright if he accepts 'his fate' – the fate Thara predestined for him. Isn't he emotionally complex enough?

Bottom?! Tong's character had an ungrade to the last version available! Man can take the lead now!

Ep. 11 last scene was emotionally draining...

Feels like I want to cry but my body is suppressing the tears to flow...

What a splendid performance!

🌚You gave me mixed feelings with this comment, NGL. πŸ˜…It wasn't supposed to be "gothic cathedral at midnight"…
They have THAT alpha energy for a mafia/criminal series! 🀌🏾😌

How about Gawin as a villain/criminal and Joss as a detective/policeman...

I've been daydreaming with a plot like this for quite some time. I hope GMM recognises the great potential in JG to do more mature plots with them as leads.

Let’s just get this out of the way: This is a chaotic mess of a series. A glorious, glittery, over-saturated…
🌚

You gave me mixed feelings with this comment, NGL. πŸ˜…
It wasn't supposed to be "gothic cathedral at midnight" in the first place, cause Mark left that metaphorical state of mind to find the light in Tong. Tong is that divine light to Mark as therapy feels to someone who beat depression.
Tong is to Mark as that fresh breeze we feel in an extremely hot weather. The same breeze who gives us enough energy when we're overheating to the point of passing out. Tong's blood is to Mark the water we drink when we're dehydrating to death.
In the end, we've so see it through Mark's lens...

I so want Joss and Gawin in a mafia series! 😭❀️

How would he be aware if he never actually saw her killing the people? Mark along with Nakan and all other vampires…
I think Nakan didn't bother to tell Mark beforehand cause Thara placed him as her right arm. Moreover, Mark had a life depth with Thara so it'd be hard for Nakan to turn Mark to his side, in light of this reveling too soon 'the Thara' he knew to Mark would contrast to 'the Thara' who gave Mark a chance of life. Nakan had no other option but to tell Mark his side of the story cause he was cornered. He didn't want to do anyone a favor in the first place, nor was he collecting allies. Mark ended up believing Nakan cause he saw Tong's life at risk.

Also, I believe that Nakan just 'woke up' from his hatred for Thara when he tasted the golden blood. Cause I don't see sense in an emotionless vampire too feel like taking revenge on someone. This feels like from the very moment he saw the kid being drained to death by Thara, Nakan – as a human – felt like taking revenge on her. But then it turned out Nakan joined Thara's circle as a vampire. Till now, we don't know how this happened – maybe Nakan thought the closer to the enemy the better. But then he got numb even tho his memories still resonated is his mind – this for couple centuries to then taste the golden blood and start feeling again.

Before tasting Tong's golden blood, I see Nakan as a blood thirsty vampire who recognised a familiar scent in the first episode to then doggedly seeking for that same golden blood he may've first encountered ages ago.

You're making it seem like my reaction wasn't valid towards a fictional show... Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I try to understand it and respect it, even if they're far different than mine. Common sense is also discerning between reality and fiction and also recognising that the real intention of the scene, which I did. I think the main issue here is that people take this as politics, as something to be very serious about. Like c'mon let's have a good time debating on the flaws of the show too with a light heart.

Okay, some people say that they were laughing while watching the Tonkla's death scene. I wasn't. So I decided…
People are different as you mentioned – both physically and mentally – and in light of that they also respond differently according to any situation.
That scene made me recall Twilight when Edward abruptly shoved Bella to the wall, to begin with. Plus laughing it out throughout that scene was a very genuine reaction, as it was my very first time watching that episode. Then I finally got to comprehend and immerse myself into the real intention of the scene, after rewatching that same scene few times. Now, to me, Mark's healing bit was just a mess – I won't even go further on that as I explained it on my previous comment.

I'm just not a person to cry or feel moved with every drama. It just happens in few particular cases mostly in death scenes (which wasn't the case here with MGB) and in real story inspired shows.
