It's amazing how this series is getting me so delighted and invested in every single episode! Ark intentionally projected this series to be campy, as he mentioned it on his previous interview. After his confirmation to this purposeful overwhelmingly extravagant depiction of human sensations from a first voyage human-like 200 year old vampire I just got to comprehend it in a deeper sense. Mark isn't supposed to be feeling that by himself, we the audience were once as numb as him so busy with our daily routines we forgot to feel, never felt, or longed to feel "love" and all those sensations, or must I say "fevers" and "symptoms" from deeply loving somebody. We once had (platonical) crushes or still have them and that indeed can turn into a very welcomed bothering as it sometimes makes us perceive the world with brighter colors or in contrast that could turn into an overwhelming experience. However, to Mark those feelings are multipled by a hundred adding thunders of desperation to the equation as he literally craves his romantic interest. Mark's duality of perceiving Tong as his loved one but also as his prey could only be portrayed to perfection if exaggerated, so it is in MGB as this is explored in exquisitely poetic instants.

This is my review over episode 8.
Has been long since I've seen characters relieving themselves over their romantic interests. It gives the sensation that they're stripping of their senses and domain exposing their vulnerability to their alive in memory lover. It's like they're evoking their bodies too but all they can get is a mirage of the other one's being whilst their anxious and misleading hands delusionally reach for that foreign skin. Like a secretly timid but lustful calling for the other. Mark longed Tong's warmth on him as he was forced by his senses to leave his climax momentum to hold him back from draining Tong dead. That desire Mark felt alone in that bathroom wasn't a simple human-like experience, instead he was under some painfully overwhelming sensation provoked by that remaining sweet scent from his shirt which awaken his beast - so strong yet so vulnerable. Meanwhile, on that bathub there was a human called Mark and his inner Other Side diving into ecstasy. Tong shown that he's no longer afraid of Mark's Beast as he tamed it with love. In contrast, Mark feared as he could hurt Tong but the love within him spoke louder. Their intimate instant goes beyond the intertwining of two bodies, it states a big milestone and the maturing of their relationship. It's the confirmation of Mark's promise and Tong's trust in Mark. It's fascinating Mark and Tong's similarities as real soulmates. This goes up to their background stories, the way they're driven to each other and their powers as healers. Mark heals injuries and illnesses in humans and Tong heals vampires from their numbness and weak state. It's like both of them are the medicine for each other... ... Mark seems to neglect Tong's loved ones. It's by doing that he hurts him the most. He can act selfishly sometimes since he already broke Thara's will to not get close to Tong again. However, "the rules breaking" don't seem to apply to Tonkla after Thara's lecture about who Tong should be aware of. This was the time to keep Tonkla closer then ever. Mark didn't have to tell the whole truth, but at least not keeping things in the air and making it feel like Tonkla can be trusted could avoid many misunderstandings. Nakan, in his glory, knows when to move his pieces in his chess game. He's smart, collected and don't rush things. Mark on the other hand, lost his cool-headedness but won something greater....
Nakann is apparently creating armies of zombies who are also doing his eating and our poor Tonkala has just become…
I think it's pretty clear by now that Mark is indeed in love with Tong. Tong's blood was the reason for Mark to "wake-up" from his numbness but it was actually "awaken" that Mark could discern his true feelings.
There's nothing left for us to know about Mark's true intentions towards Tong.
What?? Sorry but he has chemistry with everyone but with Joss it's more than his previous partners. Script wise…
I'd love for Joss and Gawin to play in a dark criminal series (no SA/r*pe, no toxicity, no fragile masculinity). If they played as VERSE that would be interesting too.
here's my unpopular opinionthe director needs to acknowledge that Joss is a talented actor and not a piece of…
At a certain extent, I agree with you. There's too much emphasis over Joss' pelvis. Like, I already got it, Mark is a virile vampire but why does the undies are so tight, so bright or why does it purposely seems like they are outlining his parts. These undies feel like whole characters, stealing for attention, seriously. I think it'd be a nice alternative if the director chose a more discreet option (dark and a little bit larger undies).
Anyways, this sexualisation thing is not in vain, Joss is a sex symbol in Thailand. So it doesn't help his "modest, mindful and demure" profile.
Personally, the thing I find most problematic is the over sexualisation that Joss gets by his audience. Okay, this behaviour is fueled but one should be able to control their lewd impulses... Joss is indeed a great attractive man but he's so much more than that. I hope people can be able to see it.
I don't think the golden blood is something vampires can consume and then become super powerful after that. It…
Nakan already tasted the golden blood. We can assume he "woke-up" from his numbness too.
Why wouldn't Thara ask for Tong to give her a single drop of blood, then?
Mark and Tong seem so at ease with all that so much so they had time to build their relationship and live their honeymoon instead of fighting vampires.
Tong is literally a walking gold. Even his name means it. But it seems like he isn't in any actual danger.

"My left side has nothing right and my right side has nothing left."

I made a comment over your suggestion about Gawin's possible next role.
😏⭕️...
Are you into roleplays, by any means? 🌚

Mark has been bodyguarding Tong from who exactly?
🤣🤣🤣
But being persistent is the key! Even if it's in a single platform, I mean field.
😌
But one thing I can tell you is that my hard work is finally getting its signals. More PPL seem to join in my manifestation.
Tremendous is his power! I didn't get to prove mine, yet 🥲

🥲 🆘
Joss is the prove that if one manifest hard enough (and stalk hard enough) their dream can indeed come true.
I'll follow my master's principles, from now on.
