No offense to anyone else but Kim Nana in that last fit mogged every single person in the room...Lee Misook being casted in a grandma role in 2026 is insane to me, she is literally only in her 60s🤦♀️
Also Hayeong and Mr Coo deserved at least a hug, felt the teen couple got way more screentime than necessary when their relationship was already established. Oh well, it is what it is. Hoping to see Han Ji Hyun and Kwon Hyuk in more dramas in the future!
Wow ep 1 was killer!! So fun from the first minute. Bloodhounds 1 started off pretty slow establishing the world building etc but this one went straight to action. The bromance is just as alive, they integrated and established the supporting cast pretty well already. The villains seem extra nasty and even more sinister than the first part. Just hoping they dont become completely one note and cruel and have some moments of complexity too...
I don't see why you think body shaming is okay when it's about men. Men are allowed to not be super muscular and…
Why r u confusing having a naturally lean body type with calling out against being anorexic? Obviously body types r different and there's nothing wrong with that but the cdrama industry is notoriously known for pushing anorexic body standards and weight on both the male and female actors in their industry. U have to be incredibly naive to think a 190cm man in his late 20s can look this gaunt without adhering to an extremely unhealthy diet culture. Calling out this toxic diet culture isn't body shaming. Normalizing this by comparing this to people with normal body types just coz the actor "looks active and fit" on camera is the problem.
It's also about looking believable in roles. If you're supposed to play a convincing warrior then looking incredibly pale with no scars or signs of sun damage on the face is unrealistic. But i also said in my original coment that idol dramas have a certain market they're catering to so we can live and let live
I agree with the fact that generals have to embody the look of fierce warriors and it's tough to believe this when the general weighs less than the FL. But this is not on makeup and "beautifying". For eg. look at the generals from The Rebel Princess and Gone With The Rain, two of the most accurate depictions of generals who also didn’t need to look unattractive just to look the part of a fierce warrior. So both r possible. I think the problem is the extreme diet and weight loss culture in the idol drama industry to the point where generals don't look like generals anymore but frail fashion models who haven't spent a day under the sun. But again, these r idol dramas curated for a certain crowd so that point is valid too.
Ya i noticed that too...and turns out our theory about the bf cheating is true?! But maybe it's not the whole…
Alright!
Gosh this week's eps were so frustrating 😭 the leads were pissing me off. Chan waited too long to find out the whole truth before telling her and then expects haran to give him a chance to explain. We were right about haran finding it out herself and honestly im glad she did atp coz god knows chan would never bring himself to actually tell her himself. Chan seemed to be deluding himself about telling her, he seemed too scared to bring himself to say it which is why he kept postponing it to oh ill tell her after i have my whole memory, or ill tell her after the movie or after this and that...and there's Haran who keeps running away anytime something upsets her, worrying her family yet again without thinking about anything but her boy problems and personal trauma 😭 i mean i know she lost her bf 7 years ago but the other girls and grandma also lost their parents and family. Like writers, please give this girl some agency and a proper arc😭😭
They should've wrapped this up at least two episodes ago...now we're going to get a rushed ending for both chan and haran as well as hayeong and mr coo...🤦♀️🤦♀️ the other teo couples at least have their stuff figured out
Also we *still* havent gotten the mystery behind the explosion!! How ridiculous is this! Still no clue who sujin is in all of this or why she keeps behaving like a highschool brat
Do u think it will be a tragic ending? I really thought about it like i told u in earlier episodes but i dont think they will pull that anymore especially with the preview for the last episode. They'll probably meet up and go to their usual meeting spot and have a HEA and maybe chan's scarpel will be dealt with in an open ending manner. He might have some mild symptoms but nothing tragic
Honestly just hoping we get at least a hug between mr coo and hayeong since a kiss seems like too much to ask for with all this clutter😭😭 actually forget a hug too, just give me a confession from mr coo atp 😭😭
I like that these characters are actually complex for once. But within that context, I think i've changed my opinion about the characters in this drama. I thought they r good people and they still are, but my god are they frustrating and selfish, the leads especially. They just do what they want without thinking about the consequences and how it will affect other people. It really pissed me off this episode how haran just up and leaves in the middle of the night while hayeong is worried sick about her without bothering to tell her she needs to get away. This isn't even the first time. It's just a pattern with her atp. Anything upsets her, she vanishes with no trace. She did this for seven years when her first bf passed. I understand people have trauma but she seems to be the kind of person who also makes it everyone else's problem. Apologies if that sounds harsh, but it's really difficult to empathize with someone who takes no effort on their own to recover for themselves by themselves while also dragging their loved ones into their mess without stopping to think even once how it can affect these people who ultimately become collateral damage for no fault of their own.
Like i thought the core theme of this show was haran healing from her trauma but it feels like the writers just want to keep making her this agency-less tragic girlfriend who always needs a man to come to the rescue🤦♀️
Hopefully the final episode resolves these details tho i have no idea how...
The only bright spot for me this episode was yet again, seeing hayeong and mr coo. I love the symbolism in their story with the elevator as well as the sour candy. It makes perfect metaphorical sense too in a way because the elevator, that just happened to become their regular meeting place, symbolizes how both of them seem to contain their emotions without ever expressing them, while the sweet and sour candy is literally hayeong and taeseok personified xD
Loved that detail about the fact that he still remembers how she is the one who introduced the candy to him but she's long forgotten that and doesn't even like the candy anymore...hopefully that becomes another wakeup call for him to realize that time changes people, he doesn't have to be the only one stuck in that 19 year old boy's tragic circumstances and forever guilt...ugh how i'll miss these two and the tiny crumbs they've been giving since ep 1 🥹
I wish they gave more screen time and story development to the 2nd couple. Theirs is a melodrama by itself. Equally…
They deserve a whole spinoff or at least an independent drama with this exact dynamic and theme 😭 why do second leads always have better and more unique storylines than the leads ughhhh
he just couldn't do it... i don't think he would have told her. although the secret would make him feel more guilty…
Ya that's exactly it. He's too scared to reveal it. If she never found out herself it's very likely he wouldn't ever actually come down to telling her himself. And that's not fair to haran at all
My guy chan saying "i didnt get the chance to explain" in the preview had me majorly rolling my eyes..like dude had 7 years to tell her, dont give me that! Also the audacity of chae jong hyeop to look that pitiful at the end there wre? How is anyone supposed to upset at him even when he dearves it ughhhh. Hope haran doesn't yield easily...well there's only two eps left. Since we already got their dating era might as well move the happily ever after to the final episode for haran's sake?
Really bummed that mr coo and hayeong had barely any screentime in this epsiode. Even the teen couple and the grandparents had a great conclusion. Even chan and haran had a full fledged dating era! Justice for my hayeong and mr coo!! I hope they dont move *their* happily ever (and they better get one!!) to the final ep. Let's get a move on that kiss now mr coo! I know u have it in u!
Ya i noticed that too...and turns out our theory about the bf cheating is true?! But maybe it's not the whole…
Yaa me neither Dont want him getting any whitewashing. He still was a negligent partner...
Ya honestly duiin seems so annoying with the way she treated chan. Like im sorry but i have no sympathy for her one sided or not...seems like a really unnecessary character addition 😅 ooh u came up with same theory too? Ya honestly it's seeming like thats whay they're going to go with...idk it might come across much better in action but in words rn, I'm pretty let down by it ngl
Ohhh ya thats true thats a sensibke comparison. And your eight mr coo definitely likes hayeong and isnt being honest but i liked that he didn’t abuse her boundaries. That's way more of an honest act wven if he's being the annoying noble sacrificial lamb by denying himself of her. And i dont blame Chan. He's not a bad person. Just wish they didnt drag the core misunderstanding for so long coz in reality this wouldn't go well for most couples dont u think? But i like that they didnt make him perfect too. Theres too many green flag mls in kdrama land it's nice to see a complex character for once
Yaa exactly the character writing is the best part of the show. Oohh really that explaisn evryrhing coz there really is content enkugh for 16 eps...i really.hope they dont rush it either omg tho im guessing the secondary couples will all have it ughhh😭😭
Oh noo but these r the most crucial episodes...i'll text u my thoughts after this week and u can check it after u watch hahaha 😅
Shin hae sun seems to be typecast in romance dramas to always play the conventional idea of the "man" in the relationship if that makes sense. I personally would love to see her play someone less unhinged and less like the average kdrama writer's usual idea of "a strong independent female lead" but she is actually just someone with anger issues, a drinking problem and a really loud voice
Looking forward to the second couple in this drama tho!

Honestly, live and let live ig 🤷♀️
