Idk if it's just me but it feels like this show is being promoted a lot on social media amd youtube. Usually u dont see this for smaller budgeted mini dramas. The last one that had this was Absolute Value of Romance and that turned out to be one of the best this year for me so I'm really excited to check this out too...
Why did i wait so long to watch this?? That first episode alone could've been a whole movie. I felt so many things from excitement to fear to shock to disgust to sadness and again fear. Really excited to see the rest !!
Ahh so sad to see this end 😠totally unexpected find but I loved it from start to finish. The ending teases the possibility of a sequel but i wonder if they will do it and how long it will take if they do bring a s2? 🥹
Actually for action/mystery/horror/thrillers etc, the shorter the number and length of episodes, the better imo...if…
That's also true...if they planned it for 8 episodes from the beginning tho, i dont think it will be a huge problem. The problem is usually when they have to compromise after filming's already begun and then start cutting corners for any reason :(
why only eight ep? Is it’s just me or kdramas started having such small episodes count…Same with cdramas…
Actually for action/mystery/horror/thrillers etc, the shorter the number and length of episodes, the better imo...if they drag it for longer it can drastically affect the pace and not do much for the story either. If they designed this for 8 episodes from the beginning, then it will turn out great just like Weak Hero Class and The Wonderfools...
The main leads get together in ep 5. So there's not much left for me to watch in a romcom that i was hoping would have more romance development haha...but that's on me, not the drama. Since this is less of a traditional romcom and more about public health doctors, there's more story left to explore in that area. I'm just usually done with a show once the main leads have mutually confessed hahha
The ERPB is essentially a small group of unelected individuals deciding who deserves punishment, what punishment…
I agree with your core points. And i do wish they had an episode that had the erpb directly face the negative consequences of their vigilantism. I'm glad they acknowledged the public questioning their authority on the grounds of nepotism and personal vengeance tho. But that's also where fictional immunity benefits this drama. It's an action drama simply set in this particular environment.
I also dont believe democracy is the answer to everything in every context. If that were the case, then vigilantism wouldn't still exist. If we look at the world at large too, democracy has equally created newer problems that didn't exist before in places without it.
So as far as this drama is concerned, it's best experienced as a fictional adrenaline fest that raises some much-needed uncomfortable truths and questions that may or may not make people think. And if it can provide 10 episodes of catharsis to the victims of bullying and abuse, students and teachers alike, who feel powerless under the present system, then that's also a very noble accomplishment for this drama and its makers. Because that's ultimately what fiction is about. Bringing temporary comfort with the escape it provides.
Why is the whole idol industry in this drama haha...not even 5 episodes in and already spotted meng ziyi, chen duling and the cast list says even lu yuxiao and li yunrui r in this? Wow...cool to see how just a few years later, they're all big stars!
Pls someone cast her and Jing Boran in an angsty yearning-filled romance haha. Tired of seeing her be cast opposite younger actors when there r so many age adjacent castings that could be fire on screen
