If I could exactly point and eloquently express what it is exactly,I would write a paragraph.Let's just say I don't find him or his behaviour charming.It is strange as I am a pride and prejudice kind of girl (meaning I don't mind a rude or rough around the edges lead here and there at all,if anything I like it!) but this one seems off to me.

Episode 7 and I still don't like the ML.I like the feeling of the drama and how it's made but I can't cheer for the main couple because he just annoys me so much (very unpopular opinion,I know).So thinking about dropping sadly.Very mixed feelings (and the fact that I like the SML doesn't help either :/ )

It is tagged as comedy...I didn't see any comedy and I found the movie and especially the pacing weird.

It's not just kdramas,other small countries occasionally do it as well.Also,I think most of them don't really have ad breaks in the middle of the programme as I wrote again so they advertise in the actual thing.Lots of shows on Netflix are produced or co-produced by Netflix and they get the money from there.Also,there are shows from cable television worldwide that Netflix has paid to feature on their platform.Even the shows on free air tv might have ad breaks in their counties but you don't get to see that.Now the reason why they can get so excessive could be because S.Korea is highly consumerist?It's a wild guess since I have never been there but they often give me the impression that they have more consumerism than European countries for example,but again I can't be sure.

What does it have to do with popularity?How do you think television makes money?They are selling air time to advertisers.The more popular the programme,the more they have to pay.So they either have ad breaks or they advertise in the show (or both).Netflix doesn't need to do that because it makes money from it's subscriptions and I assume cable TV in the US works similarly. But most of the world doesn't use cable TV or it isn't as popular. How do you think a broadcaster on free air will earn the money?

It's a default for jdramas to be under 8.0.I will never solve that mistery as comments in the comment section are usually positive...who knows

They make money from sponsors?If they don't have any ad breaks in the middle,I think it's perfectly logical as long as it isn't excessive (like it was in the Eternal Monarch,god that was bad).

I don't think the issue is him being beneath her as a person.It looks like she is financially more than secure and is what one would call high maintenance woman. It's logical for her to assume that he is not there even though she doesn't know his backround,I mean he is doing a bunch of small jobs. In real life this would hardly work,it's not about the woman expecting to be treated by the man or being a gold digger. It's about wanting to have the same lifestyle.A couple cannot be divided in two worlds.

Tbh I am having a hard time enjoying this romance because I still dislike the ML.I get it that the FL isn't perfect either,she is a snob and not the most kind at first glance be she is constantly picked about it,especially by the ML. The ML is patronising and annoying,I've met men like this and I don't find it cute.Plus,all I see is the ML being praised which is even more annoying actually. I understand that both are meant to become better and I am usually a sucker for pride and prejudice type of couples but something about how this one is written seems off to me.

Apparently there will be relationship drama next week and I imagine he will step in as always. Like others have suggested,at this point I hope he is involved in the illegal gambling and that we haven't been suffering his existence for no reason.

OK,at first I didn't mind but now I don't like that I watched half an episode about the bracelet drama.They wanted to combine comedy,mystery and young love but at this point the relationship stuff is unnecessary imo and the SML just won't stop (seriously,what the hell boy?!).I see why some people are dropping but I'm still curious so I'll keep watching. I can't say it's bad since I find it somewhat entertaining but there are some seriously bad writing choices,plus there are other hyped dramas rn.
