Are you talking about Yul?I keep waiting for that guy to become an interesting character, but aside from having…
I agree,he seems bland but I am starting to see that this is the point of him, bland - rule abiding - good student (until something happens perhaps?). I am still never going to like as much as the ML,mainly because well...the actor isn't as charismatic (I don't mean to sound mean here) but I felt we had a moment there and that I am beginning to understand him better.
When you are not a fan of the SML because you like the ML so much, but can also understand the pain of unrequited love...I just felt for him at that moment in the tavern, everyone dancing and him sitting there alone, remembering
I am probably dropping this,I just can't bring my self to watch new episodes as I find it messy and boring. To be fair though, perhaps it's because of another drama airing rn which is just too good,so I will try and come back to see what how these idiots (the leads) ended up.
Come to think of it, I haven't seen any female mages in Songrim or Cheonbugwan. Are they not allowed to train…
I have noticed that females seem to be a bit more respected than in the actual historical dramas but yes,the tone is very much still medieval (A bit like game of thrones? A fantasy but still supposed to take place a long long time ago). Perhaps they find females from prestigious families and males training together completely inappropriate as it could start rumours.
Wait,is part 2 not going to be a continuation of part 1? Why are people talking of prequels and spin offs here? Has anything been announced? Also,I can't stress enough how excited I am for this drama. This just goes beyond my casual kdrama love, this is huge! This is a whole new world they have created there, like those blockbuster films...my friends,I AM HYPED.
I don't know what you're all about,Uk is likable and gorgeous,he definitely is the one ML! Yul is very clever though,I'll give him that. I also love the Crown Prince scenes with Mu Deok - gold!
Am I the only one who's noticed how respectful are the males towards the females in this drama? I personally don't remember a single violent hand grab in this one.
I already watched Jae Wook previous dramas and feel nothing, but here I realize he's a damn hottie.
I've noticed that while some actors might look relatively plain in a modern setting, they look stunning in historical costumes and vice versa (but the latter is more rare). I suppose it has to do with one's features and body type.
