This was indeed a superb drama. One of the best this year (even by the end of the year this one will still be memorable)
I can't believe I felt sorry for Wanning, when she killed her own father. Looks like she wanted to be loved, but never found love in her life. She was despicable tho, she killed many people (even her own father) to achieve her goals. Her ending and SYR's ending weren't deserved. She, and SYR, should've stayed alive. Both seem how the country was getting prosperous. Wanning should've seem how SYR stayed crazy over XFF, and SYR should've seem XFF being happy with XH.
The last 10 minutes of the last episode were so unnecessary. How did XH even stay alive? Also, why Wen Ji and Lu Ji had to die? The plot of Cheng's army's going crazy there was added just to kill those two? Even if the plot was there, what's the need of killing them at the end of the drama? If it weren't for the special episode, I would've been left with the same way A Journey to Love left us, with our imagination running wild. For me, XH did, indeed, come back. But I could've thought that XFF was delusional again. The special episode explained everything, so imagining things were not need, thankfully.
Other than this, I truly loved this drama. It was a thrill ride, and it will stay as a memorable drama in my mind. I hope to see WXY and WJY doing a drama together again, their chemistry is so good😍
Obviously nothing clears her mistakes, she's done many terrible things and no one deserved what she's done.
She's doing her vengeance. I think she believes that she suffered cause of her country. So she probably wanna change everything and put her brother on the throne. Maybe he saved her or something. Anyway, nothing excuses her of what she's doing
I feel so, so, soooo sorry for Wanning. I never expected that I'd feel like this towards her. She suffered a lot, really. Having miscarriages (that she did, cause she didn't want to have a child of her country's enemy), and those babies were made out of rxpx... and was even diagnosed as infertile after she came back... And now, Shen Yuring designed a plan for her to marry someone else, to make the baby's father someone else... him, the person she loves... When she finds out that she's actually not pregnant, a baby whom she thought was a miracle, she'll freak out
I already feel so sorry, even after everything she's done, no one deserves to live what she's lived
This will get interesting... after few episodes... You should give it a try..
I was taken aback when I saw Fan Sizhe (I forgot the actor's name) as the ML and Song Yi as the FL. I can't really see Sizhe as a ML so I believe it'll be too strange for me while watching it😂 I won't get used when I start it, also about the fact that I remember them as siblings 😂

17, 19 and 30. My favorite episodes so far The dialogues between XH and JL are therapy. And she was wearing his clothes SHE WAS WEARING HIS CLOTHES!!!! We started with his cloaks, now she wears the whole set😭😭😭 XH when he saw her with his clothes sent me happinessssssss I love this drama.
This will get interesting... after few episodes... You should give it a try..
Now that I'm on the 9th episode I get what you're saying. I have no respect for Xu Xiao as a father, if I were XFN, I'd be filial, but my heart would def scream something else. Xu Xiao is too scheming, even with his own kids. It's quite impressive how he was able to conceive 2 kind hearted sons
