In my opinion not really because there important parts and mini storylines that you can miss from skipping episodes
You're right but again, most of the times mini storylines are the same in Makjangs and there's lots of flashbacks that makes up for the skip. I've downloaded "Man in Veil" ages ago but ony seen some first and last episodes and I'm trying to watch that now so I don't want to watch its sequel scene by scene as well.
Full of plot twists with a non-linear story that's surprising at times but I can understand why some people wouldn't like it. All these non-ending cat and mouse play can be boring. Also there's not much difference in both sides' methods. The villains kill, steal, cheat, kidnap and torture but so do the goodies. Not much morallity to cheer for!
In my opinion, this has been great so far. The romance feels a bit stale or I don't know if that's how to explain…
Agree about romance. For me, in Hong Ju's case, it's an one-sided several centuries old obsession that add only more to her competitive and stubborn nature than romantic notions. Actually except when she becomes physical, I like it. On the other hand, Rang's and mermaid's story doesn't seem in tune with the whole story, it's as if they'd written the script already, then thought to add a romantic interest for him in shape of the shop assistant. I don't know about the remaining half of drama but for now it's only been used as more comic situations (with all those bad relationship advices or "Seafood" scene) than a serious love plot. š¤
