I've just watched until ep 20, my fav character so far in this is the princess. She's kind and calm, and not spoiled at all. Although I don't like Xiao Wanzi's character, I've to admit that she plays the character of street performer well. Except for the fight, I really like it when she fights in ep 1, but then after she marries she suddenly seems weak (?). I understand if they want to make it so Mei Shiqing saves her but it just doesn't seems to align with her character in ep 1, bc she's supposedly to be stronger than average male. Besides that, I think her mentality is quite align, I mean she's simple-minded bc well, she doesn't really have to think much in her daily life other than performing to get money. So I can understand her way of thinking, she wants to save him and so she did. She thought the hero just goes around and that's why she did that too, so she doesn't actually know that he's very calculating in his action. Actually, Xiao Bao is the same as her. He's very simple and only slightly smarter than her. He's in a community so he's more bounded to rules unlike Xiao Wanzi. Mei Shiqing and the princess is more alike, but the difference in their treatment is he indulge Xiao Wanzi while the princess tries to teach Xiao Bao. So I'm guessing that's why her action is much more unrestrained as compared with Xiao Bao, Mei Shiqing indulge her instead of trying to teach her so she can better understand the politics around the noble community. There's a part where she heard Mei Shiqing talks about salt, and then when she goes to the poor people community she sees how it is FOR the poor people. After that, she did understand better about Mei Shiqing opinion and the poor community opinion, I think that shows she CAN make the connection and is teachable.
Guilty pleasure! I am unexpectedly enjoying this show way too much. Park your brain outside the door and just…
I agreeππ I've only seen up to episode 2 now, but it's very entertaining so far and people would enjoy it much more if they just go with the logic of the drama.
Right? I was so angry when she did that. How can she backstabbed the girl who never harmed her ever or did anything…
Yasss!!!!! Zhang ming rui is one of the green flag in cdrama, he didn't try to ruin anyone's relationship, and is very clear on his own feelings. I really like that he really didn't actually give any hope to that girl, she follows him around and he just thought of her as a friend and treats her nice like the gentleman he is. I thought he will end up with that girl that he had a crush before but when he rejected her, that's so sad but also understandable. I really want Luo zhi's sis in law to get out of that relationship, but when it turns out she's pregnant, I just know that she'll stay no matter what, which frustrates me a lot but, I guess people make choices. And when that friend said that she thought Luo zhi would understand and help with her relationship with the cousin, I mean like, that's her relationship, why would Luo zhi got involved in that messy drama that she create herself.
Just finished watching it, and it's really great. I haven't read the novel though. Both of the leads were reasonable people, well, mostly since this is still a drama so there must be some wrong decisions along the way too. I do agree the ending feels a bit rushed. I still don't like that friend Ding Shuijing because she doesn't even feel guilty for revealing all those secrets to the male lead. I mean it's still okay if she was upset with the female lead for keeping that secret, but personally in my opinion that didn't make her action of revealing it to the male lead. It's not like the things that she hides have anything to do with Ding Shuijing like betraying her or anything. So I don't understand her reasons for revealing those secrets to the male lead, I like that even the male lead asks her back on why she reveals her friend's secrets. But since they're still in college, so I guess this may have to do with her development. I still don't agree though with this part, they could have at least made her apologize for doing that. For me, it's a matter of principles. If someone did that to me, I will not do anything bad to her, but consider that friendship over. I can perfectly understand the female lead introvert personality and how she likes to monologue most of the time instead of saying it to the person, she reminds me of my older sister when she was in high school. It frustrates me but as the episodes go by, she learned how to be more open with her thoughts like with her roommate so I guess it's fine. The roommate is great, I think she fits the female lead perfectly. She respects the female lead boundary, I feel like that might be the reason the female lead is more comfortable with her instead of Ding Shuijing. Zhang Ming Rui made me sad, but I like his character. I'm happy he got a girl who actually fell for him first.
Just going to put it here that the scene that made me continue is the first scene when Esther is narrating her life in the fairy realm in ep 1. When she said with much enthusiasm that she's all alone in her arbiter hall but she doesn't feel bored and when she got bullied but still said she got friends, I'm like what the heck *cries* this girl is such a happy-go-lucky girl. How can they bully this poor girl? TT
So Love Like the Galaxy, Alchemy of Souls, and Love Between Fairy and Devil has all concluded. Though AoS S2 will…
LOL, I've also finished watching all 3 dramas. I wish LLTG and LBFaD got a little more episodes though. Love the ending for both dramas but it's just not enough TT. Right now I'm planning to continue immortal samsara because I've heard they said that recent episodes are good, I stopped it for a while in ep 27 before.
their hottest kiss was the one before DFQC left to go kill Tai Su. Can we have those kind of longing kisses in…
HAHAHAHAHAH that open eye thing only works for the first kiss, but when they continued with that even after many kisses, *facepalm*, glad we got kisses that show both partners are into it in this drama
Si ming is soooo cool and each scene with her in, she just draw my attention.
really wish the drama 'siming' will cast her and changyuan. Her acting here is memorable. She didn't even show up that much. Most of what we know is from XLH and still, I am in awe when she shows up.
The kiss in ep35 was so hot though (need to pause, to process, and to replay again and again), the longing in…
I feel like that's what her master siming is trying to say with all the love and fate thing. Fate can't be changed but love runs separately from it. That CH scene broke me a little. He already knew how much XLH loves him, but it doesn't mean that it will not hurt him. XLH is quite mean if we see it from CH's perspective T.T . I'm glad we got a sensible sml who knows his limit and is still true to his principles.
