My first time ever watching a vertical drama, or even watching the leads on-screen! Omg have i missed out!! I already want to re-watch!
Saw this drama everywhere on youtube and tiktok and decided to check it out and Mama Mia was this a DELICIOUS SURPRISE! Tingzhou is such a dreamy Male hero, he was sorched with power and sex and such charisma that he took my breath away. How he waited for her all this years, like he knew in his soul she would come to him one day, mannnn!
All of my friends gushed about how gorgeous Song Kang is but i gotta just mention how absolutely mezmerized by the actress playing Do do-he!!! I have never seen her in any other drama before, i totally got a girl crush for her......ahhhh
I just wanted to mention that Turkey have done a new drama based on Boys over Flowers Franchise that is currently airing right now, its called "Duy Beni" and can also be found with eng subs in youtube. Its not a full adaptation but only based on Boys over Flowers, it is very likely that it was inspired by F4 Thailand because so many similar stuff and themes gets picked up in "Duy Beni".
What i also find interesting about it is that they have blended Thyme and Ren into ONE in a strange way and done the same with Gorya and Talay. It looks really good.
I love 2018 version, although i thought the card game was slightly ridiculous and i am NOT fan of the second couple…
That`s totally fine. We all have our own preferences. We can prefer whatever for whatever reasons we like.
I do get what you mean about toxic drama, i enjoy watching those tropes as well because i get a kick out of the unpredictable part of it, it gets me so excited. Nowadays they don`t make dramas like these.
And yes, i recommend "The Love Proposal" as well, that one is done so well and have that quality of flavor and drama you might enjoy. It has a lot of romance and angst.

Don`t even mention the card game. I remember how me and my friends all fell quiet when the card game was introduced in Meteor Garden, we just felt so disappointed that the chinese version took away the one important part in the storyline that made it F4. My friends dropped it, i at least finished it and found myself still enjoying it for Daoming Si and Shancai.
But darn it, that card game was so cringe i can`t.
This lakhorn is a rare treasure. Its so charming and very funny. Mark & Kim have one of the best on-screen chemistries ever, love them so much as Kob and Bua.
I remember before Kluen Cheewit even aired how worried me and my friends were for their on-screen chemistry in their upcoming drama. I mean, they literally act as siblings in real life. His way of putting his hand on her head, like a brother does to a sister. I remember being shocked however when i saw them stepping into the shoes of Jeerawat and Sathit- their chemistry looked explosive!
That made them even greater actors for me. The magic and their talent into turning into their characters entirely.
I am excited for this one, wonder how they will do in a rom-com.
Gotta be honest here, I have very low expectation on Bright's acting, especially I hated how 'stiff' he is as…
Thyme`s character is originally called Tsukasa in the manga-series and he is a veryyyy iconic character in Asia-dramaland. So many actors have portrayed this character, among them the superstars Lee Min-ho, Jerry Yan and Matsumoto Jun.
Bright knew the second he got the role of Thyme that the worlds expectation was on his shoulders. He knew this would be (probably the most) important role in his career. You can see that he gave it his all with the help of the director`s guide into the complexity of Thyme.
Thyme is so many things mixed together. He is a hot-tempered high-chair tyrant. He is a guy that sees other peoples lives as a fun game to play with for his own satisfaction of gaining more power through fear of others.
But then there is this other love-sick part of him, that is slowly getting cramped in his high-chair. He is unable to breathe, to really live...because he has no idea of the human side of happiness. That is what the Tsukasa character needs to convey in all the versions of Boys over Flowers and Bright did a great job in nailing it as Thyme in the thailand version.
i'm quite hesitant to start this one. cuz i remember not finishing the chinese version but loved the korean version…
I do recommend this version. For one, it has got only 16 episodes. Every episode is filled with symbolism and stronger meanings in every scenes. It uses the classical tropes like Beauty and the Beast more strongly...every F4 member has their own flowers that speak to their own characters. Gorya is a shooting star to all the Four Flowers (as you hear in the song of "Shooting stars".
This drama really speaks up about destiny, hope, transformation, redemption and is very anti patriarchal. The writers took this story to a whole new level. It should not be missed.
It is not that often i enjoy watching thai lakhorns but this one totally took me by surprise by how good it was. Usually thai dramas tend to drag the episodes with unnecessary scenes and characters near the end but THE LOVE PROPOSAL was done in such a thoughtful but entertaining way.
It is so intense, beautiful and sexy...Tre did such a awesome job as Time who is my favourite character in this whole show. The only character that got things done in this drama, he took my heart by storm with how brave, fierce and passionate he was. Ahhhh more Male Leads should be like him!
I was watching F4 Thailand again (like for the 50th time) and really looked into Gorya`s journey of falling in…
Beautiful description of Gorya`s love.
We wanted her to love him back so badly.I am glad she fell in love with him. I am glad her heart chose to be with Thyme when she herself didn`t even know it. GoryaThyme forever.
