So far this is a pretty cute drama in my opinion. Not amazing but it's still a nice drama to pass the time with.…
Totally agree! There's the "scared of the dark" backstory but nothing that really makes you attached or fall in love with him as a character.

Yes!! I started with Taiwanese dramas, and even after so many years, I still love them. They provide a sense of comfort, and is also great for learning Mandarin. I've grown really attached to a lot of Taiwanese actors and even though the storylines are often cliche and might not be for everyone, they bring me so much joy. Definitely agree with My Lucky Star and Meet Me @ 1006 being some of my favourite Taiwanese dramas. Here are a few more!

-Back to 1989: fun, time-travelling/mystery/romance filled drama that I grew so so attached to.
-In a Good Way: a feel-good, coming of age story following a group of friends in college during the 1990s.
-Lion Pride: ugh! so underrated. a fun mystery/romance drama that was just a lot of fun.
-Moon River: one of my fav idol dramas! a fun take on the BOF type of storyline.
-Murphy's Law of Love: a light-hearted, beautiful love story.
-Bromance: top-notch acting and romance.
-Love Myself or You: cooking + romance = so much fun!!

This will probably be an unpopular opinion. Now first things first. EP12 was STEAMYYYY. We can't deny that. But…
Completely agree! It always felt like Xiao En only liked Ao Ran because he was the main lead of the novel, and we didn't really explore their relationship too much. It was a big jump that came out of nowhere, and while I think their chemistry is getting better, I still feel like she has better chemistry with QingFeng?

Such a nostalgic series and I'm so glad that Netflix in a few regions at least has the majority of the dramas from the series. I started watching as a SpeXial and Fahrenheit fan and even though the dramas are objectively not the best, they are still such a fun watch and you really do grow to become invested in the characters. So many famous Taiwanese actors nowadays got their start/early career by starring in the Zhong Ji series, from Jiro Wang, to Lorene Ren, to George Hu. I still have yet to watch The X-Family and any of the new installments after Angel N Devel, but love these shows nonetheless. I've been rewatching bits of KO3anguo on Netflix and all the feels are definitely coming back.

Wow that just hurt me so much. I'm half-way into ep 8 and the sister/villainess finally made me feel some ounce…
Ahaha, I love your commentary! I had almost the exact same thoughts watching episode 8. IMO, QingFeng and Xiao En have way better chemistry and more enjoyable scenes than her and AuRan. Also, ahhhhh the mystery resolving around QingFeng is so intriguing!! #JusticeForQingFeng

is this good? i'm tempted to start it
Pretty enjoyable! Some episodes are little long and draggy in my opinion but I'm having a good time watching. First episode is a lot of background context, so I would encourage to stick it out for at least the first three episodes. Only one episode is released a week though :(
