This week episode was kind of boring, I don't know if it's because of the songs but yeah 😬
I haven't watched the full ep yet but having watched the performances, the first two were so boring for me, and I love the voices in the first group, and yet the execution of that song was really plain to me, it's such a shame, third fourth and fifth group brought things up a bit for me though, fourth and fifth especially
The comment section is much better when you block the troll. Stop replying to them. It's what they want.
EXACTLY, they are out there spamming and clogging the post section with bs, when I just come here to read different kind of opinions that have some substance on it and not just a troll shtposting for fun, just block people, it got pretty clean for me too
Honestly, off the top of my head I can't think of a single Xianxia that didn't do the the whole, one of the pair…
given how the book untamed was based on gave them a very straightforward and concise happy ending, you could say they truly put the same formula to that drama as well and that's how the ending "changed" from the original cuz, honestly, with the cdrama being about friendship there was not need to separate them at all, so maybe you are onto the right track and there is something like that... it reminds me a bit how kdramas years ago would also always end on the main leads separating for x motive by the end and encountering each other by 5 minutes before the ending... it seemed a trend then too, honestly, I find it anticlimactic as hell
This is the first drama i've seen that every single man is either weak, evil, lustful or an idiot (of course except…
I disagree with you and that's okay as we can differ in opinion, I'm just letting my opinion here for balance for anyone who hasn't seen the show, the way I see it, everyone has flaws as it should be and both leads, ML and FL, have been shown to rely on each other equally so far, granted I haven't finished watching but I'm on episode 26 and this still holds true.
Even male characters that started bad (I won't say who cuz it would be a spoiler) have been shown to be able to grow and become determined which is no sign of a weak nor a fool man. To accept you are wrong and go try change your ways and grow takes a lot, especially when they live in a society where others would indulge and encourage their wrong views.
The show focus on people needing others and that's why no one character is a god or goddess, they all come together and pass through obstacles together, they wouldn't be able to do it alone, that's what I like a lot from this show so far.
wow this comment section got heated huh... anyway, anyone knows if it is confirmed that there's gonna be a second season? the show being on netflix gives me pause tbh, I've been burned by netflix too many times with shows cancellations
I haven't finished yet. I'm at episode 83 and I just want to say it's so well written. Each character is so well done, it's insane. You see every side of everything and.. just... wow... I'm really impressed, more when this is a daily drama... when do we have this quality in these type of drama? ALMOST NEVER.
I LOVE almost all storylines here expect one that I fast-forward but all others I watch, that happens so rarely... I still find it hard to believe.
I just wanted to say this, if you are on the fence and reading this, give this show a chance and see for yourself. It's really insightful. I had a violent parent too, and while the consequences for my sister and I were a little more... I lack the word to explain it to be honest... in short we are both dealing with anxiety and in therapy but my mother also isn't a monster, a lot of shows vilify violent parents and while they are WRONG, so wrong (and that wrongness differs in levels as how violent they are)... they are sick, they have a problem, it doesn't excuse them... in the least, but they are also not monsters... sometimes it's hard to see that, but humans... we are that complex... in my case, she hasn't treated it yet so my sister and I decide to stay away... we've tried, we've really tried but it's a matter of BOTH parts and I like how this drama shows that... I like how there's denial at first and difficulty, it doesn't come easy to see you need help, but it was nice seeing a different outcome here... I don't expect my own mother to do the same because hope can be a very toxic thing and I'm at a point I've decided to accept reality and just deal with it but it's nice seeing it at least on the screen...
That's why most of the book fans got mad because Madam Tai's character was totally changed from being the wisest…
well that sucks, I understand why fans were mad... I literally don't know why they decided to do that change though, as it took more than it actually gave but oh well... I guess that's why good book adaptations are so rare, apart from that I'm really loving the Xu family so I guess that's why it also became so painfully obvious how they ruined that character
Everyone in their central family has become so nice and they had actual character development (which is so rare and really nice to see), but old Madam Xu seems to stay muddled to the end... I hope not, but we are nearing the end and I still find it baffling how gullible and recklessly she acts... it's such a waste of a spot tbh...
I personally would have enjoyed it more if they had put someone that can actually be of guidance, someone insightful and badass as the mother figure to both leads... it would have been so refreshing... the actress is doing a good job but the character she's been given *sigh* it's just a shame in my opinion
most people focusing on the mls while I'm here just enjoying Sohyun's acting, also I hope her alliance with Moyong holds true and deepends, I love seeing those two on my screen
I'm not surprised tbh, but I had a hope they would just merge them... but I read someone say it was Soyong plus the chef merged together since she got her inner voice back and now it's just the chef going back to his body, I can live with that ig... regardless the acting in this was AMAZING
Three episodes in and I'm really enjoying the journey. The four leads are unique, interesting and likeable, which doesn't happen often. Even some support roles shine through, like his sister, and make you want to know more about them too.
Also, NO LOVE TRIANGLE! should I make a party or something, I feel this needs to be celebrated
I'd rather say that she had to hold her poise in Stranger than the fast skill improvement. She had it already.…
Yeah, you're right, it could have been lots of reasons. The direction too, maybe they told her to always put the same face, which is a shame tbh, that role was a really bad introduction to this actress, but well, now with this one, she's showing everyone how far she can fly
This drama is so good. I was reluctant at first cuz I really hated Hyesun's acting back in Stranger, she always had the same face but here, wow, she really grew as an actress in so little time. I'm really surprised, she's doing an AMAZING job.
I'm gonna start praying for this to have a HE. I should have waited but then if I wait I would miss the good bits cuz I wouldn't watch them so... but so far, I like this. I'm at episode 7 and both the leads are competent and smart... both actors are doing a good job. The second lead couple is cute too, which doesn't happen often. A really good drama to just sit back and just enjoy. Let's see if it keeps this energy (please let it keep this energy)
I'm probably overthinking this, but is this a reflection of the stress we have in our current world? ie people…
You're totally right. There are some people out there that actually like watching sad movies because it's cathartic for them though but, personally, it just makes me sad... and I already have so many things to be sad about, so yeah, I think the same as you. We are at our limit so in our spare time, we just want to feel happy.
I find hilarious the way sad endings have us all traumatized. I really don't believe this kind of drama will have a sad ending but yeah, I'm waiting too until I know for sure
I'm really enjoying this which was a nice surprise, I was so ready to be bored and disappointed but it's quite the opposite. Kudos to the actress for making her male disguise so believable and to the ones that hired her for the role.
