For a short drama, this one wasn't so bad, I've seen worse. However, I couldn't take it seriously, I was cringing and laughing half of the time. So, I would recommend it, but have in mind that it has many flaws.
Kudos to FL, her personality was not very "ancient china", but I liked it.

I'm not xianxia fan, but I enjoyed this drama very much. Especially HMH and LYX chemistry, their kisses were fire.
Kudos for the many moments this drama made me laugh.

Just 5 minutes into the drama and there is already a r*pe scene...
Someone tell me if I'm wrong, because I didn't continue after that scene, but the fact that the FL was coerced into sleeping with the ML it's considered sexual abuse. So... nope.
I love revenge dramas with a strong FL, but I draw to line with SA, especially between the leads.

This was so silly, but a good kind of silly. I never got bored, I liked Chuxia's personality and the chemistry between the leads was great.
If you want something light and funny to watch, this is perfect (even better if you want a couple that kiss a lot).

I'm so frustrated, especially with the FL, he I can understand, his traumatic past won't make him the best at human relationships, but she's sometimes so dense I want to yell at her. What I'm worried about is her indirectly hurting him, because it would just create problems later, if you know what I mean.
I know it won't be her intention and that she's protecting her heart because she knows her status is not enough for her to be with him, I understand her, too.
What I can't deal with is their lack of communication, because all of this would resolve with an honest talk.

Sorry, I need your help. I've been reading the novel, I'm currently at chapter 60 and after this scene (below), I don't think I can handle the miscommunication.
Could you tell me when they clarify their feelings, or at least, when do they talk about what they want from each other?
I'm impatient and both of them are blind, and I know this lack of talk could last the entire novel.

In which episode Wei Shao stop hating Manman? I mean, when does he start to treat her better?
I refuse to read the novel, I know Wei Shao is not a green flag, but in the novel he's horrible, so I want to give the drama a try, but I can't stand when the ML treats the FL badly for many episodes.

Does Manman let Wei Shao mistreat her? or does Manman fight back?

Does Wei Shao take concubines?

-I read somewhere that the FL is kind of a tomboy, I mean, I know she disguises herself as a man, but I have a little problem with "tomboyish" FL, they usually are dense, reject femininity, and they are a bit dumb and stubborn, so I'm worried. Is the FL the kind of tomboyish girl that makes us readers feel frustrated often?
-Is there a love triangle? I also read that some people wanted the SML, I'm not sure about this fact, so I'm asking.
-Is the FL happy at the end? Or is it more like she changed her dreams for the bigger picture? If you know what I mean.
