I know I'm not the only one worried about the subs. I hope they'll be "ok" at least, after reading the novel I count the days for the drama but even my excitement can't beat mango and their horrible subs.

Maybe I'm the unpopular opinion, but this drama was just meh, the same old story just another font. I mean, I wasn't expecting something new, even less from a short-length drama, but at least a drama with its own flavor, if you know what I mean.
Not so bad to drop it but not so good to remember it either.

Yeah, I read Little Cardamom (Shao Hua Ruo Jin) and I liked it, I'm currently reading Golden Age Legitimate Fei (Sheng Shi Di Fei) and so far I'm enjoying it, but to me 450ish chapters are too much so I'm in a break (I know, there are novels even longer, but I recently started with chinese novels. Before, I only read korean novels or western books). Maybe I'll read another novel meanwhile.

It was good, kinda boring in the second half but it kept me entertained so if you want a simple mystery with a bit of romance to kill time, this one is a good option.

Something I really don't like is when in the novels the ML possessiveness reaches even his kids, I mean, I don't care about other people but his kids? Being jelous of your child is lame, I can't take the ML serious anymore when this happens🙄.
Yeah, I know he's kinda yandere and that type of character does not care about anyone other than the person who is the object of their obsession, but he was fine before, he seemed to be the kind of ML that would care for his kids because they were also the kids of the woman he loves, now after this chapter, I don't know how to feel about him, there were some scenes before where he shows he's not happy with the FL being pregnant because the baby will steal her attention from him. I was taken aback when he started to behave like this because, in the chapter when he learned that the FL fell off the cliff and was pregnant, he showed joy amidst the other negative emotions. Of course, this was before he collapsed. I know he's poisoned and that something happened inside him when he received the news of the FL's fall, so I want to know if he changes his attitude towards his child when he's cured or something.
I like the novel so far, so if the answer is no and he's the kind of father who only tolerates his kid because of his wife, please tell me and I'll stop reading the novel, I can't stand this kind of ML.

To me, it was at the last part of the novel, there was a misunderstanding between the mains, but it was resolved in 5 chapters or so. In general, this novel is pretty much chill to read.

How bad are the misunderstandings? Are they quickly resolved? I mean, in NU some said the ML is kind of tsundere and we know this personality is perfect for misunderstandings and angst.
I don't know if to give the novel a chance, so I need some incentives.

How is the romance? I don't have a problem with an unhinged FL, even less if it's because of revenge (I love revenge stories) but I'm a romance girl so I want to know how is the mains dynamics.
Also, are there explicit r*pe scenes? That's my trigger but if I can skip the sickening details I'm good.

Reading your comment I think you could like a book series called Mindf*ck by S.T. Abby (there are a ton of triggers, but I wanted revenge so bad that I mentally prepared for months to read it).
