I dont recommend this drama. The genre is comedy makjang: the stability of the rich & privileged is disturbed by the poor-turn-to-be-new-rich & his "bad mom" as mastermind. The script quality is so bad: a lot of part are illogical, & most of time are too good to be true because the writer dont know how to build the solid story. Many characters are just like a tool, 1 dimentional.
This drama heavily rely on the main leads. We even cant really feel director Kim Hee Won's signature (her uniqueness on directing like on Little Women) because the script bad quality.
This drama would much better, if Park Ji Eun's script was much better too. The production team, the director, & especially the casts save this drama. Almost 80-90 minutes per eps, so basically this drama is equal to 21-24eps with 60minutes/eps, but the story's logic is still lack. CLOY script quality is so much better than this. Its structure is more solid (eventhough I need more than 4 months to finish it, because JTBC's Chocolate already captivated me). The characters like Eun Seong & Mo Seul Hee are just like tools & 2 dimentional: they come from humble/poverty background, & then their existence just to do many crimes to the rich 🫠 Seems "comedy makjang" ala QoT isn't writer Park Ji Eun eminence 😂 I dont think I can watch her works again. Eventhough I didnt get CLOY fever on 2020, I can still say that the metaphor about north & south korea relation is great. And the drama shows nice research about north korea. I hold myself to still watch QoT till finish, (eventhough sometimes I skip the insignificant scenes & most of time mad to my tv because of the illogical parts), because I already started watch it.
*If the eps 16 is total mess, maybe the rumour about CLOY plagiarism will spread again 😅
Eps 3-4 are so good. I cant wait for next eps.. Lee soo yeon writer's drama is always great ✨️ chemistry between ju ji hoon & han hyo joo is very strong (& shippable), like lee soo yeon previous drama (bae doo na & cho seung woo). She knows how to make solid script & make all actors & actress stand out..
Wow! Eps 8 is crazy hahahahaha I love it. Seems Na Moon Young's father is the murder of Ha Yoon Jeon Joo's father. Na moon young's father then stealed Ha Yeon Joo's father identity (to avoid debt). On earlier eps we saw there was an ahjussi who come to visit Na Moon Young's father, & then her father died.
This is extremely good, why so underrated 🫠 a lot of hidden motive 😂 seems Ha Yeon Joo & Cha Sung Jae are on different "ship".. one or both of them try to betray the other one
I feel like KSH popularity and KJW is carrying the show right now ,The Storyline is becoming mixed up,frustrating…
By the way I'm happy because many people openly discuss about QOT's problem on mydramalist. Sometimes people cant openly speak up their evaluation about high profile drama, because many fans will mad on them 🫣

I have different opinion, but I can understand & respect your point. I think, every artwork has its own uniqueness, but at the same time, we can compare it to the previous works to trace the pattern of the artist/writer as her signature & career journey.. As a famous writer, she has own signature. Her pattern is always obvious, eventhough she always try to set up new world: alien, mermaid, north korea, social class. She likes to explore "different world" between FL & ML. So love is something that come from FL & ML's hardwork to fight against the world. I'm not her fan, eventhough I can enjoy some of her works.
I'm still watching QOT & I will watch it till finish. But IMHO, this time her script seems lack of focus. Too many issue that she brings to the table: rare disease, problem of marriage, triangle love, & makjang elements. And at the same time, too many characters. And my biggest diasppointment comes from the story's lack of logic. Thats why I said that CLOY script quality is better than this.
We are already on 9th eps (with about 80-85minutes for each eps), but our hero & heroine still on "miscommunication phase" like early eps, as well as Hae In disease. The story isnt progressive enough for 80-85minutes per eps (QOT seems like weekend family drama LOL). I totally agree with "lacks the balance".
The director & casts save this drama's charm. I hope second half of the drama will better. And the writer will not suddenly throw all (too good to be true) solutions.
Just finished watching. This is so good, much better than a lot of romance youth cdrama. I follow through 22eps smoothly. Zhai zi lu is so good, much better than many young actor in his age range. Ko chia yes is always good as usual. If the finale eps could much intense, it would be much better.
