I've just finished watching last eps. This drama is incredible. As mystery (east asian) drama lover, I have never watched drama like how TDR approach. This drama is so detail to modus of crime that using vulnerable side of human psychology/behaviour. I cried on last eps because of whale story.
Thank you writer-director (our amazing woman director), Wu Kang Ren, Sun Li, all casts, & all crews for this dark yet educative drama! I wish I can watch more cdrama with mature & excellent quality like this (or The Long Night, The Bad Kids, & The Long Season). With this level, thriller cdrama can compete powerfully with the mystery genre of kdrama.

Better to pass it LOL I watch first 5eps of POJ, & I dont get the level of excitement that previously I got from Blossom & Fated Heart. But because of I trust director qingjie, I want to try more eps. At the same time, the writer is someone who wrote LLTG. When I watch LLTG I almost skip first 20eps, & join when the plot is really moving & having tension. So I try to keep follow daily eps update. But now I feel bad, I was betrayed by the scriptwriter. Then I rewatch Blossom & Fated Heart for last 3days.
For ongoing drama, now I follow Her Blaze & Climax. I love both. Also In my radiant season for my relax time.
At first I randomly watched this drama because I trust the line up of main leads. Surprisingly I enjoyed watch 6 first eps. This drama sit comfortably on the line between suspense & makjang genre. I really enjoy it: the tension, the pace, & the dramatic conflict. Back then I thought: I am going to watch this drama until I feel no longer enjoy it. I amaze how I keep follow this on going drama daily til eps >20.
Usually everyday at 5PM I watch PoJ, then I watch Her Blaze. But today I cant watch PoJ new eps. Its hard for me to watch a great production drama with bad script. Today eps is so bad. Since first, Her Blaze is a makjang drama: the realism is second priority compare to the tension & dramatic soap opera. so I can enjoy it freely (like I watched The Double on 2024).
Today I watch till eps 22, I love the show. Even in this makjang drama, I can get meaningful conversation about clash of philosophical value: "numbers" & human, also criticism about kindness in capitalist system. Something that I never get from PoJ till eps 34.
I am deeply in love with eps 26. I watch PoJ especially for Director Zeng QingJie martial art/action/war scene!
I keep rewatch the war/action scene on eps 26. Pause, play, rewind, play, pause, play, etc because I am too amazed with the cinematography & mise en scene.
I cried on last eps because of whale story.

I am so grateful Wu Kang Ren play Luo Liang. He can greatly pull this gray character.
When I am watching TDR, I can feel movie-vibe treatment so I guess the director is someone who previously make movie. I check MDL, & I am right.
