At first I randomly watched this drama because I trust the line up of main leads. Surprisingly I enjoyed watch 6 first eps. This drama sit comfortably on the line between suspense & makjang genre. I really enjoy it: the tension, the pace, & the dramatic conflict.
Back then I thought: I am going to watch this drama until I feel no longer enjoy it.
I amaze how I keep follow this on going drama daily til eps >20.

Usually everyday at 5PM I watch PoJ, then I watch Her Blaze. But today I cant watch PoJ new eps. Its hard for me to watch a great production drama with bad script. Today eps is so bad.
Since first, Her Blaze is a makjang drama: the realism is second priority compare to the tension & dramatic soap opera. so I can enjoy it freely (like I watched The Double on 2024).

Today I watch till eps 22, I love the show. Even in this makjang drama, I can get meaningful conversation about clash of philosophical value: "numbers" & human, also criticism about kindness in capitalist system.
Something that I never get from PoJ till eps 34.

Now I am ready for last 6eps!

I rarely watch Chinese drama, is it good?
Very very good. The production quality is "international" level (above usual costume cdrama).

I am deeply in love with eps 26. I watch PoJ especially for Director Zeng QingJie martial art/action/war scene!
I keep rewatch the war/action scene on eps 26. Pause, play, rewind, play, pause, play, etc because I am too amazed with the cinematography & mise en scene.

After waiting impatiently, finally I get the intensity level that I was craving for on eps 18. I wish I will get…
Thank you so much Director Qingjie! Your artworks are always impresive! The new drama is always better the last one, so progresive filmography!

Definitely. The discussions among audiences are very meaningful, not only for the drama/film itself, but also for the audiences. We not only learn to dialogue & understand each other, but also examine ourselves.
That's so precious & enjoyable.

Totally agree. The opinions about chemistry tend to diverse among audiences. That's really depend on "the eye of the beholder".
And I also didnt see their filming BTS (I try to avoid spoiler LOL).

For now, I tend to think: the chemistry will slowly grow along story plot progresses. So eventhough I feel the chemistry is weaker (during first 5eps) than Blossom, I dont mind & I will wait their chemistry getting stronger patiently.

Wasn't the lead half dead when they met? I'm not surprised there wasn't that same upfront chemistry.
Yes, that's right. That's why I dont count their early meeting. The story & camera work start to develop their feeling around last 5minutes on eps 1.

My opinion about chemistry come from the scenes that focus on our couple (in example: the scene when they are getting closer, skinship scene, or the camera become their POV of each other).

I completely understand your explanation, & I also wish the chemistry getting stronger & stronger along our couple's story.(I dont mind slowburn romance, because I love it!)
I trust Qingjie's directing LOL.

What make me excited about this drama is director Zeng Qing Jie. I trust him!
I watched first 5eps, the drama's quality is so good. Beautiful! The budget definitely is higher than Blossom, that's why the production quality is better. But for chemistry aspect, in my opinion, this drama is weaker than Blossom, at least for first couple of eps. When I watched Blossom, within a minute on first encounter ML & FL scene, I can feel the strong chemistry among them. The tension instantly make me fall head over heal in love for the couple.
But it's okay, the chemistry is one aspect. as long as the overall drama quality (script & realisation) are great, I will happily watch till end.
