As someone who watched Hong sisters' drama since Sassy Girl Chunhyang era, watching CTLBT feels nostalgic: the signature character setting & plot of the writers. CTLBT feels like The Greatest Love + Master Sun.
On eps 2, I was teary because of this nostalgic vibes. I also love "dark" vibes on A Quite Woman filming /scene. I am so happy for first 6eps.
But unfortanely after watched 12 eps, I feel something off. My Girl, The Greatest Love, You're Beautiful left long lasting after taste for me. I was also very emotional when I watched those dramas. I still listen to those OST till now, & I always recall the emotion back then. But unfortunately I didnt really feel something emotional around eps 9-12. Why did suddenly I loose my empathy for the protagonist? Why all the problems seems like only decoration, that definitely would having happy ending?
My mind actively analyze why. I think the problems come from script structure & dialogue. The script failed to build depthness of the trauma of each character. The triangle love suddenly became main couple part + second couple part + Hiro part. The narative logic like: the manager moved to JHJ's house, but he never met CMH. Etc.
Now I am going to sleep. Seems my mind will still busy to analyze after that.

Iād cast either:- Boran Jin- Johnny Huang - Elvis Han- even Zhou Yi Ran
I love Elvis Han's role as profesional racer on Begin Again. First I watched that drama I felt his acting is convicing. Then I read he is certified racer. So cool
I watch Speed & Love and The Vendetta of An. I hope TVOA script quality will solid till end. The quality of production is already great. For Speed & Love, if the script & directing quality was much better, this drama would be a breakthrough. For now I love this drama because after long time finally I get "underground" racing drama (I am from generation who grow up by watching The Speed of Legend, Initial D, The Outsiders, & Devil Beside You LOL).
For now I watch Sniper Butterfly only by skimming š
I am ready for Strange tales of Tang Dynasty season 3,5! š Release 17th Dec.
Tbh the issue isnt even esther's voice, the issue is the fl's character and the script, idk why they have my queen…
Totally agree. This drama would be much better if the script & directing are better.
2 days ago I said to my friend that I love this drama because I love racing scenes (as someone who grew up watching Initial D, The Legend of Speed, Devil Beside You, & The Outsiders, I enjoy this drama), but I must say I feel uncomfortable with "bipolarity" of this drama. The bright "funny" parts are too separated with the "underground" side. Main problem obviously come from the script. But, at the same time, I feel incoherent between those 2 sides, so the problem come from the 2 directors' vision & plan.
Esther has ability to acting, but the script doesnt really give justice to her exploration, also the directors' direction are inconsistent.
I am so happy watching Speed & Love. I feel nostalgic to The Legend of Speed (racer & his loveable girlfriend), & Initial D (hill racing & AE86) era. I love racing scenes! At the same time, also remind me to taiwanese & korean drama 2000s era like The Outsiders (competition between gang/team), also Endless Love/Autumn in My Heart & Devil Beside You (not-related-blood sibling).
The Glory is very great. It's also a success in China. Fight for Love is also great. Their war scenes and palace…
Both dramas are "okay" but my SVIP has been wasted. Because both dramas werent fit for my standar.
I bought SVIP because The Glory novel & The Double novel are written by same author. I watched The Glory until eps 19-20. 1. I cant still ignored all the illogical parts along halfway eps. Because spontaniously I laughed on the illogical parts. The scene that supposed to be having suspense/mysterious/melodramatic emotion turn to comedy. 2. the acting style of FL, mother of FL (too bold), & ML (too flat) are too different. When those 3 characters on same scene, I feel like the scene isnt convincing because of disconnectedness among the character. 3. Similar problem with different acting style, The Glory production mix "proper aesthetic" production with "makjang" vibe (The Glory's novel writer is the same author with The Double. I love the double!). So I feel disconnectedness.
For Fight for Love, I bought SVIP because I trust the director. He is the director of A Journey to Love. I think the problem come from the script & acting department. I feel like something that isnt sitting properly.
CTLBT feels like The Greatest Love + Master Sun.

But I'm curious, who is the scriptwriter?

I watched on DVD back then. Just now I search on youtube & I found it š„

Anyone here who also watch those film/dramas?

I bought Express for The Glory & Fight for love. But both stories turned into disappointment, so I dropped them halfway. Such a waste.
Edit: Word "waste" refers to Express (SVIP), not the dramas.
