I watched the last 6eps The prisoner of beauty yesterday. I didnt cry at all. I didnt feel sad either. Then I watched eps 9 Pump up the healthy love. I enjoy it. Then the last couple of minute of 9th eps, I suddenly cried & felt so sad. I've never imagined that I would cried because of this drama. DHJ's monolog about our relationship with our own body at the end of the drama (before epilog) really hurt my heart.
i'm enjoying this alot! can someone recommend me a similar drama that has the same vibe? i like green flag, supportive…
I want to add drama that havent mention above yet: Run On. This drama is so unique. It can capture the subtlety of our every day life, especially our verbal speech & act toward others, & also to ourselves. The dialogue is emphatetically witty.
This drama is on my fav all the time list. I dont know how many times I rewatch it.
A Journey to Love was not have illogical & incoherent problem.in half way of that drama, I already expect some…
Totally agree LOL
In TPOB context, the script writer, director, & editor failed to maintain the pace of the story. There are a lot of not-really-important part on pps 10-20. Why they dont using this phase for making 6last eps have better pace, climax & conclusion.
I haven't watched Wu Haochen (Wei Qu) since NIF2, where he had a main role that IMHO he didn't quite live up to.…
Totally agree. Just now I also discussed this topic with my close friend. My opinion is similar with you.
I hope Wu Hao Chen can get a lot of "serious" dramas offer. I think, his acting & aura is more suitable with tipical "serious" drama than idol one. Maybe, in the future he can play on other Daylight Ent's new dramas.

In my opinion, (I'm sorry, my previous comment wasnt complete) similarity of problem among these 2 dramas: last 5-6 eps are too rushed, also many characters arent well written & one dimensional.
So, I think, script-wise AJTL is better than this. Because AJTL script is more logic & solid (I have same opinion with you on this point).
The script isnt good, especially last 6eps. There are a lot of illogical & incoherent part. There is a problem with editing too, on eps 32-36 suddenly "the speed" of each scene is increasing (I feel like I watch with speed 1,25x). A lot of characters are like "tools" or brainless just for story catalyst. The villains are also bad written. This drama reminds me to A Journey to Love' s problem.
I dont mind with the death of characters, as long as the logic is solid (like Love in Pavilion). I also dont mind with "light" political intrique like Blossom, as long as the script is logical & coherent, & all aspects of the drama are solid (I love Blossom so much!!).
The acting quality of all actors (I enjoy Xuan Lu's acting!), the chemistry of FL & ML (yuning & zuer do great job), our F4, Manman's maids (and also my wetv express!) make me still watching till end, eventhough I watch it with a grumble. Seems director Deng Ke's dramas arent my cup of tea.
Just finished watching all eps. There are minor flaws around last 3eps. But over all I'm very satisfied with #dearhongrang 🔥 Now I'm teary. The 11eps journey is amazing.
When I watched half of first eps, I felt familiarity. I loved this kind of tension & ambience. It felt familiar, reminded me to Voice. Then I checked MDL, & found that this drama came from Voice & The Guest's director! So I'm right, I can feel the director's signature LOL.
I realized costume cdrama tend to focus on justice & wisdom from upper class society to ordinary people (top to down). So power struggle happen between themself: the rich yet powerful who protect ordinary people vs the corrupt one. While costume kdrama focus on ordinary people seek for justice & fight against corrupt upper class (bottom to up).
The question about the origin of evil is a good one and it is also tied up in the concept of Predeterminism and…
Thanks for elaborate this topic. Also another value that this drama try to provoke is "our hate toward evilness, is also an evil potent/tendency/act".
The dark evil tree in this drama also keep reminds me to nature law of blackhole. Even the light cant escape its gravitation. And blackhole keep absord the light around it.
Love in pavilion give us reflective idea about the origin of evilness & social disparity. What is evilness?: Is it a Being on our universe (so it is always there & absolut)? Is it only implication of natural law from human perspective (because our universe is it what is it)? Evilness come from the absense of goodness? Or evilness is actually only about different value priority?
Those worldview will affect our perspective toward life. Should we do sacrifice to eliminate evilness? Especially when it "always there" & part of our imperfection as entity in this universe.
This drama has solid script (the structure is very good), good acting , beautiful ost, & acceptable production quality. The pace of story is also good. (Love in pavilion doesnt do A journey to love's mistake toward ending.)
PS: Finally zhangyunlong get spotlight. He is so underrated eventhough his acting is good.
Seems I have to do philosophical research why a film/series with illogical script & poor aesthetic quality can still so impactful on audience through ethical & emotional aspect 😭😭😭
TWOT is so relevant with recent years global geopolitics. Thats why its feel more heartbreaking 💔 Can all of human "enjoy beauty of life & live a free life", and ultimately, a peaceful life? Or peaceful world is something like this drama tries to depict: its like white olive tree. It only grows & lives in human belief.
